I ordered through the app. I assume that when you order through the app you'll get exactly what you're asking for because no one can enter it wrong by mistake . That doesn't seem like a strange assumption. Last week I ordered a double hamburger and a regular hamburger along with fries and a Coca-Cola. I got a double cheeseburger and a cheeseburger. I can't eat, and I won't eat a cheeseburger. That's why I ordered a hamburger. I threw both of them away. I got a receipt and of course you can't reply to the email that asks you how things are. So I just blew it off and said whatever coming it's just a bad day. This McDonald's happens to be particularly understaffed, so I'm sure they're under a lot of stress trying too fulfill orders. I was pissed that I had to throw my lunch away, and I was hungry, but whatever. I made the same exact order today. Assuming they can't possibly screw it up a second time. Guess what?? Apparently this McDonald's doesn't understand the difference between a cheeseburger and a hamburger. So I'm throwing my second lunch in a row away in 2 weeks. Let me help you understand, improperly trained McDonald's people: a hamburger does not contain gross yellow cheese. It's just a hamburger. A cheeseburger contains gross yellow cheese. People that order hamburgers don't want cheeseburgers. Hopefully this training is helpful to you. I think I remember in the old days that they used to wrap hamburgers in the white wrapper and cheeseburgers in the yellow wrapper to avoid this. I don't know if this particular location is cheaping out and not paying for both, or if this was some kind of decision made by corporate, but that might be contributing to the problem, because in all cases they were wrapped in the white paper. Either people are stupid or somebody isn't paying for two different kinds so that they can differentiate. In either case, it sucks throwing your lunch away twice. Someone else will have to determine whether or not this professional development was successful because I would be ordering anything from this McDonald's again. After a long car trip my fiance & I decided to pull in to eat at this Coventry McDonald's (and also use the restroom after our long car trip). When we got there, the manager rudely and disrespectfully threw all patrons out of the lobby and locked the door....so after being so disrespected like that, my fiance & I went back a little up the road to the Burger King, where we treated with respect and their lobby and restrooms were open to the public...and they got our business (and our money). I went to this McDonalds tonight 5/18/25 at 8:20 pm. I placed my drive thru order and got to the window to pay and receive my order, and mentioned that I was also picking up my daughter's mobile order. The woman in the window screamed at me and told me it was too bad and I wasn't getting it. I said I was sorry I forgot to mention my daughter's code at the speaker. My daughter had prepaid for it and she slammed the window and told me "Too bad, have a nice night! " in the rudest yelling voice. I asked what her name was and she told me that she couldn't tell me, but she was the floor manager!!!! I parked my car and went inside to get my daughter's order and a woman at counter told me my order was a mobile order and WALKED away from me leaving me at the counter!! The floor manager was mimicking me and making fun of me not knowing I was inside. The place was FILTHY!!!! After atleast 5 minutes two men did help me and were courteous to me. I go to this location atleast 4 times a week and will NOT be returning. I finally got home so upset the way this FLOOR MANAGER talked to me. I am a store manager myself and would never dream of speaking to someone in that manner! My whole order was wrong also. My Coke was a root beer, my burger with pickles was a plain burger, the ketchup and sweet and sour sauce I asked for was not there! AWFUL ATTITUDE for a FLOOR MANAGER! This woman should be fired ASAP! She can't run a place to save her life! I will drive to the New London Turnpike location from now on! I grew up in Coventry. Been a customer on and off for 40 of my 52yrs on the planet. So I think that gives me a bit of mileage and experience in life. I'd like to be very clear...The employees here are very polite and helpful! The turn off here involves the customers. Breakfast and lunch here consists of at least a dozen senior citizens. They sit in groups of 3-5 talking about local and national gossip. The problem I have....their language. There's usually a couple that feel the need to share F-bombs like punctuation marks. And in the case today... The "N" word. Or how big he thinks his wrinkled old pecker is. I'm no prude by no means, nor do I have a angelic vocabulary, but I've sat and listened to them rant worse than at the local bar. That's irritating enough while trying to enjoy a bite, but when they can't filter in front of a lady, or especially a child, I draw the line. I've been in situations where someone at another table talked like that with my kids nearby. And I've sailed into them. Most parents are usually intimidated by these crowds, not wanting to disrespect an elder. But these "elders" were thought to have been from a generation of respect and manners. This is far from the case... And not just this location. I've chewed out idiots like this on my fair share of occasions, and quite frankly.. It's tiresome now. To a teenager, swearing is a way of trying to feel "grown up" or cool. If you've been raised correctly, you'll outgrow it at some point. The issue isn't solely about language... It's about respect. Respect for little ones Respect for a lady Respect for the business owner and employees earning a living. And "maybe" a bit of respect for yourself. I ordered a Bacon Deluxe Quarter, NO Mustard, NO pickle. And when I got home to eat it, it was just a Bacon Quarter without the mustard or pickles. However, a Deluxe gets mayo, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes, and my friggen reciept says Deluxe. So, like I do like the regular Bacon Quarter, that's ok. I actually love this location. I have come through here about once a week now that I have found it, and I never have a problem at all. The manager is as nice as can be, and the staff do a really kick ass job at keeping up during rushes. My food is always fresh, my fries are always piping hot, and I've not had any bad experiences here. The store has always been clean, and the ice cream machine has not been broken when I have ordered. I liked it better before they changed to the new modern style building...it just looked better the old way. Anyway, I remember the service being alot better back in the day then it is now. The staff is always rude and the lines get long. The quality is still decent though so thats a plus. It took me 20 minutes to get my food and I was inside the building. Ordered a coolata and associate was giving me a shake but said the machine was broken. While telling another worker they didn't want to put ice cream in it. One worker dropped 2 egg mcmuffins on the floor. And when they told the person cooking she needed my order she was told we just had to get over it and it will be done when its done. I took the survey and asked for a manager to contact me and that never happened. Will never go there again and I have told everyone I know about the experience. read more
