What is with the local McDonalds in the Fairfax area not having the sugar free french vanilla syrup flavoring? In this day and age of cutting calories and diabetics not allowed the sugar, I would think it would be something they would strive to have available. The only thing consistent about this place is how slooooooooow the service is. It has been this way for years. After my brief encounter with the person who I assume was was the manager (cause they get to wear the fancy shirt) I can now see this place is "managed"horribly. Today, I waited 12 minutes for my order and 1/2 of my order was cold.They placed my sausage egg mcmuffins in the bag on the counter while waiting on the 3 steak bagels. It sat there for at least 10 minutes getting cold. I pointed this out to the manager Jolie (sp?) but she was disinterested and unwilling to listen. All she said was "yeah your order was not ready." She then turned her back on me and walked away. She had no interest in engaging with me. I asked for strawberry jelly and she continued to ignore me. Manager Jolie gets an F and clearly needs to go back to McDonald's University to get retrained. I would rather go to another Mcdonald's further away from me than this location. read more

Service at this McDonald's is the worst in our area. Of any restaurant. They forget something every single time we drive through. But worse, the drive-through attendee is a jerk who should not be employed in any sort of public capacity. Somehow we keep getting this unprofessional moron. Previously I had to drive back days later to claim nuggets that they left out from my daughters happy meal. Even after confirming it with the manager ahead of time, this dummy refused to fulfill the order until somebody else intervened. I'm a sucker for some Mickey Ds, but this location is terrible. The food is ok, but several times I've had issues with service. One time I came an hour before close, was sitting in the drive thru line and they just shut the place down. Came today and ordered 2 four piece tenders, the guy says "we don't have 8 piece tenders." DO NOT GO TO THIS MCDONALDS. I've been to bad McDonald's in the past, but this one takes the cake. Although, to be fair, if you speak Spanish, which I don't, you may have an easier time. To begin, I ordered a Sausage McMuffin with egg and a large coffee with two cream and two sugar. This was around ten o'clock am. It wasn't very busy, and comparatively, for the D.C. area, it was relatively slow. I waited for almost five minutes at the drive thru, before someone took my order. From there, I waited at the pay window, for what seemed like an eternity, before deciding to just roll up to the second window. Well, their credit card machine was down and I had to pay cash, which was whatever. I was then given my food and coffee. They handed me a small coffee, without cream and sugar and informed me that's what I had ordered. I just said screw it at that point and left. However, my biggest point for avoiding this place at all costs is because my sandwich was undercooked. As I stated earlier, I had ordered a Sausage & Egg McMuffin. The egg was runny and almost a sludge like consistency made up of chunks that floated around in a slimy membrane. And, even worse, the sausage was was the palest color grey, to me, it looked extremely undercooked. In the end, maybe its not the right thing to bash this place, but, regardless, I feel it's always the right thing to warn people of bad service and undercooked food. read more

We loved their coffee and its only $1. McCafe is definitely a better deal than Starbucks coffee. The Steak and Egg McMuffin ($3.39) was very delicious. Probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever! Came back and tried the "Mighty Wings".....these are only available in limited markets but they are a clear winner. They reminded me of Popeye's chicken, but not as salty. I go here mostly because it's one of the only places open at the time of morning I to go in to work. This calendar year they've only gotten my order right five different times, and not once within the past month. This morning they couldn't even get me a medium cup of ice. I just gave up and left. Many of this location's problems stem from a language barrier, but not all of them. I have run into obstinance from managers who have a very 'my way or the highway' attitude, some have flat out lied to me. I go here solely because there are no other choices at 0530. I've been to some bad McDonald's before but this is by far the worst. I live nearby and it's 50/50 whether I leave with food when I go there. Typical problems are "we ran out of beef", or "our credit card is down, cash only" or "limited menu". This is after waiting for a half hour in the drive thru. It's also not modern since most real McDonald's have rebuilt a new modern building. I don't understand because it's in a great neighborhood. McDonald's should do better. Been to this location a couple times, and I don't understand why every time I've ordered one item (a small mocha frappe), I've been asked to pull forward and told that my ONE item will be out in "5 minutes." Consistently BAD. The service isn't mean or nasty, just freaking SLOW. I've also been upsold so many times without ever being notified of the extra charge. I see the beverage surcharge on the screen, but nobody ever tells me that it is extra. Their staff also seems to be relatively unfamiliar with the menu, which is saying a lot. I wanted a salad for lunch and didn't want to have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I came to McD's, ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad. Something must have been mislabeled, because what I got was neither grilled chicken (it was fried) nor was it caesar (it was just some lettuce, carrots and tomatoes). Today marks the second time I was missing a part of my order. :( So after noticing that I was missing something had to go back and walk into the location, thus defeating my entire goal of getting a "quick" bite. I dont even think this location actually has hot food. Like ever. From stale fries to cold burgers & flat drinks. This location is TERRIBLEEEEEEEEE. Its only surviving because of the name & the fact that its right off 66 which makes it a popular tourist stop. Plus the very few loyal people who still go here hoping that ONE day they will get hot, just made food. Went here today & bu the time I got home (ONLY 2 MINUTES AWAY) my food was cold. I even kept the heat on blast to ensure hot food which is sad to have to do but hey, thats how bad it is with this location. The customer service here doesn't exist so if you know a rude person who needs a job & doesn't care about anything, tell them to apply! They will for sure get the job. The managers don't help either because they hire the worst of the worst (there are PLENTY of applicants who will work hard & do the job right) then get upset at CUSTOMERS for complaining. I actually heard one of the younger managers complaining that a lady asked for extra items with her order as if selling more food for the business is too much for her to handle. I stopped ordering Uber Eats from here because every single time I would place an order, it would arrive cold & missing half the order. As of reading the pick ticket is the hardest thing to do. Save yourself the trouble & drive to the Jermantown location. Much better service, better HOT food & less chance of getting into an accident or altercation due to poor setup of the drive thru. read more

I enjoy making a trip to this McDonalds on a sunny Sunday morning. I usually order the Big Breakfast, which includes pancakes, hash browns, eggs, sausage, and a biscuit. Pros- -I love the large window in the front of the restaurant. Very sunny. -Food comes quick and hot -Order always is correct Cons- -Very small location and little seating -Usually a bit messy -Very crowded 6 days a week (Usually not on Sundays). It was a rainy evening after many days of constant rain so to no surprise the drive through was wrapped around the building, so I opted to go inside. I was extremely impressed by the hustle and customer service going on inside this restaurant. I always have a bad experience when i go here. I dont know why i try to keep hoping for the better. Today i asked for some ketchup and he gives me 2. Then i said i need more ketchup please and he hands me 1 then looks away. I just left without bothering. For some reason they are very stingy about their ketchup and amount of food they give out.
