Oct 2024- prices are cheaper here

14896 Highway 4 Discovery Bay, CA 94514 This is the McDonald's Restaurant at the Sandy Cove Shopping Center in Discovery Bay, CA. It has a prime location right along Highway 4. It has a modern appearance, and a double menu board drive-thru. It also has outdoor seating, and plenty of parking. It was Wednesday night, around 9:45pm. Fairly clear night, with temps in the 70's. I decided to grab a Big mac and Small fries in the drive-thru before the drive home. When she displayed the prices on the menu board, I noticed something interesting. I had to do a bit of research, but I was right....the prices are slightly cheaper at this location. Big Mac $5.89 Sm Fries $2.89 Service was very quick, friendly and prompt. How was the food? - Fries were hot and crispy. Lightly salted. - The Big Mac was nicely assembled. Plenty of Big Mac sauce. Not enough onions. Just doesn't taste the same as the old Big Macs. Overall good experience, I would return.

So to be fair we typically use this particular McD's to grab a cold drink between u-pick farms. It has been clean the 4 times we have been in and the service was fine. We did not experience the customer service issues many have outlines in reviews

This burger looks like it survived a house fire and then got run over by a truck. The patty was so burnt, I thought McDonald's started selling charcoal briquettes. The cheese? Melted like it was holding on for dear life, and those sad little pickles were just... existing. Honestly, if this is "fast food," then they need to slow down and try again. I don't see how they thought it was OK to serve that..

I rarely eat fast food, but when I do, I at least expect to get what I ordered. We specifically asked for extra onions on our cheeseburgers, and what we received had little to none. It's disappointing when such a simple request isn't followed through. It feels like we live in a time where pride in work and customer service is fading, and experiences like this really show it.

I do not recommend this location. Some of their ingredients are not fresh. I ordered a Big Mac and some of the lettuce was brown and slimy. The fries and coke were ok.

With two little kids that love McDonalds, we go to a lot of different McDonald's. This one is by far the worst. Orders always wrong, miserable workers, sticky gross floors, no lids for cups out, no cups for ketchup and I could go on. Worst part when you ask a worker for something they act like you are bothering them. Ronald McDonald needs to straighten this place out!

Has two drive-thru slots. I've never really had bad customer service here. Only one problem: corporate canceled the Reese's McFlurry. :(

I have to second some of the reviews. I am not that impressed by Discovery Bay, but the Marina Bar…read more& Grill is worth the trek. Good eats, great view, and our server Sam was beyond outstanding. The restaurant is right on the water, like the name says, it is right on the Marina. Plenty of parking and easy to find. We were here the day after Christmas and they went all out with their Christmas - Grinch decor. Love that! There was lots of seating and a full of bar of patrons. Drinks must be good, and they were! I got the spicy Bloody Mary and it hit the spot. Solid mixture and spices were just right. I had two, cause I'm into holiday spirits! I went with a friend for a catch up session so we sat outside so not to disturb the rest of the patrons. Sam was awesome. She didn't forget about us, even though it probably took a half hour before we put our order in. She made sure to ask if we wanted the heater or fire place since it was a cloudy day. We ordered the crab wings, brisket nachos, and lobster ravioli. The crab wings are 2 or 3 soft shelled crabs in half and they were fried to perfection. Crispy but super juicy and tender. I shouldn't have done it, but they were so good, I saved some for the BF so he could taste them. The diavolo sauce for the ravioli was wow! I finished the whole thing and sopped up all the sauce with the crusty garlic bread. Nothing was left. My friend doesn't eat seafood, but finished those brisket nachos. If you're headed out to the Delta for the day or some fishing, make a stop and try their offerings. I wanted to taste everything on the menu. Get a Bloody Mary, and take in the view. And ask for Sam! She's an absolute gem!

Well- I'm just done. I love to support local business, but if you have zero clue on customer…read moreservice you don't deserve my money and you really don't deserve to be in business. I was aware of the recent closure due to sanitation issues, and I get that things happen- they closed down to address the issues and I respect that. Here is my problem- I was the only customer sitting at the bar, no other customers in the bar area- and only 2 other customers in the restaurant. There was either an owner or a manager sitting at the bar on his laptop. A young lady came on duty to take over the bar and helped me initially. This young lady clearly hasn't been trained or trained well. As my beer was almost gone, she didn't notice and didn't ask if I wanted me another. After I finished my beer, she was walked back and forth from the bar to wherever about 7 times- it once checking - so I moved my empty glass to the edge of the bar so she could notice. Nada. I was done. Here's the thing- I was the ONLY customer in the bar/bar area and she couldn't notice if I needed another beer? Here's the bigger issue- the manager/owner sitting next to me had zero clue or didn't care. I blame the owner/manager. I don't want to hear anything about 'give us another chance'- you clearly don't know how to run a restaurant.

I don't come out to Discovery Bay too much anymore, but I stopped by for some gas and snacks on a Monday evening. Michael's Market is like a convenience store (c-store), but it's loaded with beer, wine and tobacco items. It has a fountain area and wide variety of snacks and candy. For awhile it was the only neighborhood shop around. But now the Discovery Bay shopping center is right next door. Yes, I saw the Confederate flag. But the clerk was friendly and helpful. I was wearing my work uniform w/ ID. People with jobs usually have money to spend. Michael's Market is a well stocked c-store that can save you a trip down the road to the Safeway shopping center. Shell gas prices were about average for the SF Bay Area. Located on the corner of Discovery Bay Blvd & Riverlake Rd.

I have come by a few times in the past 2 months and have never even been greeted with a "hello" at the counter. Did they all get a frontal lobotomy? Or are they just that afraid of women? If I were Michael I would find anyone with any personality immediately instead of letting these rejects be the "welcoming" face of your store. They make me feel like a complete burden at best. Gross customer service. I would rather talk to my wall.
