No difference between a McDonald from the USA with this McDonald in Italy. Setup and offering felt the same...

We ordered our meal through the Kiosk. The order was ready relatively quick. There's a screen at the counter that lets you know when your number is ready. There's an upcharge for the sauces. Our "value" meal did not come with nuggets like it does in the states. Not sure why they give you an option for sauces. Seating was limited. We ended up sitting at the coffee shop next door. The burger and fries is what you would expect from a McDonald's. The sodas were terrible though. Had the bubble guts a couple hours after eating here. read more

It is conveniently located opposite the train station in the main area. Tourist crowd, tourist spot prices. Typical Mcdonald and therevis a burger King next door too. Order placed in kiosk, and food is ready for pickup in 5 minutes. Take out or you can eat in there. Lots of people during lunchtime. read more

I wouldn't normally leave a review for McDonald's, but when you haven't had bacon & eggs in Italy for a week, a bacon, egg & cheese on an English muffin (3.20€) tasted very good, before boarding the train for Pisa. This McD's at the Florence train station was welcoming. The service was good and all the food came out quick. I didn't like their small chicken sandwich with ketchup--poor flavor. The wings were small but really crispy and tasty. The banana shake was pretty good as well. If anything, this place is a nice place to sit and relax before your train arrives. It was a sweltering mid-afternoon when we were in town doing some sightseeing. Lo and behold, the golden arches appeared just around the corner. Perfect timing to stretch the legs and replenish our energy. It's always an eyeopening experience visiting the chain in foreign countries because their menus are so different from the ones at home. On this occasion, I spotted something I would never have imagined from McDonald's kitchen. McLobster roll!? For €11 only? And it came with a soda even! I couldn't believe my eyes. We got one to try out of curiosity and were pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was actually quite good. Now if only they would bring this to the states. The restaurant itself was fine, not dirty. The workers were normal except that they spoke Italian. But it was a neat mini riposo for us. read more

Trying McDonald's abroad is always fun to see the differences in menu items. Italy specifically has Chicken Wings, McToast, Panzerotti, McCrunchy Bread, and a Baci Perugina McFlurry which are the ones I suggest you try! All tasted great and came out pretty fast given how busy the spot was. read more

Very busy location and had to collect my breakfast from two counters.

From USA so we liked checking out the McDonalds. Liked the private eating cubby areas. Had pastry and coffee bar. Ordered from kiosks, which are just starting to appear in the U.S. Didn't have the delicious sweet tea we liked, but the peach or lemon iced tea was sooo good. Didn't try the food. I stopped eating at McDonalds about a year ago. While in Florence we spotted one and wanted to try it out. The 1st thing I notice is they serve BEER at Micky D's in Europe. Everything tasted different ( it seemed lighter ) from the Big Mac's, French Fries & Filet o Fish. Even the Cola's tasted better. This place was horrible. Bottom line. Let me preface this by saying that I'm a huge mcdonalds fan. I'm from the states and I frequent Micky D's quite a bit. So when I travel all around the world I like to try the Big Mac combo in every country to see if they can hold the standards of the original. This one failed miserably. The buns were dry and stale. The cheese got baked into the box. The lettuce was wilted and BROWN. Clearly this burger has been sitting under a heat lamp or some sort for waaaaaay too long. This was no way to treat an American icon. And to top it off...they didn't top off my soda. It was like 20% empty. This place is dirty, the staff are rude and sometimes outright hostile to customers, and they charge for bathroom entry. The tables and seats are unwiped, the staff gave us the wrong sandwiches and then proceeded to tell us off for opening the box (to discover the wrong order). The ordering machines weren't working and the staff were happy to sit around rather than staff the counters. This place is an embarrassment to the brand. Wanted to try it out ouf of curiosity. I got the Big Tasy for 5 Euros and 6 Nuggets , also 5 euros. The nuggets tasted about the same but the meat in the burger just tasted better and fresher. Espresso's are also one Euro. read more

As far as a McDonald's goes, this isn't the worst I've been in... They have the touch screens, which are handy for a foreign language. The food was fresh but the restaurant was a bit grungy and I wasn't very impressed with the number of flies around. For a quite bite, it was fine. First of all, let me say not all of the photos are for McDonalds, some are for the other location that shares the space. The fries here were horrible - soggy and coldish. It's located inside the Florence Santa Maria Novella train station and set up in a food court with other businesses. Like everywhere else in Europe, you have to pay for the bathroom but if you have your receipt (within an hour of purchase) you can go in free. Food wise, the breakfast food tasted fine to us. If you like ketchup with your hash browns or eggs, prepare to pay .50 euros for one or two packets. Also make sure to say cafe latte instead of just latte. We didn't know they serve milk in a coffee cup so we were in for a surprise without our coffee. That is our fault with the language barrier. Lesson learned :) read more

I had a very bad experience at this mcdonalds during my recent trip to Florence. When I stood in line to order I noticed they featured a vegetarian burger with a veggie patty inside. As a vegetarian who grew up eating veggie burgers at mcdonalds in india, I was very excited and confirmed with the lady at the counter that they actually serve a vegetarian burger!! We placed our orders, paid and waited for our burgers. It almost took them 15 mins to give us our burgers and when we started eating we noticed it was just lettuce tomato and a slice of cheese, no patty!!!! I went back to counter and the lady said this is all you get for a veggie burger and the veggie patty was only a limited edition!! Well, it would have been nice for her to let me know before I paid!!! I expressed my disappointment and asked for the manager who was very rude and did not even apologize. I asked for a refund but they refused. Never ever going back. This is no way to treat your customers, and this certainly not what American corporations like mcdonalds stand for!! read more

I went up saw the supervisor asked for some cream and got the same reaction from Virginia the supervisor I assume. If fast food workers hate their job that's on them. BEWARE They have a system of overcharging. The till readouts are obscured by menu sheets and we were asked for 2 euros more than what appeared on the printed receipt. When challenged we were told "a mistake". However the staff including manager's body language confrmed the whole staff are part of this scam. read more
