Feta salad to go
Yvonne V.

I searched for a deli to grab a salad and sandwich at on my drive from Des Moines to San Antonio. It's only 5 miles off HWY 35, but soooo worth it. The host was so kind and helped me with everything I asked for. I ordered the feta salad and tuna sandwich. They also have coffee and home made bakery items. I ended up grabbing a banana brown sugar cake to go. Do yourself a favor and make the 10 min detour and stop in. It was so worth it!!

The most creative scones I've ever seen!

Loved this cute coffee house! Very kind staff, so clean. Met the owner, she told us the story behind the name. We also found out she makes all the baked goods every day starting at 3/4am! What an awesome business to support. Stopped in on our way home to Texas from KC

Bakery food is fire though. As well as everything else they have to offer. You can sit and enjoy a full meal, or grab something quick on the go. You can grab something hot something cold. Something full of caffeine, or something oozing in caramel. Your options are endless for drinks and lattes, alone. That extends to the food as well.

Every time I visit my friend in Wellington we stop at this cute coffee shop. This place is a gem for such a small town. The menu has a lot of coffee and food options. I got the toffee nut latte with a Turkey BLT and they both were amazing. The atmosphere is so inviting. The staff is lovely and takes the time to perfect your drink, instead of rushing through orders. A great place to work or meet a friend!

A good amount of people stopping by.

I stopped by this little place visiting a friend in Kansas. It was a cute little shop. Nice atmosphere and good food. I had the jalapeño chicken wrap. And the blended mocha latte. Sweet, but yummy. The wrap was delicious! Had a good bite to it. They had a good staff of welcoming individuals. It seemed to be a popular establishment. Overall, great experience.

This place is a sight for sore eyes. It's amazing that downtown wellington has such an amazing establishment. You walk in and can't even believe how beautiful the place is. Then you realize you're at this amazing coffee shop and everything smells so incredible. Not only are the drinks to die for, but the food will blow you away. If you're even semi local and you haven't visited, you're wrong.

Oh yeah!!! I'm the first frequent buyer.

Wellington is very fortunate to have such a well appointed coffee house. The staff is friendly, the roasts are tasty and local (Topeka) and the food items can't be found elsewhere in town. The baristas know what they're doing and are consistent. You won't be disappointed. #alljackedup

Main sitting area. More rooms in back.

He also does a damned good job at trying to remember peoples names which is appreciated highly. I hopped in around 2:45pm or just before they switched from their lunch to dinner menu. I ordered their Cod fish sandwich with house chips on the side, and the Cheddar Potato Leek soup. The Cod sandwich I recommend, unfortunately I've never had anything like it before so I cannot provide any detail in which it can be compared to anything else in town. The flavors are subtle and the gochujang aioli with pickled veggies really balance out the sandwich. The Cheddar Potato Leek soup is a hit, every bite as good as the first, and with the fall / cooler weather coming I'll be looking forward to ordering this often. If you're able to make it here around the 2:45 + timeframe it's pretty open for anyone to come in and get served immediately as it is just after the lunch rush. The inside is dimly lit, and You'll hear the staff hustle and bustle and the kitchen with the clinks and clanks of dishes and silverware. Music ranges with just about anything.

Salmon was great and had crispy skin, but the Yukon potato could be a bit crispier and the veloute was a bit thin, but otherwise really nice presentation. The caviar was a nice touch, but it was a bit strange on top of the Lays like chips. The duck is a bit well-done, when compared to traditional French style, but it was still pretty tender. The duck glace was pretty good and flavorful -- leans savory and sweet. The sweet potato puree was a good balance to the duck breast, creamy and a bit of zest. Bok choy was slightly over-charred but otherwise ok. The croquette was cool already when we got it so I didn't enjoy that quite as much. Broccolini wasn't my favorite. It was really woody. Maybe it was just my portion, but I should've gotten a different side. Portions were just right. Overall, not a bad place for a Friday night dinner or a little date night!

Everything is good, everyone is friendly, prices are reasonable, everything we had was tasty. The owners will serve you up, with an adorable pint-sized helper that, rest assured, is being reminded constantly to wash his hands. It's a small seating area, but if you're from in-town, I can see that this is a great place to catch up with friends. The menu includes several sandwich options (breakfast and lunch), soup, baked goods, and an assortment of coffees and espressos. Didn't want to seem obnoxious so I only took a pic of the food menu. You aren't getting gourmet when you come, but I think it's a great place to stop in and have a quick coffee, and treat. Flavor profile for food is four stars, but I'm giving them the five stars because their service is great, atmosphere is cozy, and I think it's worth a stop in, if you're in the area. Keep it up Wildcat, look forward to stopping back in to try your soup menu.
