After 12+ hours of travel we came here for a quick dinner before heading to bed. The lobby was closed so we had to do the drive thru. It was extremely slow, at least 20 minutes and we were the only people in line. The employees could be heard arguing with each other at the window. But, they were friendly to us. We did get a chuckle about the sign they had on the ice cream machine. I will say, their sign must serve them as a good reminder because the ice cream machine was operating when we were there. I normally do not eat fast food. This is going to be one of two reviews that I do, which happen to be coincidence. I went through the drive-through with a friend he wanted a crispy strip meal, which I ordered with Sprite plus a double cheeseburger and a four piece nugget. We drove to the window and I paid. I saw the amount seem kind of low, but we proceeded to the next window. He handed us the bag close the door and then disappeared. We had to pull to the special window since they are cooked to order after he closed the window, I realized he didn't give us the drink and then my friend said there's no fry's. I checked the receipt and there wasn't a meal listed just crispy strips so since no one ever came back to the window, I parked the car and I went inside. I said to the lady at the register we ordered a crispy strip meal, but we only got the strips. She went in the back and out came the manager. I told her exactly the same thing her response was " I should have asked for a medium"! My response was isn't that your job and with that she said thank you have a nice day and walked away. read more

This is very likely the WORST McDonalds in upstate NY. As I have reviewed on several other sites over the years. If the food isn't cold or order faulty or a total rip off then they probably feel they did something wrong. I honestly cannot remember the last time we got a large fry that would even fill a small fry bag. I'll attach a photo for a typical result from this location. Look at google reviews for a dismal rating if you don't believe Yelp. The fact the corporate office hasn't taken control of this thieving dump is shocking. read more

Went here twice -- both times they messed up my order. Gave them a second chance thinking maybe the first was just a fluke, but nope. They forgot an entire kids meal the second time. Avoid this place. It's disgusting. Very unclean on so many levels (floor had lots of food stains and crumbs; tables hadn't been cleaned and had food bits and pools of liquid). After sitting for an hour doing some work on my laptop in the dining room, I never saw any employees cleaning any of the tables (definitely needs cleaning) or looking at the bathroom or sweeping. They also gave me stale fries. When I asked for fresh fries, they just dumped my stale fries into the fryer for a minute. I could tell the difference between fresh fries; stale fries; and recycled fries. Shame on you guys. This place is gross in any multiverse. read more

They take there sweet time to take your order then it takes them another like 15 minutes to get up to the window. And then when you finally get to the window they ignore you for 5 minutes, then takes them another 10 minutes to bring you your food. DO NOT go here unless you have time to waste. read more

The worst customer service at any restaurant let alone a McDonalds I have ever been too! My family and I are in town for the Cooperstown Dreampark Tournament, my 3 year old daughter wanted chicken nuggets from McDonalds so we got in line 20min before closing after our game. The line didn't move for the first 10min. I could literally see 3 workers looking out the window at the line of cars for several minutes doing nothing but talking to each other in a circle at the cash register and there were no customers inside. My guess is they were probably talking about how they wanted to go home and didn't want to try to hurry to serve everyone in line. We got to the place where you make an order at 10:58 and no one asked what we wanted to order. At 11:00 a girl talked through the microphone and said I'm sorry we're closed and refused to take our order. An older sounding lady I'm guessing the manager then started talking through the microphone in a very loud and rude tone saying "you weren't here in time, we close at 11:00, and we have no more food to serve you". We ate there the first night we got in town and the fries were cold, we were gonna give them another chance but after tonight we definitely won't go there again. First of all, the entrance, exit set up is insane. When you do go in thru the parking lot, instead of Rt. 28 like so many do, you have to manipulate your car to get to the drive thru. What ....the....heck? I almost never eat fast food but when I get my thrice yearly craving for a Big Mac, I expect it to be hot or nearly hot. Not lukewarm. There were about 3 guests in front of me when I heard the cashier tell the next customer that she could not take any orders for 5 minutes. Everyone in line just stood there, not being served. A few minutes later, another worker from the back yelled up to the cashier that they just got a phone order of about 30 hamburgers and not to take any orders for a while. Everyone in line left, upset that their physical presence in the store was not the priority. This store needs a policy on the size of phone orders it will take, the number of workers scheduled to work during the 10 weeks Cooperstown Dreams Park brings 104+ baseball teams and families to the area playing baseball literally all day. This is the closest fast food restaurant to the field and this restaurant will lose out on serious $$ if word travels about their inability to handle serving customers. read more

Wish there was a 0 rating as does not deserve a 1 rating. This is one of the worst Macdonalds I have been through. Took my order and was told to go to first window. No one there but there was a sign saying next window. Went to next window NO one there so went up third window as I saw someone getting their order at that one. Saw no one there and waited. The very rude employee 's name was Megan which Jennifer gave me as I had to leave. The manager Jennifer yelled out to me as I was leaving they have security cameras which I hope they look at to see what happened to me. I will never be back to this Mac Donald's. I really do not know if your employees get proper training but Megan definitely needs customer service training.
