My wife and I had a few hours to wait at Fiumicino and decided to stop into Beercode for lunch. Our expectation could be described as "...as long as it's better than airplane food." Well, we were certainly surprised by how good an airport restaurant could be. I had the beef carpaccio (I mean, who has raw beef at an airport?!?). It was delicious...the beef was tender and fresh. And they paired it with a really tasty Rosso beer. My wife had a burger and enjoyed it very much. Our servers were friendly and very helpful in deciding on what to eat. And even though the place got very busy during the lunch rush, they made sure we were well taken care of and never rushed us out or implied they needed the table. All-in-all one of the better airport restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something good and quick on your way through FCO!!! read more

We were waiting for our international flight back to the states and we wanted to eat dinner before our flight. We ordered beef burgers, chicken burger, and a pasta dish, and several beers. Everything was excellent and the wait staff we had always had a smile on their face and came by our table and gave us eye contact to see if we needed anything several times throughout our meal. The prices are what you would expect from an international airport. After getting done with my weekend getaway in Rome, I went to FCO Leonardo Da Vinci airport to await my flight back to reality. My girlfriend's flight was an hour earlier than mine, which gave me some time to wander around the terminal to see what it had to offer. I was a bit hungry, as our flights were very early morning, and we didn't have time to get breakfast. So I looked for the best open food place available. Beercode was that place. I checked out their menu, and decided on the chicken and mozzarella sandwich, which came with sun dried tomatoes. To drink, I ordered an Americano and a bottled water. The sandwich was pretty tasty, with the sundried tomatoes adding a nice kick of flavor. The coffee was ok. Later on I learned it was only 1 shot of espresso. But that was not a big deal, as I got stronger coffee later on in my itinerary. I got here just before it got very busy, which happened pretty fast after I sat down to eat my meal. The place is pretty big, has ample seating, and is kept clean. The staff members were great, they kept the place running smoothly. This was a nice stop along my journey back to my clinical rotation site. If you find yourself in this part of FCO airport, give this place a shot. read more

AWESOME! The airport food game in Italy doesn't suck. We stopped in for lunch. Had the Pozzuto and buffalo mozzarella, VIP (Very Italian Panini) and the fried appetizer. I was hoping for a nice cold beverage before boarding a 12 hour flight. Apparently they have plenty of ice available if you order an Aperol Spritz, but magically there is no ice available if you order a Jack & Coke. I wouldn't have spent 9 euros for a room temperature Coke if I would have known. We would have ordered dinner here as well, but decided to go elsewhere after being treated rudely by staff for having the audacity to ask nicely for a glass of ice. read more

I'm not sure why this spot has such a low rating because we found it to be rather enjoyable (for what it is: a burger place in an international airport). We needed a restaurant to grab a bite before a flight and, for noting else but lack of options, we decided on Beercode. However, we were pleasantly surprised! Not only did the menu make us feel right at home (USA) but the food was tasty and the staff was wonderful. The decision to have a burger at Beercode is the right one, they do a solid job of making them well. In fact, I'd stack them against another chain in the USA any day. But the staff is where this place really shines: we had an amazing waitress who was not only attentive but also said "eh, don't worry about it" when I was 50¢ short (the tab claimed literally every last Euro I had to my name!) We stopped at this place for a light lunch in-between flights. It's located in a food court, and I must say that we cruised the entire area a couple of times before deciding where to eat, because every place seemed appealing. At the end we decided to go for Beercode because it was the only place offering a wide variety of food "portions-wise": here you can find a few tapas, small panini, mid-sized focacce, but also hamburgers "American style". They have a full service dining area and an "outside" bar area. We had plenty of time, so we decided to sit and have just some tapas. We ordered mozzarella di bufala with prosciutto, focaccia with ham, and olive ascolane (fried olives) and accompanied the food with a glass of Prosecco. The food was really good, however I can't say the same for the service: the waiters were never around and when they were, it was difficult to get their attention. That is why when we stopped here again (on our way back to the US) we decided to eat at their bar area. This time we ordered panini, and they were very good as well. Tried this place at the Airport in Rome as it had a takeaway sandwich option with a more available variety of sandwiches than the only other place in our terminal, which was more of a pizza joint. We had x 2 sandwiches from here, and frankly, both tasted really good and did the job. I wish there had been more than two measly pieces of Sun-dried Tomato in my Roast Pork sandwich, but the pork itself was super flavorful. The Prosciutto + Mozzarella sandwhich was another winner, with great taste and adequate fillings. We asked them to lighly toast the sandwiches for us and they were both really tasty! I read the reviews after we ate and was surprised they were so low. We had good service, gentleman took our drink and food order promptly and delivered it accurately. The burger was good and chips were delicious! As with most European restaurants he didn't bother us throughout our meal and waited until we ask for the check. Terrible experience due to a waitress with dark hair with a hat and pink elastic pony tail. It became very obvious she had no intent of providing us proper service, not sure if she has this odd way of getting pleasure out of intentionally causing us to walk out by ignoring our table. This is the ONLY burger joint in terminal E so we have it a shot. It's expensive, think 17€ for a burger and fries. The service was fast and friendly. The burgers on the other hand were cold. The patty and all of the toppings. Toppings were plentiful, fresh and cold which is good but the patty should not be cold. It was ice cold. So were the fries. Literally COLD. So we got to the airport quite a bit early and we were looking for some grub prior to our flight. We have to say, after spending a week in Rome, we were pretty done with Italian and were looking for something different, maybe some brunch or a burger. This place caught our eye because, for one, it was close to our gate and for two, it offered a "Premium Brunch Special" for 15 Euros. It included waffle or toast with nutella chocolate, scrambled eggs, buttered toast, fruit juice, fruit cup/salad and coffee. My wife had this, and I had the Porchetta Panini. All the food was meh, place seemed to have a lot of customers due to the location and their selection of beers. Terrible service, waited over 20 minutes and several attempts until I finally got the attention of the waitress when the place was half empty. There was only one waitress working all of the tables, and another individual who just went around replacing placemats, as far as I can tell.
