I love the ambiance of this place. The inside feels warm and cozy with lots of wood accents, and all the color large screen tvs gives it a festive look. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, you can enjoy views stretching from the historic City Market Building in downtown Roanoke to Center in the Square. With a reservation for three, two of us arrived on time, and the third joined us at our table shortly after. My favorite server, Damita, was assigned to our table. It was nice to see her again, always so cheerful and eager to make our dining experience pleasant and memorable. She warmly greeted us and pointed out the 2026 Virginia Blue Ridge Restaurant Week Menu. She then took our order. To drink my friends had a Liquid Death (don't worry, it was non-alcoholic), and a Lemonade. I had a N/A Mockjito (my favorite there). To dine we had a Calypso Sandwich and two Chop House Burgers from their reasantly introduced Fall menu. Once again the bartender outdid himself crafting a masterpiece of a Mockjito. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place with its amazing drinks and food. When I dine with friends I don't take as many photos to give them all of my attention, but feel free to view all of the photographs posted (most of them mine, from the very first day I dined there). We had a great time catching up on life over a delicious meal. Even the fries with my burger were exceptional. Our server did an excellent job checking on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, and kept our water glasses filled throughout the evening. After having finished, I asked for the bill and paid it with one of my credit cards using my Google Pay. We thanked our server for an extraordinary dining experience, said goodbye, and promised to meet again next time, when one of my friends will treat us at another restaurant.

The table looked like it was dirty, but that was because the epoxy was all chipped. Waitress was fairly prompt, no personality, and didn't know what beers they had. A trip to the bar. When she returned we placed our order- ramen salad for the wife, I had the fish fry. Food was out before we blinked, and before our drinks! My beer was brought out but my wife's water was forgotten- another trip to the bar. A singular 'sorry' and the waitress was gone. Salad was nice, nothing special. Not big or small, but really nothing to recommend it. The fish fry was two filets- one dark brown and one golden brown, no real taste. Not offensive. Sweet potato fries (extra charge) were covered in sugar, but crisp and tasty. Small cup of Cole slaw was tasty. Waitress was not seen again until she brought us the bill- no offer of coffee or dessert. Not a bad experience but not enough to make me come back. What I expected from a big-box downtown Roanoke restaurant. Glad I didn't get the $48 filet!! Not really recommended.

Until that one day that you decided to stop, and explore a whole new culinary world. After having been selected as number 4 of the Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at the Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Coach & Four Restaurant, in Roanoke Virginia is a perfect example. At first it was just a large colonial house turned restaurant on Williamson Road in Roanoke, Virginia. But once I decided to stop and explore it, it has become one of my favorite restaurants in Roanoke, Virginia. Its uniqueness lies not only in its colonial atmosphere and in its classic American cuisine, but primarily in its amazing staff that from the time you walk in begin to make your fine-dining experience one that you'll always remember and cherish dearly. Their refined behavior creates a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that create unforgettable dining experiences. Today, after having gone through one of the worst snow and ice storms in years, I decided to not allow the icy roads to hold me back, and requested a Lyft to take me there for dinner. As soon as I arrived, the friendly host came out to greet me and take me to a table of my choice. My server from the first time I dined there, happened to recognize me and took me to the booth where I had dined the first time I ever dined there. We discussed a Mocktail for me to drink and she came back with an amazing drink, and a small meatball as an "amuse-bouche," designed to prepare ones palate for the meal. After studying the restaurant's extensive menu, I ordered their Bacon Wrapped Scallops as appetizer. For my main entrée I ordered the Prime Rib Combination that consisted of a generous portion of roasted prime rib served with a delicious lobster tail. For the two sides that came with my main entree, I had their famous tossed salad with their in-house made blue cheese dressing and a loaded baked potato. The scallops were not so big in size but big in flavor and texture. The salad was amazing, as always. The main entrée looked well at first, but when I cut into the prime rib it was too well done to be able to appreciate the flavor of the meat. But my server came by, as promised, to see if the prime rib was cooked to my satisfaction, and when I told her it was too well done for my original request of medium-rare, she gracefully apologized and took it back. Returning shortly with another piece of prime rib more to my liking. For dessert I had a slice of Pecan Pie a la mode, which by the way was amazingly delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for one of the best fine-dining experiences of your life. And am looking forward to returning and ordering ahead of time their Baked Alaska to have for dessert.

By doing so I was able to confirm firsthand my suspicion of my amazing finding and wanted to share with the readers of my review so that they too are able to enjoy this golden needle in the haystack never explored, yet in their back yard. But before I begin, I would like to thank and give tribute to the business partners who came up with idea of this place and never allowed their life circumstances get in the way of making their dream come true for all of us, the community, to be able to share and enjoy. Twisted Track Brewpub is more than just a full-service brewery and kitchen, serving upscale food and beverages in a cool and relaxed environment. It is the perfect meeting place and entertainment venue for families and friends to meet and share quality time with each other in a safe and amusing place. First of all I was very impressed by the beautiful, open space architectural design of the building's interior as well as its exterior front seating area patio. They are welcoming and make you feel at home. When you arrive and walk inside you are immediately captivated by the place with tables and chairs all over, and a ramp and stairs that lead to a counter high above where orders are taken and paid for after you've had an opportunity to examine the menus which have been placed on every table. There "just the right size" and quality food selection menu made me want to enjoy all items listed. Especially accompanying them with a side of their very unique and amazing fat curly fries, which they call "Twisted Fries." At the counter, and extremely welcoming and friendly young lady greeted me with a smile and explained the variety of drinking items available, including very creative non-alcoholic drinks, such as the Collective Art Guava Go, which I ended up having. After ordered this and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with an order of Twisted Fries, I paid and was given my drink and a beeper to notify me when my order was ready and to go pick it up at the order pickup counter. After I sat down at a table of my choosing facing a small stage on the left side of the building, the beeper beeped and I went to pick up my order. Again the staff their were very friendly and nice. They even allowed me to photograph other menu items that were waiting on the counter for my readers to be able to view and admire. Then as I enjoyed the food that was amazingly delicious, including those amazing Twisted Fries, I looked around and the clientele seemed to be just normal and clean folks enjoying a good time. There was a group of what looked like business associates at one of the large tables. A family at another table, where the father was playing UNO with his son, using gigantic size cards. A couple at another table and so on. Many seemed like repeat customers. Since it was a Friday evening. Friday, January 17th to be more precise. It was Live Music Night and William Seymour, a musician and recording artist from Noth Carolina was scheduled to perform. He practiced on the stage for a while. Them came down and handed out his very creative square business cards with a QR code to be able to pay for TIPS and merchandise with venmo. He then went up the stage and sang and played his guitar. To conclude all I can say is: What an extraordinary dining and entertaining experience this has been. I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable evening with family and friends, and am honored to be the one who has been able to make you aware of this gem of a place.

Super friendly staff, we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. I always worry when I see a varied menu. This one has typical Italian and American fare. Burgers, pizza, Italian entrees, hot dogs, salads, etc. It makes you wonder if any are done well. Surprise! They all are. The kid got a double cheeseburger, Hubby had a chicken "steak" sandwich, I had baked ziti and we took a pizza home for dinner later. Now that's varied. The kid's burger, while cooked with no pink, was super juicy and cheesy. It came with a ton of fries (he got his loaded). Hubby's sandwich was loaded with chicken - he was a big fan. The fries were cooked beautifully. My ziti came piping hot (it was still bubbling) and was oh so good. A think layer of gooey cheese blanketed perfectly cooked pasta, with a nice sauce. I would have liked to have seen a touch more ricotta. My side salad was super fresh, though it only had iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers, but that was fine - it was fresh and the balsamic vinaigrette was tasty. The garlic bread was a nice surprise. Usually you don't expect much from a side of garlic bread, but this was really good - garlic flavor and a nice amount of spices. The pizza we took home for dinner heated up very well. The crust was crisp and there was a decent amount of extra cheese. Very tasty. When we're in the area again, this will be a must stop. Who knew a little place with such a varied menu could do them all well?
