For a McDonald's this one is not bad, but not the best. The Drive thou speed of service is usually pretty good. The speed of service inside...hit or miss. They're usually pretty good at cleaning. And the accuracy of the orders are 9 of 10 times pretty accurate. The quality of the food, for McDonald's it's ok. read more

Was just here not even 35 minutes ago had a online order through the app ..when I got to the window they gave me my dranks but didn't come back to the window for another 25 minutes it's like they didn't even make the order . If I could give it no stars, I definitely would. This place stinks like nothing else, and there are flies in the bathroom. They got my order wrong, and proceeded to tell me it was my fault. This McDonald's is getting worse every day. It's like the night shift workers don't know how to do their job or they just choose not to. How hard is it to make a plain hamburger? They even have it on the screen in the drive thru & at the end read it back to you. And the hamburger ends up having everything you could possibly put on it. Only thing my bf orders every time we come, usually we have no issues. And also ordering the new chicken sandwich. That chicken isn't the same as the McChicken $1 chicken sandwich has on it. I get that sandwich everyday, never any issues. Tonight, they literally gave me that chicken sandwich (the combo) and they just gave me a mcchicken with pickles on it. But put it in the little bag that the new sandwich comes in... like that wouldn't be noticeable. Also, one night the fries... were cold. I'm talking cold like they had been in a fridge cold.. not just left out for awhile or gave us old fries. Cold. I even got 4 other people to touch/taste them and they also said they felt like they had been refrigerated. How does that happen?!? And that was just one order of fries. The other order in the same bag was normal temperature. The cold ones didn't even have color to them, they were like white. I really have no idea what that is about. This has happened 4 times all around 8pm/9pm in the past week. I'm not one to complain because I have worked in many restaurants before & i was a server for 9 years. And I would understand if it was busy. But every night that this has happened, it isn't busy, there's no wait, or we've been the only car in the drive thru. But since I'm already on here, I'm gonna go ahead and talk about the one night last week. Again. Same order as always (the one above). But there was only maybe 3 cars in the drive thru? But it wasn't busy like no cars in the lot, we were told to pull up to the number 2 spot to wait, beside us was the person who was infront of us (in the first spot). After 15 minutes of waiting (again not sure why it took THAT LONG because there was no cars in the drive thru and none in the lot so we were like what's going on) the guy came out and gave us a bag with happy meals and gave the van our bag which we saw them open and put their hands in & the woman said this isn't ours and he grabbed it and came to our vehicle and said I gave you the wrong one and switched them. And kept walking while I was trying to say umm can we get new food they touched this? He just kept walking. Didn't care at all. Posting photos of the MCCHICKEN PATTY they gave me as if it comes close to looking like or tasting like the new chicken sandwich. And not pictured is the hamburger (because he was so pissed he threw it in the trash immediately because he can't eat that stuff! People literally can't eat certain things, some people are allergic to certain things!!) He asked for a PLAIN hamburger. They gave him one with cheese, pickles, ketchup, onions, mustard, etc on it. Literally alllll you can put on it. When they read it back they said plain and the receipt said plain. How can you still mess that up?? People at fast food restaurants want $15/hr starting out but they can't even read a screen & give the food correctly. Ordering something plain makes the job easier, that means they literally don't have to put all that stuff on it. And we live too far to even waste the gas to go back to have it "fixed" which one time we took it back, they locked the inside doors on us after they ignored us in the drive thru. They ignored us in the drive thru first so we drove around & parked to go inside and an employee walked over and locked the door as we were walking over to it. And it wasn't even 9:30. So after that, no it isn't worth the time & had to go back because that happened the one time we went to get it fixed. I know plenty of people who work at that McDonald's. And I know they do a good job. But idk if there's new people working nights and they weren't trained or they just don't care at all. But they literally don't care. I will go all the way to low moor for McDonald's before going to Covington's again after this has happened THIS MANY TIMES in a week. Just one week. I would actually go to West Virginia McDonald's before Covington's at night because the service is so poor lately. Even the customer service- the way they speak to you has been awful. Like if you hate your job that bad, quit. No one is forcing you to work there. The customers aren't making you work there so why treat them so bad. It's one thing if ONE person at a workplace is in a bad mood but every single one? The person taking the order in the drive thru, the person taking the money at the first window, the 2 people giving the food at the second window. ALL OF THEM?! My kids love this place (Of course, It's McDonald's). Lol. My fiancé and I have had multiple bad experiences with our food there, however. This past Sunday my burger was almost raw in the middle. Our buns were so stale they were falling apart as well. It isn't very well maintained on the inside as far as cleanliness either. Some of the staff is very pleasant. Some behave like they hate people and their job. After I told my fiancé to please not complain about our food (and he did anyway), because it seems like the more we complain, the worse of an experience we have there the next time. So he has officially said we will only be going to the McDonald's in Roanoke or Lexington. It is safe to say it is sad when customers do not care about spending 30$ in gas in order to get their child a happy meal, just so they don't have to have such a horrid experience at the same restaurant that is right down the road. read more

Apparently they built a new McDonalds there. Honestly it seemed way to classy now for the area it is in. Clean tables, friendly atmosphere (hopefully they fired all the "i hate my job people") Was very impressed may even start eating there again when in the area. read more
