This location is about a block from my home. (Here in north Georgia the streets curve so much that I use the term "block" rather loosely.) Being McDonald's there's not much variation from one location to another. That's the point, isn't it? Whether you're in Philadephia, Los Angels, or Chicago, you know what a McDonald's hamburger will taste like. The feature I like best is the unlimited free refills on the drinks. Speaking of drinks, today is St. Patrick's Day, so I wanted to make sure I got a Shamrock Shake. It was green-ish, had a good strong mint flavor and bits of Oreo. The cookie crumbs add a nice crunch to the smooth shake. I also got my beloved McNuggets with hot mustard dipping sauce. I'm not really one for spicy foods, but the hot mustard has just enough kick. Sadly, the McNuggets got stale quickly. It's about 30 minutes since I placed my order, and the nuggets are beginning to lose their crispiness. Other than that, I'm glad I made the trip. read more

I have been a couple times to dine in and the food always takes forever to be made which is not what you want from any fast food restaurant. The food itself is typically cold as well. This is the worst McDonald's. They say they are open 24 hrs and you would think they were since there are employees in there to tell you they they are closed. I went by there at 1am today, yesterday I was there about 1230 and I was told they were closed but the person in the drive thru. This location customer service is rude as hell and unprofessional. They gave me and my boyfriend cold hash browns for breakfast when we asked for them to be cook to order. I spent the entire next day with nausea and diarrhea after having a Big Mac and chicken nuggets from this McDonald's the day before, and not having any other food that day. She speaks kindly to all of the customers here and goes out of her way to serve. I don't know her name, I didn't see a name tag or find her name on our receipt but she looked to be a manager or assistant manager (I can't tell). This review is based on me coming here for TEN YEARS!!!! So keep that in mind. Alot of Yelp users have 1 bad experience and write a terrible review. I have never had a bad experience here. I have always had friendly service. The food has always been to my expectations. Sure, I waited too long at drive thru several times but seriously, who cares? I'm writing this tonight because i ordered my food at the drive thru window and had to wait a while behind one other car. When it was my turn to pull up, the employee apologized for the wait and gave me free fries. Without me complaining whatsoever. That's good customer service. On Wendsday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00pm the female who was taking the orders through the drive thru kept on ignoring the only simple question I had. After asking her the same question 10 times she finally replied saying, " I dont know", but if she doesn't know she is able to ask that is how all people learn is by asking. She does not place no effort into learning her own job. She was extremely lazy to ask, so she kept saying "I dont know", after I asked her if she could ask another employee who may know the answer to my question. The only reason I asked this question it is because I'm allergic to powder drinks, and I wanted to know if it is made with real fruit or powder, and she kept saying with a lazy tone of voice "I don't know." Furthermore, she held up the line, in which the cars who were behind me, waiting to order, left because most people do not have time to be waiting on someone lazy who doesn't want to work. Side note: While asking her this question, she kept acting as if I didn't ask a question and would keep saying, "what size, what size, what size, what size", but I can't order a size if she doesn't answer my question. She does not have any communication skills. Like a typical narcissist, she then blames me telling me to calm down, when she is the one providing the silent treatment and negligence to respond, which is considered mental abuse for anyone who is having to put up with her. read more

I came in for service and I asked for fresh fries. I drove off afterwards and took a handful of my fries, and they were not even slightly fresh. I came back and requested fresh fries. I was given the worst service afterwards even though my room initial request was ignored. i was even asked why fries were missing as if there wasn't time to have eaten any. Waited 17 minutes for two combo meals (?!?!?!) They tried to short us a drink (2 combo meals, 2 drinks, right?) , then got the order wrong anyway. I am fairly sure McDonalds does not employ rocket scientists, and this was proven beyond all doubt today. From what I saw, management was MIA, and complex items like serving coffee were beyond the capabilities of the staff. Supposedly the kiosks were to make everything run better - instead, they simply make the mistakes made by untrained managers and workers worse. Every time we goto this location something is wrong. Always forget items. Always have to check the bag before we leave. Today they charged me $7.00 and $6.42 (swiped my card twice in same receipt.). Told me it was a glitch in the system and to come back tomorrow to get a refund. Asked for the manager and she couldn't understand why I was charged twice in one transaction and said again a glitch in the system. Not sure why the ratings are so low, but I've never experienced an issue. They are fast, even during the lunch rush. My order is always correct! Worst McDonald's I've been to in Buford and the one in front of the mall is pretty bad. The drive-thru line says "any lane any time". I sat in lane 2 while orders were taken from three different cars pulling into lane one. Then the person behind me backed up and went to lane one, also ordering before I was ever addressed. It really pissed me off.
