Worst McDonald's experience so far. Ordered a kids meal, wasn't given any napkins when clearly we have children in our car. They didn't ask about apples in the kids meal and just assumed 2 fries and the boys toy for my girls. Since the dining room is closed you're forced to order through the drive thru. Ordered a small fry, drink and 10 piece nugget and instead of ringing it up as a nugget meal, paid for it all separately. Used a gift card for part of it not knowing exactly how much was on it and the kid at the register didn't tell us how much remaining balance there was after the gift card was applied. Save yourself the headache and go to braums across the street where we've always had great customer service. read more

Very nice employees, way understaffed. The girl at the front counter was by herself handling all the walk-ins and the drive-thru was going out of the parking lot. This is the only location for a minute, so it's very busy! Right off the highway once you get into OK from MO. The bathrooms needed some attention, and the lobby was a messy. Food was ok! read more

Fun meter: 1/5 This McDonald's is not fast food...by the time we got our food ordered at 9:45 am it was lunch time. If you are traveling, expect to make this a lengthy stay...stretch, go to the bathroom, repack your vehicle, and take a nap. Tried to order a medium sweet tea with my meal but they were out of small, medium, large...my option was extra small. An extra small drink-- didn't know that was ever an option. Well guys I officially done with the McDonald's in Blackwell had a horrible experience there today. I ordered on there mobile app for my kids and it accidentally ordered for the counter. I figured hey no problem I will just tell them at the speaker no big deal. No kidding I waited with a car behind me for 25 minutes. Not exaggerating 25 minutes solid. So a little frustrated and no longer wanting my food I pulled forward and there were two cars in front of me that I did not see before. So after forty minutes of waiting I finally reached the windows and calmly asked for a refund. The girl at the windows told me to pull forward and wait and they would take care of the refund. so I sat for a additional 25 minutes then pulled back around and got in line. Once at the windows the manager could not refund me because I did not have the card that was stored in the mobile app. So I left with no food or money and was treated poorly. I cannot tell you how much money I have spent there. We live in a sad world where the customer is last. read more

HOWEVER, I went through their drive thru this evening, to grab a quick meal before I hit the road, and their staff was beyond nice and were downright friendly. The absolute worst McDonald's ever. I had two experiences at this one driving through town. First off I had ordered a McChicken at around 11. I get back home and it is the most stale, rock solid bread and a cold piece of chicken with no sauce or lettuce. I thought it was late so whatever. The next time I go is during the day, and I get a spicy chicken sandwich. I again, get no sauce or pickles. Just the chicken on dry bread. Luckily, me and my boyfriend were eat in the parking lot, so he went inside and then waited about 12 minutes for the employees working trying to open a bag of pickles. By the time he gets back and we open our new sandwich's we both still had NO SAUCE OR PICKLES. Just absolute pure laziness and lack or care for others at this place. Never, in my many years of enjoying McDonald's Filet-o-fish sandwiches, have I experienced as heinous a sandwich as in Blackwell, OK. I generally find McDonald's consistent, and Filet-o-fish can be wonderful. Not there. The staff was unsmiling and unwelcoming when I ordered inside. None were masked or wearing gloves (that I could see) and I could tell by their stares that they didn't care for me wearing my mask. When I received my sandwich and brought it to my car, I noticed an odd smell coming from my food bag. Dirty socks? Confused, I sniffed the top bun -- it smelled sour-ish, yeasty and old. It was also cold and rock-hard! Seemed like it had been on a shelf for weeks. Weirdly, it was a sesame seed bun that had been toasted (as if that could revive it somehow). My entire life, Filet-o-fish sandwiches EVERYWHERE have been served on plain, hot, steamed buns. Disappointed but hungry because I'd been on the road 4 hours, I removed both disgustingly stale buns and attempted to eat the dry, room-temperature fish by itself (which barely had any tartar sauce). I was able to wash down half of it-- only a parking lot bird would finish this abomination. Shortly, I noticed a strange, bitter aftertaste in my mouth, and for the next 2 hours of my drive I wondered if it could have been tampered with. Took over 20 minutes to get our breakfast and another 5 to get them to correct the order. Worst McDonald's EVER!!! The only thing good about this restaurant is that the lone cashier was nice. They did not have enough help, they were out of food items like Canadian Bacon, soda machine ice didn't work properly, dining area not clean, flies, COLD food, etc. This McDonald's was recently refurbished and they really did a bad job. The ordering area is way too small, the furniture is rock hard, the flooring looks dirty even when it isn't, but they did put the drink station in a better location than before. A newer McDonalds, with the usual menu, but as often happens, the order wasn't accurate ("no cheese" was ignored; what is it with cheap cheese and fast food burgers? The cheese is often the least healthy part of the burger.) Worse, the youthful staff was laughing and yelling like children behind the counter while every table was still dirty or unwiped (we were there on a weekday an hour after the lunch rush). Even worse, there was no toilet paper in the men's room and they had put a huge roll or paper towels ON THE TOILET FLOOR for use as toilet paper. Driving through OK to Texas and desperately needed to stop for food. Saw the reviews and thought, "how bad could it possibly be?" Bad. Really bad. Ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese and no bun, received a single patty with only pickles. Ordered a side salad, had one served to me frozen. Not only did it take longer than normal, but for myself and all three of my travel companions they messed up part of our order. I don't know the next time I'll need to stop in this part of OK, but I'd rather eat my own skin off than stop here again. read more

They remodeled the exterior and interior recently. Knowing how it was operated before and after the remodel, it's just "lipstick on a pig". Horrible service, poor quality food (and that's IF you get what your ordered), rarely a clean table to sit at with my family of 4, Loooonnnggg wait in the drive thru. WORST OF ALL! The Manager should be FIRED. The counter staff should ALL be FIRED! Could not have been worse. 1st - entire meal was delivered different than ordered...to the degree that I requested a refund due to abject ignorance from grill staff. I would give this location 0 stars if I could. When we arrived, there was no wait at the kiosk. When I paid, I had no issues and ordered a salad. My boyfriend's kiosk, however, did not work and said that he needed to pay at the front. So we waited for someone to help us at the front for 8 or so minutes with employees passing us by and completely ignoring us. This location was a sh*t show. Only after waiting for 20 minutes for our food did they tell me that they were out of salads and had to give me a refund as I have celiac's disease and can't eat anything else. My boyfriend's fries were old and he didn't even want to eat the burger after seeing the conditions of the kitchen. The employees were very, very slow and clueless.
