Super futuristic building! And great music. I never thought I'd rate a McDonald's 5 stars, but alas, here I am.

This is possibly the slowest McDonalds drive through I've ever been to. It never fails that I have to wait at least 20 minutes in line.

I think they've had some turnover in the management category, possibly. Haven't seen the same crew, and the service is much improved lately.

I got the Patty Melt & Strawberry Shake, and I also tried their Raspberry Refresher. The drinks were pretty good (the shake was a little too sweet). I ate indoors but had to park across, as the parking situation + drive through seemed really congested. Service: Pretty quick when I came in to eat -- staff was very nice and walking around with the sauces as well. Ambience: Quirky, bright, and orange! Nice and clean inside.

I noticed it when in town for a monthly visit, and only because Brentwood traffic made it impossible for me to get where I needed, so I had to drive out of my way to get there. And there it was. That WHATABURGER sign in the front yard, only to find that it wasn't open yet. So I waited. FINALLY the day came and I was able to visit. Yes, I could have visited the previous month, but the parking lot basically said "We're full. Try again later". I tend to wait until after the "A New Restaurant Has Opened" phase dies down so I don't need to battle a crowd. The very first thing I noticed: This Is A Small Whataburger. I think the kitchen-to-dining-room ratio is about 2 to 1. Seriously. 2/3 of the building is kitchen/storage, and the front 1/3 is dining room and restrooms. As I recall there are less than 10 tables in the dining area. There are two kiosks for ordering and a counter with two registers. I visited on Monday and Wednesday of this week. Monday was a bit busier, but I had no problems. On Monday I had the Jalapeño Cheese Burger meal and on Wednesday I had the Pico de Gallo burger. In both cases I was able to order at the counter (I despise fast food ordering kiosks) relatively quickly. Less than five minutes after entering I had my drink cup and waited for my food. The person who took my order was friendly and courteous and was able to answer any questions. For as short a time as this location has been open it's nice to see that the staff has the product information down. The kitchen is pretty well hidden away from customer view in this location. I'm pretty sure that's because of the way the existing building was when Whataburger took over. Less than 10 minutes after ordering my food arrived. It was hot and accurate. Whataburger's Spicy Ketchup is exactly what their fries need. The fries aren't remarkable, but the Spicy Ketchup gives it just what it needs. The (very small) dining room was relatively clean, but on both visits the trash bins were could have used some attention. On both visits I didn't see any urgency to clean up tables when they became unoccupied. I'm glad I'll be able to get Whataburger on my monthly visit to Brentwood. I'm sure that, once it gets on its feet, this Whataburger will be awesome.

I recently paid my first visit to this Taco Bell when I was in Brentwood for work. It was a rainy,…read moredreary day and Jim wanted some comfort food. (Don't look at me like that. I worked at Taco Bell for over 9 years. It's my comfort food. :) ) The dining room in this location looks larger than most, and I get the feeling this location is relatively new...or maybe not-too-long-ago remodeled. Before going any further, I will say that I despise Taco Bell for pushing customers to order at a kiosk. Do I understand why? Yes, from a dollars-and-cents perspective, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. It's as if they put more emphasis on the bottom line than they do on the customer experience. The kiosk is 100% impersonal. The kiosk doesn't greet you. The kiosk doesn't smile and ask you how your day is. That's across the entirety of Taco Bell, though, and not against this location. It's not that you can't order at the counter (should you be able to get someone's attention), it's just the they'd 100% prefer you did. The dining room was immaculately clean when I walked in and made my way to the cold, impersonal ordering kiosk. I placed my order and waited for my food. After about five minutes my order was delivered. It was hot and accurate, and well-portioned. It was entirely what I was expecting with no problems. When I was done with my meal I was still hungry, though. I thought "You know what this meal needs? It needs a Taco Supreme®". So I went to the counter to order one. The gentleman at the counter (yes, I opted for the counter option) took my order and I paid -- using cash! -- and had a quick conversation with the employee that took my order. It was rather pleasant! (Try that with a kiosk. It'll just look at you judge-y). My Taco Supreme® was made fast and tasted great. The next time I'm in Brentwood I'll definitely visit again. Clean dining room. Fast food delivery. Pleasant staff. OH..and I love the aesthetic in this place.

Jefferson's in Brentwood is exactly what it is, and that's the point. It is part of a regional…read morechain with 6 locations. This isn't fine dining and doesn't pretend to be. It's a sports bar done right wings, burgers, and oysters, with TVs everywhere you look and a menu built perfectly for the setting. Bar food that actually delivers is harder to find than people think, and Jefferson's clears that bar comfortably. Five stars for what it is. I had the buffalo chicken salad with grilled chicken, croutons held. Here's where it gets interesting, they'll toss the chicken in any of their 19 house signature sauces. Nineteen. That's not a gimmick, that's a commitment to the concept. I went with the homemade Angry Ranch on the side, which brings a little heat. Fair warning: it runs a little heavy on the vinegar for my taste, though not enough to hurt the salad. The salad itself was generous, crispy, and fresh, nothing wilted. That matters more than people give credit for. Service was by Emily, who was attentive, got my order right, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Jefferson's knows what they are. Good menu, thoughtful dining room layout, solid execution. If you're looking for a sports bar that actually has its act together with 19 sauces to prove they take the wings details seriously then this is your place.

Chipotle is a great place to eat. They were one of the first chains to jump on the "clean…read moreingredient" trend (which is something I am in favor of), and was, to my recollection, the first Mexican chain to go with the "assemble as you go" format of item preparation that has since been adopted by M**'s and Q****. Getting in and out of this location can be kind of a pain because of the local traffic and traffic patterns, but if you're determined you'll get there. The inside is kept clean, and I love the novelty of the drink station and the speakers appearing not-yet-finished. I also like their take on the tall tables that seat six, have stainless steel table tops, and the light fixtures over them. It's almost an industrial aesthetic. While we're at it, can we talk about that aesthetic? Speakers. Drink station. Plywood (more or less unfinished). I'm sure there's a reason for it, perhaps some company legacy or something, but while I like it I still have to wonder after eating at Chipotle for more than several many years. The menu is pretty straight forward. You order what you want (Tacos, burrito, bowl, or salad), add your protein (steak, carnitas, chicken, barbacoa (my faaaaaavorite), or sofritas), then customize with rice or beans and variety of toppings and sauces. By combining various ingredients you can come up with a wide variety of entrees. The Chips & Guac or Chips & Salsa are great sides. For my money it's white rice, barbacoa, fajita vegetables, tomatillo red-chili salsa (the hot stuff!), sour cream and cheese. That's ALL I need...ever...for the rest of my life. The staff at this location is friendly and helpful, and does an amazing job of cleaning up tables and keeping the dining room looking great. There were a surprising number of people working, but it's not like they were standing around. Everyone was busy and contributing to keep the food moving, the customers happy, and the dining room clean. The staff was helpful with suggestions along the way and took the time to get what we needed without it seeming like an inconvenience.
