This McDonald's was awful. The late night drive thru staff is awful to deal with. I will never be back here again. Super slow service and everyone was sitting outside in the parking lot as we were waiting for our food. The following location is the closest to my residence. I have visited this location sporadically for lunch or otw home from coming out of town--just something quick. Each time it's been a matter of customer service. The workers there on each occasion that I have been there just seem like they don't want to be there. Today was one of those trips only because of surround places required me to go inside (forgetting my mask) or had long lines moving entirely too slow. Once I got in line-- no one announced a welcome or checked in to say Thanks for choosing.. be back to place your order momentarily or something in that sense. It was just quiet--for about 3-5mins. Someone comes on and asked for my order. After the order was place I was told to pull around. I'm one car away from the payment window and apparently there was an issue with someone payment/transaction. Which was another wait or about 3-5. By this time whomever is/was in front of the car in front of me was already gone. I finally get to the window, stated an order that I didn't make and asked what I order. No apology for the wait or anything. Pull up to pick up my order from what seemed like a manager working the window verifies my order and begins to hand me my food. I said "Thank you" and not only was he distracted not paying attention, he didn't respond to my pleasantry. I pulled off heading home in disappointment. Out of all people, I would think the MANAGER would be more customer friendly! Not only was the service trash but the burger was BARELY hot and juicy like the commercial may tell you and the fries were barely warm. Because I hadn't had food, I just went home to eat. Moments like this are why I TRY To steer away from fast food restaurants with the exception of Chic-Fil-A. If places like McDonalds and other restaurants similar has THEIR means of Customer Service ...Yelp reviews would be more on the positive vs the negative. It's not hard to be kind, say hello, thank you, your welcome--you know the peasantries you are taught growing up. This is not the only McDonalds near this location that I have been had this as the main issue, food is occasionally the issue. Not sure how far this will go or who will see it but it needs to be put out there for hopefully a change in staff or just a new course in customer service. read more

This is by far the worst McDonald's I ever visited. I visited this today after 5 months. Still it's the same worst experience. All the employees locked the doors of the store and chilling inside. Drive through was closed. After honking they responded and took order. The burger was cold and fries were worst. Even They charged extra for dips which I didn't ask for. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY! I'm a glutton for punishment and tried this location again after a looong hiatus. Figured with the renovations maybe things had improved. Pulled up to the drive through at 6:30 am and was told they're only taking cash. I know this is a ploy they use when they're understaffed or being lazy, as they used it extensively in the past and with the renovations there really isn't an excuse. I told them I had cash, and then proceeded to order. Into stereo silence. After waiting a few minutes and saying "hello?" probably 8 times I finally just pulled up. No one was at the first window. I sat there for a minute before the driver of the car at the second window motioned for me to pull up. I waited behind him (took him a good 5 minutes to get his food). Finally ordered my food at the second window with a guy who looked beyond confused about the task. From start to finish, it took over 14 minutes to get food here with 1 person in line ahead of me (who was already waiting on food when I pulled up). I even took a picture of the sign at the drive thru window with the franchise owner's phone number and promises to "make things right" for bad experiences. Figured they might want to know how horrible their restaurant was being run and it was finally time to make a formal complaint. But that's not the kicker. When leaving the restaurant and about to pull onto Miami Blvd I noticed a wide (about 4 feet) pothole in front of me. It was covered in water do I didn't know how deep it was, but I pulled to a stop. Couldn't back up because there were multiple cars behind me (who didn't have cash and had left after hearing that), and was boxed in by the divider and curb next to me. I slowly crept forward, trying to straddle it with my compact car...and bottomed out. So hard that my car horn honked and my phone flew off it's silicone dash holder. Limped my car to work, and called the franchise owner's number, specifically to complain about the service and pothole, and with warnings that it WOULD cause car damage and needed fixing ASAP. I asked for a call back. It's been 3 days, and no return call. Let's not delude ourselves and think that ANY McDonald's location is staffed by caring employees or owners. But this location in particular is leaps and bounds ahead of it's peers in true apathy and malicious negligence. read more

Good for McDonald's I guess. First time having Mickey Ds since childhood. Long drive called for a quick snack. Online I found that their apple pies and hash browns were vegan. Waited for fresh apple pie. Slowest moving staff ever-- there was a long line of people inside waiting for food but looking into the kitchen, I just saw a bunch of people sort of standing around not really doing anything. We're in town this week while my husband works, and my daughter and I go to this location. Tried to order just a bacon and cheese McGriddle, sausage McGriddle a frappe and a half and half sweet tea and could hardly get my order out of my mouth before she would cut me off to ask "anything else." This McDonalds rips off their customers. They advertise a mix and match, buy one, get one for a dollar ($1.00), but when you get your receipt, they charge you regular menu price. When you speak to a manager, they tell you it has to be the same item. They Bait and Switch you all the time at this store. I am constantly amazed at this particular McDonald's. They are downright creative in how to be slow and mess up your order too. They are breaking new ground when it comes to incompetency. They are leaders in breakthrough, out of the box, creative ways to be extremely slow, and messing up your order. If you like terrible service and bad food, this is your place. If I could give less than you star I would. I never thought I would truly regret spending $10. However, in the case of this location, I believe it would be better for me to just take my $10 and throw it in the garbage. He worked the first window, took our order, our money, made our food, and gave us everything at the second window while his co workers didn't help him. Now most people would ask "Why even rate McDonald's". My answer is because while you may not agree on the fare or the business model I have seen some great McDonalds franchises. Run by involved owners and happy staff. This my friends is not one of them. The service here is painfully slow. Pair this with the inability or to deliver hot, crisp french fries makes this McDonald's worth passing up. If you are in the area it would be in your best interest to travel a little further down the road to Burger King. Lunch today was a quarter pounder value meal. Used the self checkout ordering system. The one lady at the cash register kept telling patrons to use self checkout. Seems to work okay as long as the person in front of you knows how to use the touchpad screen, otherwise it's slow. The worst part of my experience was my food was barely warm. I would give this McDonald's zero stars if I could. It says they are open 24/7 but every time I try to go there after work after midnight, they are always telling me, "our systems are down". There was a 1-800 number to call but they don't answer and their mailbox was full. Last night, I tried again and of course, the systems were down. 2 bad experiences in a row. This time I literally stood at the register for over 5 mins before somebody decided to take my order. I assumed somebody was getting change or there was a shift change, but no. The one person who eventually decided to take my order was in training and you can tell he was struggling. Nobody jumped in to help this guy until customers were becoming agitated behind me. Seems to be a major lack in leadership in the mornings. Last experience was when the drive thru was shut down around 6:30am and it was backed up around the building. When I finally called them from my phone to tell them there is a line outside. I was told that there wasn't a manager on site and they were not allowed to take any orders. I suggested they should probably send somebody outside to inform everybody in the drive thru, I was again told they were not allowed to until a manager arrived. I'm sure there was more to it, but the bottom line is they left a lot of people hanging and a lot of us were probably on our way to work. Unacceptable customer service. I don't necessarily blame the employees at all. It's obvious there is a serious management issue. Sad. This store is in a great location but it's probably the 2 worst fast food experiences I've had since moving to NC and both experiences happen to be at the same place. Service is slower than you can imagine. I tried the curbside option and that was equally slow (they never came out, I went in).

I prefer to root for the underdog. With all of the bad publicity that McDonald's already receives, I hate to twist the knife. Unfortunately, this particular location accentuates any shortcomings that the company may have. The dining area, even early in their business hours, looked like the aftermath of a natural disaster. Their beverage station reeked of rotten tea, and was unsanitary on an almost-comical level (there were literally ants encased in the ice cubes... reference the attached photo). However, the pièce de résistance was their horrible customer service. The staff mixed-up the orders of four different sets of customers, ours included, and I'm not just referring to swapping a few trays... different components of each order were added to or subtracted from various customers' meals. We visited with a friend, and the restaurant manager (named Anite) loudly argued with him after being informed that his order was incorrect (even though he produced his receipt as proof). This type of incident is exactly what today's restaurants should avoid. Customer service is paramount to their success, and should therefore be taken seriously. read more

This McDonald's is a relatively new facility but this morning the dining room was filthy. There appeared to be a thin uniform layer of food over every surface in the dining room: chairs, tables, and floors. Some of the seats had water standing in them as if the whole dining room had been just rinsed with a pressure washer and then just left to dry. The big screen televisions seemed to not be working. The TVs actually had messages on them implying that the business had not paid its bill. read more

UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE, I normally don' t have an issue with this location but I guess when it rains it rains hard. I ordered a big breakfast with hotcakes and the hotcakes were missing. I had already driven back to work and had to return to the restaurant. A female manager asked me for my receipt which I didn't have cause it was an online order. I told her I would go get my phone from my car and show her, I also expressed that I had called twice while in route. She proceeded to tell me that their phone was broken. I then showed her the app and she tried to make it seem as if it was my fault stating I did not order a big breakfast with bacon and hotcakes. I looked at my phone and reshowed her that that is exactly what I ordered. She didn't apologized she simply said its fixed now! I expressed to her that I just wanted a gift card I would come back another day because I did not have time to eat now. She quickly cut me off and told me they did not have gift cards I could call the app if I needed my money back. THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORSE. The lack of empathy and customer service was completely unacceptable. The main reason I stop at this location is because it is closer to my job. This is the worst McDonald's ever. The sign reads 24 hours, but they are closed early every night as the employees sit in the lobby. Sometimes they don't even open for breakfast, no note explaining to customers what's going on. Just leaving people who have to go to work in the window of the drive thru. All of the doors are locked during normal business hours for the lobby. The owners don't care about the horrible service that's being provided, they don't get back to anyone. Even when you call and complain. Some of the employees have an attitude. A full remodel and for what, to run all your customers away with horrible service. Waited 10 minutes to place my order with one or two cars in front of me. Place the order for chicken nuggets fries and coffee at 11 p.m. day after Valentine's Day 2020. Get the fries and chicken. After some time And they had completely not even started the coffee. We were in patient. So we asked for a soda instead. She said that was easier for her and she appreciated it. Gave us the drink after another 2 minutes ( as if soda takes anytime). We check in bag. And I had no barbecue sauce as asked and the drink had no straw. Bag over head, no napkins. Terrible experience. We stopped to use the restroom and I figured I would grab a bite to eat. I stand by the register for a solid 5 minutes, while there are a group of employees and who I believe to be manager standing in a circle talking,. until someone finally offers to help me. I ask for an egg and cheese biscuit meal. The girl rings me up, and runs to the restroom before even handing me a cup. She walks out and I ask for my cup. I wait roughly 10 minutes for my meal. I walk out and realize my hash brown is missing so I return back in the get it to which the lady responds "she didn't ring you up for a meal" but still gives me the hash brown. I get in the car and drive off, I open my bag up, only to find they have given me an egg and cheese McMuffin with extra cheese. NOT what I ordered. All of that for the wrong order. Saturday morning, I needed fast food on the way. This location has been declining for some time, but every McDonald's has. Saturday was the end. After dragging ass on the drive thru line, the person taking the money at window 1, short changed me $5 on a $4 tab. Then, she glared at me like it was my fault she couldn't get a better job. At window 2, my bag of food was apparently disassembled while sorting out the mess. After correcting the money and on the road, I discovered an egg McMuffin that I would not eat. It was unlike anything have ever seen. Burnt muffin, a badly over cooked egg, and a smear of "butter" that just didn't look right. Seven hours later, I took it back to the on duty manager. He refunded the money, offered me a free meal and apologized. I didn't want or need McDonald's at that point. I needed it at 8 am. I don't need it anymore. read more

This restaurant does not even deserve a one star rating, but I can give it no lower. I have had multiple bad experiences at this restaurant from very poor service to very poor food and drink. However, a few weeks topped it all. A couple of hours after I went through the drive-through, someone hacked into my app and placed a $16.10 order on my account. After multiple emails and phone calls I had to call my bank because this location as well as McDonald's refused to do anything to correct this or refund my money. D's stores are privately owned so McDonald's expects them to correct the error. They just referred me to a McDonald's customer service line which said the owner should make reparation. So I'm caught in between without my money at a time when my husband is laid off work and money is at a premium. You would think this would not happen at such a large corporation, but believe me I did and I am the loser for now. The girl at the window asked me to pull forward and park until the food is ready. She pointed straight ahead to the parking spot that I went and parked in. So I sit there and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait!! 10 min go by and I was getting kind of irritated so I looked around and saw no one with the food. Waited some more. And then some more. After 20 min had passed, I'm pissed. THE WORST! Stopped in to grab breakfast with no special order (just the regular menu items). Ordered on the kiosk and waited 37 minutes for the order. Was called up after 23 minutes and the order was marked as complete but half the order wasn't there and informed it was still being made (Strawberry Pies). Waited another 9 minutes and approached the counter to inquire and my order had just been sitting. Still waiting were an additional 5-7 customers behind me and a few orders going out before me. Crowd was growing inside as they seemed to prioritize drive through orders over in-store. Manager on duty didn't seem to care of the back up and the woman handling in store seemed to be lost/confused about what was happening so she was no help. Ok, back to my order, after inquiring and getting new (HOT) sandwiches I was handed my order and it's still missing the pies. I alert the manager and he has a quick chat with the person who's taking orders and she said she didn't know. He remarks to her that my order has been waiting. BTW, I haven't raised my voice at all. Just continued to be patient and do what they ask. He checked my order on their system and it did say there were pies. He proceeds to toss two pies in the bag and hand it to me. As I getting out the door I decide to check and sadly, the order is still wrong. I went back in and just said that it would be easier to refund me for the pies since this seems to be a problem and the store was getting even more backed up. He gave me the glare of disapproval, opened the register, and handed me $2.00. Yes, I know the cost to be refunded was $2.19+tax but I had enough of them and they had enough of me. So I will "eat" the $.25 they owe me and call it a learning experience. So what did I learn that you can learn from also? Avoid this location as if your life depends on. Within 100ft there's 4 other places serving breakfast for what is about the same price that have far superior service. I should have objected when my wife said stop here, but I now know for the future. Oh, by the way, when I got home with my order, IT WAS STILL WRONG- but at least it was hot ;-). read more

I do not know how I was named the Duke of this place, and I am not sure its a good title to have at a fast food joint. lol However, I have to give credit, where credit is due. I stop in to this place every so now and then and grab breakfast when I am running behind. You really can't go wrong with McDonalds. From their bacon egg and cheese, to their hot cakes, and their hash browns, my fat boy salivation mechanism are on overdrive. If you need a good morning start, check this place out. The service is "McDonalds like", and the food fits the franchise. All I can say to this is, stay skinny my friends!! lol read more
