I forgot. Presumably the owner) told him that it was permitted. She disagreed. A squabble ensued and Jackson, now vanquished, went to the back. Victorious, Ms. Manager made me pay full price. The food was good and Jackson was kind, but four stars for 1) the lack of communication among staff and 2) the fact that the manager insisted I pay full price even after one of her subordinates suggested I could use my coupon. I also felt she treated Jackson poorly.

We browsed the menu at the counter, and the owner greeted us right away and took our order. Prices felt a little on the high side, but we chalked it up to traveling. My wife ordered a DIY salad, but there was hardly any lettuce available, so we swapped it for spinach instead. All the ingredients looked fresh and tasted great. Our cheese sticks and marinara came out first. They looked good, but once we bit into them, they seemed a bit old -- no cheese pull, chunky texture, and tasted like they'd been in the freezer for a while. Soon after, our pizza and pasta arrived. The pizza had plenty of veggies (which I like), though it was a little light on cheese and sauce. Still, the flavor was good. The pasta was tasty but a bit watery, though it did come with about eight shrimp, which definitely made my wife happy. We ate until we were stuffed, and the owner even brought out to-go containers for us. Overall, a good spot for pizza and pasta. If we're ever in the area again, we'd go back! We ended up eating the rest of the pizza and pasta later that night at the hotel!
