I'm a recovering Mcdonald's addict and I like this location! The service is always fast and friendly. The food is hot and the large diet coke hits every single time. My order is usually a cheeseburger or McDouble and a diet coke. Occasionally I will get a McChicken but I like the burgers better. Located on the edge of the Arboretum, it is easy to get in and out of the parking lot. Nothing bad to say about this location! read more

McDonald's - Cheeseburger - Fast Food Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

For a McDonald's, this place does a solid job. The tables tend to be cleaned regularly it's manageable to get in and out of and the drive through operates quickly. I pop in for free cheeseburgers when I have earned them on my app and grab the occasional happy meal for the kiddos too. Given the location and Arboretum security, it's rare to see panhandlers using this place as a second home, so that's nice. read more

Subpar location of McDonald's. The 1.5 star average rating is about right. My lunchtime Big Mac and fries today must have been sitting there for 20-30 minutes before I ordered at 12:15pm. I have eaten at McDonald's locations all over the country during the past 40 years and this one may be the most mediocre one ever. It is a management failure. read more

I eat one McRib a year and today was the day! I ordered thru the app on a Tuesday at noon. My food was prepared pretty quickly and I dined in the restaurant. The restaurant was clean, even the bathrooms. The food was fine/ok. I requested extra pickles on my McRib but it didn't look to me like I got extra? I would have also liked more bbq sauce. It wasn't terrible but it could have been a little better. read more

Awesome customer service . Super fast service and accurate. The people are always friendly and Tasha. The day manager is so friendly always.

After dropping my daughter off at the babysitters, I stopped by this location since my place of work is also across the street from this place. No line at the drive-thru, and the staff taking my order was loud and clear when asking questions. I ordered a combo of one egg McMuffin with a hash brown and a small coffee. I was told window #2 and forward I went. A car was getting their food as I reached the window. The rest of the transaction was smooth and quick. To my surprise everything was well put together, except a little more work with the placement of cheese on a sandwich. The cheese was all over the outside of the egg McMuffin and stuck to the wrapper. I must say though that everything was hot and fresh including the coffee. It was actually filled past the suggested serving line on the inside of their cups. The only other comment is that I did not get a receipt. I did not notice because I was handed everything all at once and I wanted the line to keep moving. read more

Wow. How bad can McDonalds get? This craphole might set the record. The food is awful. Old, stiff, salty and flavorless. Even the fries, which are McDonald's strength, are usually cold and greasy. Burgers are stiff and cold. Its like they can't use the burgers they cooked today until they finish up using burgers from last week. Drinks are usually weak. I've actually gotten Sprite with no syrup at all. Worst of all is the poor/slow service. Nobody there seems to care, especially the managers. I spent almost 15 mins in the drive thru just trying to pick up supper. I eventually got my order and left but had to return shortly after as they had screwed up the order. I went in and tried to explain the error to someone who didn't care and could not understand. They finally got Diana to come over. She seemed to be a shift leader or manager or something and I don't think she understood or cared either. She was unpleasant to deal with and ugly to me and to her staff. They had left out part of my order. It's bad enough that this crap is so expensive and that the service is so slow. But when they can't even get the order together it doesn't make sense. Diana or Danica or whatever wanted to see my receipt. She acted like I was trying to get free food or something. But eventually she got it that I had paid for stuff that never made it into the bag. Then came the part about no onions on 2 of the burgers that they totally blew. The burgers came with stickers on them that said "no onions" but they had onions anyway. Diana or whoever tried to argue that there was no onions on the burgers but you could see them and smell them. She made a comment about just scraping them off--she does not understand food allergies and that you cannot just "scrape it off". She finally yelled at someone to make new burgers without onions. It took another 15 mins or more to get my order completed. Nobody seemed to care aside from trying to make sure I wasn't getting free food. Nobody apologized. Nobody hurried. I guess for $15 per hour (or whatever) you can't expect people to bother to do their jobs. read more

I ordered two items. Small French fries and a small Diet Coke. How hard is it to fulfill such a simple order? Well the fries were soggy and I was given regular Coke. What is happening to McD's? They're all marginal now. And I would say my diet drink order is wrong 70% of the time. Nah, I'm done with the whole franchise. This was the last "straw." read more

I ordered a big breakfast with hotcakes and the hotcakes were inedible. They were so tough, I could not cut them with a knife. They were stuck together as if they had freezer burn. I had asked for Honey for my biscuit and they said it was in the bag. Nope not there. Asked for sauce for my husband's burritos and they only put one in the bag. I will attempt to get my money back, the girl said I could but not sure Hubby said that the night crew is a party crew and that they don't really care. He said the morning crew was better. read more

McDonald's - Fast Food Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Normally very good service, just had a subpar experience today. My Sausage Egg McMuffin was served to me missing half of the muffin. When I returned to the counter to rectify, the gentleman took it from me, opened it up to show another person, then handed it to the cook in the back, who placed a top on it, rewrapped it in the same wrapper, gave it to the gentleman who then tried to hand it to me. Normally whenever I had an issue with a food item, the staff will either refuse to take it back or take it and throw it out, then hand me a fresh item as a replacement. Since I was given back my item after the staff who opened it without food handling gloves, I asked for a fresh one. He looked at me quizzically as if he didn't understand why I was asking for a fresh one, so I asked to speak with the manager. I did eventually get a fresh one but seriously, staff that handle money should not be handling food without first washing/wearing gloves. read more

McDonald's - 45 minute wait at this dump - Fast Food Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

This place has to be the worst managed McDonald's in the history of fast food. 20 plus minutes right now in the drive thru. Writing this review as I wait. Can't describe my dissatisfaction. And the bar was set low when I decided for McDonald's as my dinner. Well that was at 20 mins. At 25 mins I was asked to pull to the side and wait more. Miss on the right apparently had a bit of an attitude when I explained that after 25 minutes I either needed my food or a refund. If McDonald's wants a lesson in proper management let me know. Counted multiple employees checking their phones as I waited. read more

If they had no stars I would give them that. Tonight I stopped by to place an order. The lady came to the counter with 2 inches of the nastiest looking finger nails. Is it not at all possible to have some basic human sanitizing. She strolled slowly to the counter and preceded to start digging in her ears and hair. I wanted to puke. After I gave her my order she tried to use the screen to type in the order. It's no wonder that want the customers to type in their own orders. The standards of dining in a fast food place have reached a new low and McDonalds has far outpaced the field in the race to the bottom.! I honestly have no idea how they survive. Chic Filet must hire their staff from a different planet. I just can't understand the lack of ability to have your employees understand how this reflects on them. So sad read more

February 12, 2020 McDonald's - Arboretum 3315 Pineville-Matthews Rd. Charlotte, NC 28226 Attn: Store Manager McDonald's Licensee/Owner's 1383 13th Avenue Drive NW Hickory, NC 28601 Attn: Patrick and Heather Joyner McDonald's Corporate Office 2111 McDonald's Dr Oak Brook, IL 60523 Attn: Joe Erlinger - President, McDonald's USA Chris Kempczinski - Chief Executive Officer On Friday February 7th 2020, I had the unfortunate displeasure of visiting the local McDonald's Store at the Arboretum Shopping Center. I believe this to be Store #3601, if my memory serves me correctly. I went through the drive-thru for what should have been a quick and uneventful visit. The issue began at approximately 12:35 that afternoon, when I pulled into the drive-thru line. I started back about three cars order point. It took approximately 10 minutes to move the three car lengths for the opportunity to place my order. A very simple order. A cheeseburger, large Coke with light ice, and a strawberry-banana smoothie. They were unable to provide the smoothie as the machine was down. From the order point to the payment point, it took approximately 15 minutes, moving inches at a time. It then took another 2 minutes or so to get to the actual food window. When I arrived to pick up the food, I was handed the two items that I ordered by a young man. At that time, I asked to speak with the manager. A woman in a light blue shirt came to the window. I addressed her advising that I had been in line for over 25 minutes to get my order. Her explanation was that they were short staffed. I explained to her that this was not really my concern and that is something that she needs to take up with her employees. I advised that she might want to consider closing one or both of the drive-thru order points in order to drive the customers inside. She told me that they were backed up inside as well, and the proceeded to slam the window shut on me. I stayed at that window awaiting someone to open it back up so that I could re-address the issue with the manager. Side-Note---Kudos to the young man at the window that was handing out orders, as he realized the situation and immediately started to collect completed orders and bring them outside to customers waiting in the car line. Meantime, another young lady opened the window and told me that I had to move, that I was holding up the line. I explained that I would move when the manager apologized for slamming the window on me. Another female employee then got behind that young lady and stated matter-of-factly that the manager did not owe me an apology. She then proceeded to state that I had to move and that they had called the police. I then advised that I would leave when the police arrived. The next major issue was when one of those young ladies came to the window, told me to move and that if I did not move, she would throw HOT WATER at me, as she picked up a cup. Of course, I said, please do that. Knowing that we were in a stalemate, she also slammed the window closed and proceeded to flip the bird at me through the window. With all of this said, this was a customer service situation at its worst, and is wrong on so many levels. As soon a I got home, I immediately called corporate customer service explaining the details as mentioned above, I specifically asked if that conversation was being recorded and was told that it was. The young woman in corporate was extremely nice and handled the situation appropriately. I asked her to pass the information on to the owners/operators. Within a very short time-frame, I received a call back from a woman who stated that she was in customer service at the McDonald's Hickory office. Again, I readdressed the situation with her and was received positively. When she asked how to proceed, I advised that perhaps the owner operators might want to take a trip to Charlotte to visit this store and to see what was really going on. I offered to meet with them to further discuss. At that time, I asked that at a minimum one or both of the owners give me a call. On Saturday, February 8th, I left a message with the Hickory office stating that I had not received a call, and that this will not go away. Fast forward to Monday, February 10th, 2020. I still had not heard anything at all from them so I placed a call back to the Hickory office. The young lady that I had previously spoken with at the Hickory office spoke with me again. I explained that I had yet to hear from anyone. She explained that that she had passed the info on to the regional manager and was disappointed that I had yet to hear anything. I iterated that my expectation was to hear from the owners. After speaking with her, I called McDonald's Corporate again to explain my disappoint at not hearing anything from the Hickory owners. I figured that this might shake things up and I would hear something. Much to my dismay, today is Wednesday, February 12th, 2020, and crickets. read more

This is fast food! Lower the bar if you are expecting a five star restaurant for $5. The staff here work hard and are very nice!

Me and my two boys went to this McDonald's this past weekend and ordered three meals with three waters in the drive through. At the pickup window I was told to pull forward. After waiting 5 minutes I was brought my food and three empty cups and told I must come in and get my own water. I said we were not coming in and then the server said OK and kept the empty cups and walked away. I also noticed we didn't get a receipt so I drove back through the drive through. I asked for the manager and the manager also REFUSED to get me the three cups with water I ordered. The manager said she was low on staff and we would have to do it ourselves. I also said I didnt get a receipt and I wanted a full refund for the lack of service. This was the worst experience during a visit to a McDonald's. read more

A store owner needs to review the cameras from 12:45 to 1pm. Several cars came and went through With out being helped. I called the store several times. Finally a Spanish man answered and said he is looking at the camera and doesn't see anyone in the drive thru. I called from the drive thru. There was another car at the other speaker. Absolutely ridiculous. In fact I'm calling in the morning to make sure a store manager knows what's going on in the store. When we circled the first time, there was no one in site. When we drove around 15 minutes later after calling and being hung up on, there was magically a gentleman wiping down tables. Is there only one person working the whole shift? read more

Got a crispy chicken sandwich this morning and got to work to find out it was not cooked well. Took it back on my lunch break. The manager was rude and unapologetic. Instead of cooking me a fresh one, she just grabbed one that was sitting back there. She was also rude to a young lady who was being ignored by othet workers. Sha hadn't gotten her food from the drive-thru and it was taking 35 minutes. She really didn't believe the young lady but questioned her over and over again.
