As a vegetarian of 50 years I am so amazed when the words "no meat" are so hard to understand. I ordered HUEVOS RANCHEROS, eggs over hard with sauce that is meatless. I got my order with chunks of meat on top. I ask for it to be redone and she argued with me that the meatless sauce was too spicy. As if she knew my tolerance for spice. I received my plate after my family was done complete with runny eggs and dried out rice. The only saving grace was the price. I did not have to pay a fortune for food that was not edible. The reviews had us eager to try this place. I am unsure where the reviewers are from and what they're accustomed to; but this was honestly the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I would've preferred a frozen Mexican meal. The salsa should've been the first clue. It's blended tomatoes for the mild and they may have thrown in a jalapeno into the "hot" version. Zero flavor. The entrees were just as horrible. My beef enchiladas were wrapped in some gooey substance. I couldn't identify it and had to ask. Turns out it was flour tortillas. They had the texture and taste of burnt eggs. The ground beef had no flavor. I seriously don't think it had any seasoning at all. The cheese on the enchiladas was processed. Tasted like an imitation cheese slice. Velveeta would've been an upgrade. No one at our table was able to eat more than a couple of bites. I would avoid this place unless you're one of those people who prefers bland foods. read more

Hands down Fabiola's is the best restaurant experience we've had in a long time. We were heading to OKC and decided to take a break for dinner AFTER we passed Wichita. Wellington seemed like a good spot and we found Fabiola's by chance. From the moment we entered, the team was friendly, attentive and took care of us. The food was fast and delicious-definitely try the street tacos! It was a wonderful, yummy meal and we were back on the road in less than an hour. I guess this is Kansas Mexican food. Passing through on my way back to Texas though we'd stop for Mexican food. The mild sauce was more like cans tomatoes than hot sauce and the hot sauce was more like what I'd call medium at the most. The enchiladas were wrapped in flour not corn tortillas. This is the place to go, my favorite to eat authentic Mexican food. I ordered light entree for $7 which is 2 beef enchiladas with rice and beans. My husband ordered Chile rennos with rice and beans for $9. I stole a bite from my husband...more than once; it was that good and has a kick. I don't like leaving less than five however; I feel obligated to due it and provide a service for foodies like me. I had an okay experience, my coworker did not. My food was ala carte. It came as ordered. The taste was simple. Nothing stood out to me. Unfortunately my coworker decided to go with the buffet menu. He felt sick and knew something was off. Today another coworker visited the restaurant and also had the buffet and also felt sick. It was then we realized it must be something with the buffet. I will not suggest you eat from the buffet. Wow! Just wow. Came here after our son had a football game against Wellington. I don't think I have ever been to a restaurant where everything was perfect. The food, atmosphere, customer service. All 5 ! JJ, the waiter who served us was absolutely fantastic. Very genuine and cared about my eating choices. Being on Keto he immediately knew what to offer me. He was very educated in all the restaurants menu items. I had the low carb fajitas and omg! They were amazing! Fajita steak with a cheese sauce mixed in with bell peppers and onions. (See photos) Pico, sour cream, lettuce and avocado on the side. Everything was within my limits. The flavor of our food was fantastic. Only place my husband and I BOTH enjoyed eating at in Wellington. For the amount of food that you receive, the price is well worth it. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. Fabiola's is quite delicious. The menu has extensive choices typical of Mexican restaurants along the I 35 corridor. The enchiladas are particularly flavorful and they make great guacamole. Brandon is a terrific server. Prices are reasonable and it's usually easy to find parking. Their chips are perfunctory as is the salsa. Non-distinctive and relatively bland pseduo-Mexican food. I have been there on three seperate occasions attempting to give this place, one of the few sit down restaurants in Wellington, a chance. Either my standards are too high, or this place just isn't that good. Taco Bell is more flavorful. The wait staff is inept. I have never had my order correct on the first try. They are inattentive and surly. If you really like authentic Mexican food and you are in Wellington this is not the place for you. If you find out of the can Mexican food made with processed American cheese to your tastes - this is the place for you. read more

The restaurant has updated their menu recently and there are several great items plus many of the old favorites. When I'm there the service is good with JJ always going above and beyond. The owners and family are always present and cordial. I'm partial to this place but with good reason. Fabiolas is an excellent mexican food restaurant. they have great margaritas and an expansive menu with lots of upscale items that compete with fancy Wichita mexican restaurants. The garcia family who own and operate the restaurant are great people. they make eating there feel like your at home. The wait staff are always helpful and friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to get you what you want. they have no problems modifying any menu items to suit your exact taste and that is rare these days. The food was subpar. One member of our group ordered cheese quesadillas. The cheese was literally a Kraft single. The tortillas were dry and stale. The rice was dry. The rest of our parties food was so-so. Edible, but bland. My taco salad was so soggy and the shell was obviously not freshly fried. We complained and the waitress said something to the owner but they shrugged it off and charged us anyway. I have fond memories of this place from my childhood...the food was always delicious back then. I won't ever go back. Waste of money and calories. read more
