Powerade spilled all over the table and floor
    Mike S.

What a disaster. Spills, garbages overflowing, fries everywhere. This place was gross. It wasn't very busy and yet we waited over 20 minutes for our food and when it came, it was cold I mean all of it was cold -- the fries, the burger, the chicken nuggets. All cold. It seemed like they had plenty of workers, at least by the ruckus we could hear behind the counter. I will say that the young woman who helped us at the counter, when we walked in, was very polite. I think the rest of the staff was also very nice. They just seemed completely oblivious to the mess all around them.

The fries? AMAZING! But the restaurant was a mess, our chicken sandwich had a hair in it, and when we ordered coffee after about a 15 minutes wait they came out and told us it was broken. They replaced out $3 drinks with a $1 soda. Because they have "self order" machines you rarely see a worker, but when we did see one they were very apologetic and polite about the problems. I love me some McDonald's, but this location just wasn't it.

    BigMac and fries.

Well, it's Sunday. Who wants to cook? Not me. Some times you just need your Big Mac and fries. I forgo a beverage for my own favorite. One thing you can always expect is fast service and the same burger. So there you go.

Notice the half slice of cheese... after my complaints about service this is how they pulled one over on me.

I just had the most unbelievable interaction with the management of this McDonald's. I had come through the drive-through and ordered $26 worth of food today around 1:40 PM. I dropped my wife off at home and on my way to another meeting received a call that 20 piece nuggets had not been put in the bags. In addition, the double cheeseburger, and 3 spicy chicken sandwiches were cold, she had eaten them on our dive home and commented on the fact they were barely even warm. I drove back to the McDonald's and walked in and spoke to the manager, she had no name badge on. I let her know how disappointed I was to have to come back for missing food and that the sandwiches we ordered were barely warm. Her reply was they have been very busy and when they cook a lot of food, the food cools off. Honestly, I wouldn't want a manager of mine giving that as an answer for a fast food company who makes their living delivering hot food fast. I received the 20 piece nuggets and drive home to drop them off. On my way home I received a call from my wife that the fillet of fish was missing. I called this restaurant and the phone was answered by a man, when I asked to speak to a manager, he responded that he's a manager, so I let him know how angry I was about the fact that now I was having to come back to the restaurant to pick up a fillet of fish sandwich. I told him that I should've gone to the Lehi McDonald's instead, to which he replied "yes you should've gone there then you wouldn't have been angry". I then said to him "did you really just say that? Is that really how you should respond as a manager to an angry customer?" I then said to him "did you really just say that? I told him I'm in the services business, and when we have upset customers we try to make it right, that he should offer some sort of $20 credit or something for $26 of "not so great food" that I got, most of which I didn't even get. To which he replied, we are not a bank, and then hung up. I was already on my way back to this McDonald's, and when I parked I went in quite upset. A young Hispanic male with glasses was standing out front of the restaurant, and walked in behind me as I entered. I asked to speak to the manager, and she came to the counter with a sarcastic smile on her face, the young man with glasses stood next to her. I asked her "can you tell me which manager I spoke to, a male, who hung up on me during our call". She told me, "I'm not going to tell you, how can I help you". I told her I had not received the fillet a fish sandwich that should've been in the original order. I also informed her that someone answered the phone claiming they were a manager told me to go to the Lehi McDonald's instead of Cedar Hills, and then hung up on me" She returned with my fillet of fish sandwich, to which I again gave her feedback about service and about wanting to make customers happy, and she just smiled sarcastically. She said "I'm totally happy with how we've handled this today". When I got home I pulled the fillet of fish sandwich open to inspect it. I'm sure as a joke they out a half slice of cheese, most likely pulled out of the garbage or off the floor. I threw the fillet of fish sandwich away. I wouldn't dare risk eating a sandwich from a place of business we're the staff don't even care as evidenced by how they handled my situation and the subsequent lack of respect for customers. I could see staff chuckling about my complaints behind the counter, the manager was smiling sarcastically even laughed about it while I was expressing my anger and disappointment. I will never eat at this cedar hills restaurant again. I have 6 kids go to lone peak high school and this restaurant was a regular gathering for us after sporting events. It's clean and beautiful and it's location is unparalleled. But none of that will matter if the food, and more importantly the service is so bad. I live in Alpine. I own service businesses. Candidly, that's the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had, I've eaten at McDonald's all over the world, and the worst experience ever bar none had to happen in Cedar Hills, UT.

Burnt fries and raw Travis Scott burger. Just skip this location and you will be fine. Just sloppy poor service and uncaring staff.

Sloppy and poor service by uncaring staff. Burnt fries and raw Travis Scott burger. Orders are often wrong.

Pulled the fries out and this is how many they gave me... kind of speaks for itself

Slowest fast food I have ever been to. If your going through the drive through it will take roughly 25 minutes.

I really wanted to like this place. I really tried to like this place...but I have to be honest…read more Let's start with the good--the bbq vibe was strong (country music, chalkboards with drawings, bbq smell wafting thru the air). Now for the not-so-good. We usually call ahead because we have a few family members with food allergies. We called ahead and everything sounded kopacetic. We arrived and ordered our food. One member of our 6 person party ate a couple of fries (which she asked about ahead of time due to her allergies) and she noticed something different about the fries. We asked one of the workers if they put something on the fries because they were crispy on the outside. The worker said "I don't think so." We asked if he could check to be sure so he went to ask. He came back and said "it's just crispy coating." So again we asked "can you tell us what is in the crispy coating because we are trying to avoid an allergic reaction." He replied "it's just crispy coating I don't know what's in it." So we asked "is there anyway you can find out what's in the crispy coating?" He replied "there is definitely a way to find out." He goes to the back...again. When he returns he says, "we fry the fries in a fryer with our chicken tenders. I would suggest not eating the fries." His suggestion is well-taken but we still don't know what's in the 'crispy coating.' When we were ordering, one member in my group asked for the two meat plate with brisket and pork ribs. The menu says "pork ribs." The worker said "We don't have pork ribs. We have ribs." So ribs it was. Giving a little room for grace, he was a young man who seemed to be new. BUT if you are at the cash register taking orders, you really should know what's on your menu. As for the food, it was disappointing. Portions were small. For the two meat plate with brisket and sausage, I was given one piece of brisket and a small hot link. To be fair, the menu says "8 oz" for the two meat plate so you kind of know what you're getting. When the order comes out, it looks very small. The brisket was a little on the dry side. The hot link was tasty but small. Buyer beware. TLDR; not coming back

I am not sure what I was expecting, but I definitely thought they were in a more centralized location. They are not too far from State Street but not close to too many other businesses either. The great news is, they have a wide open parking lot with plenty of spaces. Their food truck is super cute. It hardly looks like a truck and resembles more of a massive wagon. They really went all out with the branding and I am here for it. With it being a parked food truck, they didn't have a lobby or an inside but they did have some tables and chairs right outside their truck. Upon approaching the truck, a guy came to stand beside me and take my order. I was not 100% sure what I wanted but I elected for their signature burger with fries. He said that he could bring it out to my car once it was ready, which I extra appreciated because it was not a very nice day out. My total was just shy of 20 bucks, at $19.27. I sorta understand. I mean, they're a local food truck and it seems that they strive to provide much better quality food than other fast food places...but this is pretty steep for just a burger and fries. The food did seem to come out pretty fast and I was excited to try it. The onion on the burger was a bit large, it was almost an inch thick and I think I would've preferred it cut up just a little more. The fries were pretty good but tasted a bit greasier than I would've liked. I did like that it came with a fry sauce. All in all, I really liked Burger Pioneers. I felt that all the flavors were a bit overpowering and almost bitter because of the greasy taste, but it wasn't a bad burger spot. I hope to be back when the weather is nicer with some friends. This is probably such a cute, fun spot in the summer time!

We ordered 2 burgers and we added bacon on both of our burgers which was extra. When we are our burgers, we couldn't even tell there was bacon on there. We couldn't taste it at all. It wasn't crispy. The bacon was really small and it was a cheap kind of bacon. We paid extra for it and couldn't even tell a difference. We ordered a side of waffle fries for our 11 month old daughter. Most of the fries were super hard and way over done. We couldn't feed them to her since she doesn't have all of her teeth. We ended up throwing them away because they were just so hard and not good. It is also super expensive. No fountain drinks just canned soda. Also, when we ordered nobody else was there and we waited so long for our food. We waited in our car since it was freezing outside but the service was so slow.
