    Oreo Milkshake
    Tina S.

The Diner has disappointed me. I went for a Sunday brunch with my friend because we were missing American diner food, and I ordered a french toast and Oreo milkshake. My friend ordered a Western omelette with hash browns. My Oreo milkshake did not seem to have much Oreos in it, and it didn't taste very Oreo-y. The toast had a grainy texture, and it is probably because they used whole wheat bread. But the egg in between each slice of bread looked and tasted funny. My friend was upset about her hash browns because they seemed more like chickpea nuggets than potato hash browns. Awkward. To top it off, while we were still eating, three different waiters came up to us asking if they could take our plates. Talk about miscommunication.

Best American dinner food experience in Firenze. My roommate and I would go when we we felt homesick and missed homemade pancakes and crunchy bacon. It all tasted so good - the spot is small but they have a nice seating area outside so it's perfect for a nice day.

    Banana pancakes!

Yes, we fell into the temptation...banana pancakes were screaming my name. We had done so well to avoid American temptations, but after 3 months in Italy, we caved and wanted some flour patty goodness. Yes, all Americans when we visited, but sometimes you just need a taste then back to the Italian dishes. If you just need a taste of "home" this should do it for you. All we've had is the breakfast but it was very good and lots of food.

Every time I come to the Diner, I left full as an egg. I prefer come here for brunch, or American breakfast, and fill me with eggs benedict, hollandaise sauce, English muffins and Canadian bacon. Yes, without shame. Nothing more beautiful then round off with banana split or another lovely powerful sweet. Nice place, colorful, american and 50ies friendly. You will find a bit of everything on the menu: jacket potatoes, bagels, burgers, fried chicken, wrap ... and drink from the classic coffee and milkshake to fruit and vegetables centrifuges. The first time you do a check in with Yelp is provided to you a free coffee.

I like a lot the atmosphere absolutely 100% American - maybe a bit more colored than actual diner in the US though, which are more sober and black and white as far as i remember but who cares? It is a very fun place to eat. But the food did not convince me fully, I have to say (whereas I was craving for a burger that night! so i should have been very easy to convince, piece of cake). The burger was really not great: the bun was totally soaked with the water coming out of the meat which made me suspect that the meat was not of great quality... But even if it was, it was not nice to eat at to eat this bun absolutely full of water... and in the end i even did not eat it. The rib were apparently not great either, not tender at all... But fries were good! Overall, i was left a bit unsatisfied (despite the nice fries). But i might come back to test the brunch!!

Egg sandwich. Not good. That thing on the left is a "hash brown". More like a deep fried fritter, but not good.

I AM SAVING YOU FROM A HORRIBLE MEAL!!! We wanted breakfast besides pastries, so my wife found this place. As soon as we got there it looked very unimpressive with plastic orange seats outside. We sat down and looked at the menu. Definitely NOT a diner menu, but I figured we would try it anyway. I had the Spanish Omelette with salsa and Pecorino, and a side of crispy bacon. My wife got the breakfast sandwich. The omelette was cooked to death. Completely brown on both sides. It literally had something like Pace Picante and way too much cheese. I love cheese, but if it was cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, provolone, it would have been fine. The cheese was overpowering and inedible. Less is more with a strong cheese (or mix the cheese with a milder cheese) My bacon was super thin. I asked for it crispy and it looked like they just put it in the deep fryer for way too long. I couldn't pick up a piece without it crumbling in my hand. Basically like powder. The "hash browns" were like a fritter with a few shreds of potato in it. (Not in a good way) My wife's "breakfast sandwich" was not good either. The fruit skewer did not look fresh either. We were given glasses for water, but no water. If you are charging $9 for a breakfast it should be edible. This was very disappointing. Avoid this tourist trap. We wanted a change in food close to home. This is nothing like an American breakfast. Save your money! I can only imagine how horrible the lunch is. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Great place for all day breakfast! And they have turkey bacon- all I needed with blueberry pancakes and eggs! Coming back for sure.

Twix and strawberry milkshake and a side of fries

If you need an America fix the diner is perfect. Being a study abroad student and missing New York I needed a taste of home. I had the twix milkshake and it was great. You would think there would be ketchup on the table but they only get be you little cups of it. The burgers looked delicious as well. They also run some deals...on Wednesdays free American coffee and at certain times free mimosas

American Breakfast in Firenze, Italia! Close to The Duomo, this is off the beaten path but sure worth the trip!!
