Only the sesame seeds seems to been able to cling onto my everything bagel (very scan onion/poppy/garlic) on the sandwich. The eggs were bland and were extremely lightly scrambled... like why do that, just fry them and poke the top and make a fried egg sandwich OR flip your wrist 20 more times to make a more proper scramble. At least they didn't overload it with bacon (sarcasm), the bacon was also rather mundane. They do have some intriguing vegan options and a good menu. Also a bit on the pricey side, 950 for a bagel bacon/egg/cheese. If I lived right near by, I would probably pony up here often as the inside has comfy seating, good wifi. But it closes at 2pm.... so not sure if I will ever be back.

I could have eaten three. Or five. Or eight. Sadly, I am doughy and round (just like a bagel) so I only ate one. But it was so so so good. There was a crisp to the exterior, but the interior had a tender and chewy texture. It was literally the perfect bagel. Every other bagel I've ever eaten pales in comparison to this one. I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat a supermarket bagel again. So Public Espresso has ruined me for all other bagels, but maybe that's a good thing considering my doughy, round body...

So we went at peak brunch time on a Sunday and lucked out with a perfect indoor table which had amazing cross breeze from their open door concept. I truly felt like I was in Europe at a cafe. I got the elevated charcuterie plate with the house made seasonal (blueberry) jam. It was delicious. My partner got the chicken salad sandwich which was incredibly good, a different take on a traditional chicken salad. I got a watermelon plum lemonade (amazing!) and my partner got one of their seasonal lattes which was perfectly flavored, not overwhelming and you can still taste the quality of the coffee. Fun coffee shop in the heart of downtown Buffalo, definitely worth a visit…read more I was staying at Hotel Lafayette for a couple of nights and right before I checked out I decided to swing by to grab a coffee. While you can enter from the street, it's also connected from inside the hotel, which is honestly how it caught my attention. The space is actually pretty big, bigger than I expected. It's open, colorful, there's a ton of natural light, cool murals all over the walls, luscious greenery, and a variety of seating options. The counter where you order is nice and open, with a big menu, and a sheet of glass between the customers and what I quickly came to know is their staple item, the cruller - a donut-like pastry that's super airy on the inside with a delicious icing glaze on the outside. Along with my oat milk latte, I had to try one... ok two. I got a seasonal Pride one and I can't remember the other one. Both were dreamy and it was easy to see why they are so popular. If I lived in the area this spot would totally be a go-to for working out of when I want to switch up my scenery.
