This particular McDonald's was just west of the Ottaviano Metro station. I used a kiosk and ordered a cappuccino for 1,30€. Apparently for Italians, it was very strange to be drinking one after 11 am. I'm sure with this touristy location, the employees were used to such odd behavior. I just needed something pre-dinner to help keep me awake! They had a few tables outside. Since the weather was nice, I opted for a seat outside.

They have a pretty large bakery/cafe part at the front before you get to the kiosks for the regular McDonad's items you'd expect to see. They have their own variations in Roma which was cool to see. The food hits the spot and their coffee tastes better than the kind you'd get back in the states. It IS busy though so keep that in mind. Pretty loud inside too given the number of customers there.

A vacant seat or table can be hard to find as this was a popular location. The dining area was a bit packed when I was here on a Thursday for lunch. They even had a guy near the entrance that was helping keep the dining area clean with disposing the trash from the customers.

Eating at the train station in Europe is a pretty common occurrence. I make a point of rarely enjoying cuisine that I can find local to me in the states when I'm traveling. I want to embrace the culture, the food, and every aspect of the experience while I am somewhere other than home. As our trip was winding down, and we were in the train station, heading towards our way home, we decided to grab a bite to eat in the train station. There are so many choices, and seating is limited all over the station, both in and around the restaurants, and the station itself. AC seems to be nonexistent in many places throughout Italy, and the train station is definitely not an exception. Ham Holy burger seemed like a great place to try. There was a line, and I was hoping that was going to be indicative of the cuisine. We ordered burgers and fries, and they were absolutely over priced, and the food was not only underwhelming, it was downright bad. We ordered at the counter, and quickly tried to find a place to sit. The guy behind the counter was dripping sweat, was completely rude. A lady with an equally bad attitude brought our food to the table, and we felt like she was literally throwing it on the table. I asked for napkins and ketchup for the fries, and it was like asking for the winning lottery ticket. The fries were barely edible, and four fries at literally had just come out of the fryer, they were not only tasteless, but over cooked and unseasoned. The burgers, I don't even know what to say about them. They were that bad. The meat tasted like it had been frozen, and rather than grilled, almost cooked in the deep fryer . Not appealing at all. The cheese tasted like plastic that had melted all over the burger. All in all, not a place I would recommend, and a place I absolutely would not go back to.

I was surprised by the selection of pastries and goodies, I didn't try those, but maybe better than the warm selection. I hate to say this but even if it is McDonald's... the quality could be much better. Also, I don't like when places waste packaging. I ordered a bottle of water with my meal and they gave me two bags because they wanted to put the bottled water in a cup holder and then into a bag. There is a yummy restaurant just behind and to the right of this place with really affordable quality food, I would go there first!
