I would give zero stars for the McDonalds in Burgaw if I could give zero stars. Our order was $15.03. I handed the cashier the cash for the exact amount at the first window. When we got to the second window, we were told that our credit card was declined. We told the cashier that we paid cash so no credit card could be declined. Then he tell us we are $1 short. This McDonald's location was horrible. My husband and I split the cheeseburger combo which comes with two cheeseburgers, fries and a soda. The food was not good and the drive-thru took forever. We stopped here for a quick lunch on the way to the beach and I do not recommend it. read more

This is the WORST McDonalds I have ever been in for my entire life and I'm 74. We stopped after being on the road for many hours. We had to use the restrooms and get something to eat. First, the men's restroom was absolutely fifthly with feces and pools of urine in the handicap stall. I decided not to use the stall and go to the urinal. There was a big pool of urine in front of the urinal. That should have been a clue to run out of there but no I was dumb enough to order food. The service was very slow with Attila the Hun at the counter. Not at all friendly. While waiting for my food. I looked around. The food area behind the counter was HORRIBLE! It looked like the floor had not been swept or mopped in weeks, the area for the milkshakes was full of dried up ice cream even though the machine was broken. My wife went to fill up our soda cups and the soda area was also HORRIBLE! Had not been cleaned in weeks by appearance. NEVER AGAIN AT THIS LOCATION. Ordered a "Carmel iced coffee" received what was essentially just milk and caramel. Asked for to be remade they made it exactly like the initial time. Then refused to make it a 3rd (correctly). My choices were either money back or a iced black coffee w/ cream and sugar added personally. read more

Management clearly needs to be retrained. I placed a mobile order and another order in the drive thru. I was told to pull forward and wait for my food. One worker brings my first bag and I begin to eat a hash brown while I wait for the remainder of my food. The manager comes out with my other order and tells me the bag I have isn't mine. It is, but they don't understand that I ordered twice. She proceeds to ask me for the bag I had and the hashbrown (I was eating). Then she says she'll have to take the hash brown from the other bag to put into the bag she assumes to be someone elses. Although both bags were mine, it is absolutely disgusting that after I had eaten some of the food she was swapping food around in bags to presumably give to an entirely different customer instead of making a fresh meal for them! Good luck getting food from Mcdonalds in Burgaw, NC on your lunch break. Ordered food from the kiosk because the line outside was wrapped around the building. Kiosk said there was a problem with my payment, pay at counter. Go to counter and when someone finally came up, she can't take a card at the counter because they apparently opened the one without a card reader. So I get to get back in line at the kiosk and redo my order and this time it takes my card. The kiosk plainly says pay at counter - cash or card. Also all the staff were rude and my kid's honey mustard was hot mustard instead. read more

When they came out with the preorder app things got even worse with always having to got back inside to have them correct an order delivered to the car wrong ... Really? Isn't the preorder app there to not have you go into the store? Then they don't understand why you are upset. Have not been there for a while and have no plans to Evers go back. This is the only McDonald's I can ever eat from. Every now and then the chicken nuggets are raw, but they're still better than the nuggets from other McDonald's around the area. The sweet tea is good, and the fries are typically great. The wait is never very long, even if the lines are impressive. Customer service is pretty good, almost never rude. There was no dessert menu visible, so we asked the cashier what they had and she never gave a clear reply so we asked if they still had mcflurrys, she just yea just wanting us to order.
