I'm mostly a solo rider, sometimes riding with a small group of friends, and occasionally joining a larger group. Today, I joined the 4th Annual Gut Check Ride, hosted by the Call of Liberty MC in support of the nonprofit United We March. 25 bikes participated! The ride followed the Delta Loop -- Gunnison, Nephi, Delta, Scipio, and back to Gunnison. For me, it was 210 miles of riding! The ride was well planned, well executed, and safe. From what I could tell, everyone had a great time! A big THANK YOU to Paul Harnett and Call of Liberty MC for allowing me to participate. I'm glad I got to be part of it! And, of course... let's not forget LUNCH! ASHTON BURGER BARN & BUTCHER SHOP -- DELTA Great burgers, fries, ice cream, AND a butcher shop! My choice: Cheeseburger -- lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle and cheese. Just the right amount of toppings! Fries -- homestyle, just the way I like them! LEE'S LOCAL VERDICT: Great food. A fun place to stop for lunch. And they easily handled the sudden rush of 25+ hungry bikers! Worth the ride? ABSOLUTELY! If you're in Delta, stop by Ashton Burger Barn & Butcher Shop. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries as I had also ordered the loaded Pastrami fries which came with cheese, pickles and mustard on top. It was a bit too rich and heavy for my taste and the flavors didn't really work well together. Maybe without the mustard I would have liked it more.
