I recently moved to the area and have brought my family here about 5 times now. It's not great for a McDonalds honestly. Every time they either forget about our order (not even sure how that happens), and/or the food has been bad- like cold fries or burger that tastes like it's been sitting for a while. Half of the time they don't bring our food to the table either like most other McDonalds locations do- even when I've ordered off the app and entered my table number they just yell out my number from the counter, meaning I have to pick up the baby and somehow get all our food back to the table with my arms already full. I have been unimpressed enough times now that I plan to just drive further to go somewhere else next time. Wouldn't recommend this location. They must need a new manager or something. read more

What a disaster. Spills, garbages overflowing, fries everywhere. This place was gross. It wasn't very busy and yet we waited over 20 minutes for our food and when it came, it was cold I mean all of it was cold -- the fries, the burger, the chicken nuggets. All cold. It seemed like they had plenty of workers, at least by the ruckus we could hear behind the counter. I will say that the young woman who helped us at the counter, when we walked in, was very polite. I think the rest of the staff was also very nice. They just seemed completely oblivious to the mess all around them. read more

Sometimes I wander into a McDonald's franchise that reminds me of the local Micky D's where I ate as a kid: three lines at the counter, busy cooks, tables full of families and hot, hot food. Sadly, most McDonald's today are like this one: dark, dirty, and quiet except for the tots screaming in the jungle gym while their moms catch a break. The food is okay...but does anyone really LOVE this stuff anymore? From the impersonal kiosks and servers yelling "Guest 748!!?" to the faux-comfy coffee lounge decor to the E. coli in your Quarter Pounder (Oct 2024), McDonald's has fallen farther and faster than any other fast food joint in America. I put in an mobile order at 11:40 and when I arrived to pick up, I was left waiting at the drive thru for 10 minutes. I ended up driving to the window and was told that they just barley closed... at 11:57. I asked them what time they closed and they said midnight. So I mentioned that usually when you say you've "just barely closed" that its AFTER the time posted for closing. Then they tell me they actually close at 11:30 and that I'll have to either wait for a refund on the app or come in tomorrow morning for a cash refund. So overall it seems that since they didn't want to be there, they just decided to close early. I understand not wanting to stay later than needed. I also work late customer service but I also have enough awareness to understand that if I really didn't want to be there, I would get a different job. It's honestly baffling how they have no embarrassment. The girl at the window seemed sweet but whoever the girl is that I'm assuming was the shift lead could've cared less. I'd give zero stars if I could. This location is the worst McDonalds we have ever experienced. We went through the drive through for lunch. The individual taking our order was condescending when we did not order one of our hamburgers with the correct name. We ordered three kids meals to take home, and when we arrived home, none of them had the chicken nuggets. We ordered hot fudge sundaes, and they were served with no hot fudge. And we also received a special order that belonged to someone else. All of this in one visit!!! I attempted to get a refund for the food I did not receive, and was told No. Apparently they could only issue me chicken nuggets, but I would have to return to the restaurant which I find unacceptable since it was a take away order and I'm no longer in the area. Also, I was hung up on twice when attempting to speak with the restaurant manager. The only thing that saves this McDonald's from going out of business, is it's location. wow...I made the mistake of going inside and talk about one disgusting place. IT WAS FILTHY !! The floors, tables, counter area hadn't been cleaned in sometime. The restrooms were both "out of order" thankfully as can't even imagine how bad they must be. The trash cans were overflow. The floors were so sticky! The fries? AMAZING! But the restaurant was a mess, our chicken sandwich had a hair in it, and when we ordered coffee after about a 15 minutes wait they came out and told us it was broken. They replaced out $3 drinks with a $1 soda. Because they have "self order" machines you rarely see a worker, but when we did see one they were very apologetic and polite about the problems. Also while I was ordering he kept missing things I was saying, I asked for an orange juice he repeated it back to me and didn't add it, I asked for 3 McGriddles and he said "1 McGriddl? okay pull up" and when I pulled up he didn't greet m, just took my card and handed it back after payment. When I got my food I asked about my orange juice and they said he didn't charge me for it. overall the employees seem bored and rude. read more

I just had the most unbelievable interaction with the management of this McDonald's. I had come through the drive-through and ordered $26 worth of food today around 1:40 PM. I dropped my wife off at home and on my way to another meeting received a call that 20 piece nuggets had not been put in the bags. In addition, the double cheeseburger, and 3 spicy chicken sandwiches were cold, she had eaten them on our dive home and commented on the fact they were barely even warm. I drove back to the McDonald's and walked in and spoke to the manager, she had no name badge on. I let her know how disappointed I was to have to come back for missing food and that the sandwiches we ordered were barely warm. Her reply was they have been very busy and when they cook a lot of food, the food cools off. Honestly, I wouldn't want a manager of mine giving that as an answer for a fast food company who makes their living delivering hot food fast. I received the 20 piece nuggets and drive home to drop them off. On my way home I received a call from my wife that the fillet of fish was missing. I called this restaurant and the phone was answered by a man, when I asked to speak to a manager, he responded that he's a manager, so I let him know how angry I was about the fact that now I was having to come back to the restaurant to pick up a fillet of fish sandwich. I told him that I should've gone to the Lehi McDonald's instead, to which he replied "yes you should've gone there then you wouldn't have been angry". I then said to him "did you really just say that? Is that really how you should respond as a manager to an angry customer?" I then said to him "did you really just say that? I told him I'm in the services business, and when we have upset customers we try to make it right, that he should offer some sort of $20 credit or something for $26 of "not so great food" that I got, most of which I didn't even get. To which he replied, we are not a bank, and then hung up. I was already on my way back to this McDonald's, and when I parked I went in quite upset. A young Hispanic male with glasses was standing out front of the restaurant, and walked in behind me as I entered. I asked to speak to the manager, and she came to the counter with a sarcastic smile on her face, the young man with glasses stood next to her. I asked her "can you tell me which manager I spoke to, a male, who hung up on me during our call". She told me, "I'm not going to tell you, how can I help you". I told her I had not received the fillet a fish sandwich that should've been in the original order. I also informed her that someone answered the phone claiming they were a manager told me to go to the Lehi McDonald's instead of Cedar Hills, and then hung up on me" She returned with my fillet of fish sandwich, to which I again gave her feedback about service and about wanting to make customers happy, and she just smiled sarcastically. She said "I'm totally happy with how we've handled this today". When I got home I pulled the fillet of fish sandwich open to inspect it. I'm sure as a joke they out a half slice of cheese, most likely pulled out of the garbage or off the floor. I threw the fillet of fish sandwich away. I wouldn't dare risk eating a sandwich from a place of business we're the staff don't even care as evidenced by how they handled my situation and the subsequent lack of respect for customers. I could see staff chuckling about my complaints behind the counter, the manager was smiling sarcastically even laughed about it while I was expressing my anger and disappointment. I will never eat at this cedar hills restaurant again. I have 6 kids go to lone peak high school and this restaurant was a regular gathering for us after sporting events. It's clean and beautiful and it's location is unparalleled. But none of that will matter if the food, and more importantly the service is so bad. I live in Alpine. I own service businesses. Candidly, that's the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had, I've eaten at McDonald's all over the world, and the worst experience ever bar none had to happen in Cedar Hills, UT. read more

Terrible. Never going here again. I can't seem to ever get a fresh hamburger or fries. Maybe the 8 times I've been here in the last 18 months ALWAYS just happens to be when food has been sitting for too long, but what are the odds? This is one of the worst McDonald's locations that I've been. The customer service is very bad for the most part. I understand that the people working there may not enjoy it, but you should treat customers respectfully. In my most recent visit, I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese in a combo. I took one bite into the burger, and when I pulled it back I saw the inside of the patty, which was hot pink/red. Do I want E. coli? Not so much. I asked the worker there how the patty was normally cooked l, because that is what I was afraid of, and he said well done. I spat that bite out and threw the rest of the burger away. So I ended up just having some fries and a drink. I didn't bother calling the store to try and make amends, because previous efforts have been unsuccessful. I've been to this location lots of times. It's about 50/50 whether or not I'll have a good experience. Today I went to get a hot fudge sundae, and was pretty annoyed... they handed me the sundae and there was no hot fudge. I asked, and they said it was at the bottom, so I left. My drive through experience: I asked, "which of these burgers has tomatoes?" He gave me two options that I couldn't understand (not good English). After trying a third time to clarify what he was talking about, I finally said, "ok, I'll have that first option in a combo." The rest of the experience seemed to go fine. He ended up giving me a quarter pounder combo, which I was fine with. The burger was bulging kinda funny, so I opened it up and found that this guy had gotten creative and gone the extra mile to give me tomatoes on my burger - two cherry tomatoes! Made me laugh hard enough that I would definitely suffer through another order in the future as long as they did something equally creative each time. I'll be thinking of what my next special order will be. Not the greatest customer service, but the bite with the cherry tomatoes tasted great. Thanks man!!! I added a couple extra stars- one for making me laugh, and the other for the two cherry tomatoes which are definitely making it in the gratitude journal tonight. read more

I am a senior citizen, not a young kid. This is the WORST run McDonald's I have ever experienced. Eaten here every day for 3 weeks, not some random event. They are never on open the hours they are supposed to be per website, even the personnel agree. That is why they don't post their hours on the door. Supposed to have lobby open until 10 pm on weeknights, never open much past 9. I watch 20+ people at night walk up and yank on door. Drive thru always long and slow so hear people say going to Arctic Circle. Weren't even open at all last Sunday after 6 or so. Agree with AshbyO, their ice cream machine is always 'broken', but on alternate nights. So either they need a new repairman, or more probably, not broken, they just don't want to deal with the effort in making Sundaes, DESPITE the Deal of the Day McD's is running on them. They are always out of cookies and other products as well. Most employees are very nice, but a couple at night are major jerks. I've talked to the Overall Manager, and there lies the problem. Woman who doesn't really care that her store is closing hours early, that customers besides me are telling her of the problems. She and half the staff need to be canned ASAP and start anew. BUT same problem in American Fork, so Franchisor is big part of problem. How many other McDonald's do you see with totally all 1 star reviews? Usually you see some positive. None here. I can't believe the District Office doesn't follow theses reviews and address the issues in store and respond to reviewers online. I've run 100's of franchise and corporate stores for major companies. This is a major management problem, at least District wide, if not bigger. This franchisor needs her franchise agreement threatened to wake her up. The hours issue alone should be enough to allow voiding of agreement, not to mention all the problems listed here.
