It's been a while since I've been in town to try the Perk. I'm really impressed and satisfied with their new menu options like avocado toast, boba, and the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. They have fun seasonal drinks as always, we enjoyed the Grave Digger and the matcha Monster Mash. The feta cranberry salad is still my favorite item, it hasn't changed over the years at all. This trip I got to enjoy a new local artist gallery on display in the group room. The barista, MacKenzie (blonde and glasses) served me both times I stopped through and was very professional and kind. Can't wait to be back again and enjoy both the new and old touches. read more

I had the Reuben with kale salad and it was incredible. The Reuben had plenty of meat and wasn't drowning in thousand island dressing. It was super good. The dressing on the kale salad is delightful! My wife had the kale salad as well with the soup of the day (tomato). Her soup was delicious. The service is great. All the workers are friendly and we were welcomed in with a smile. I have to admit that at first I was going to leave a worse review because I was standing and waiting for awhile before anyone came to serve me at the counter. However, a lovely woman came and profusely apologized. Which was very kind in this day and age where it could have gone worse if it took awhile to be served and the staff was indifferent or rude. We all have those kinds of days where it's just a mistake, so I appreciated the kindness. I got a coffee to go and it was wonderful so I'm glad I gave it a chance! Not very accommodating (they were out of breakfast burritos, so we asked they to make a breakfast sandwich using bread and they could not grasp this idea). We go to places like this all the time in Atlanta so we we excited to dind a sandwich shop. It was quiet as a tomb. No larger tables. And they were out of all of their baked goods. Needless to say we did not stay to even try the food, we just left. If I was the owner, I'd be dissapointed that my employees let a $55 bill walk out the door. read more

The restaurant is beautiful and locally owned! I had high expectations but, the young lady at the front taking our order didn't know much about the menu. I enjoyed the breakfast bowl which was filled with fresh ingredients and was absolutely a wonderful treat. My only critique would be that being from Texas I would have liked it with hot picante sauce. Drove thru Ponca Friday and Saturday and got coffee here both times! Friday I got the cold brew with a splash of milk and some lavender simple syrup. It was good! Also got a Keto ham/egg burrito & scone that I wasn't too hot about. The scone was a little doughy in the middle. It was different. They do make specialty coffees/lattes/teas so give this place a check in and grab a coffee to go! They have nice tables and areas to do homework and converse with peers. We stopped by while we were waiting to be seen next door. We weren't sure what all they had. My husband got the soup of the day which was Fiesta Chicken and I got the pulled pork sandwich with cantelope. My husband loves the soup, he said it was spicy but flavorful. I took a bite out of my sandwich and omg it was like heaven. The pulled pork was so tender and juicy and the BBQ sauce was so good and the cantelope was fresh, juicy and sweet. I normally don't leave negative reviews but I really had high hopes for this place. I walked in and stood awkwardly at the counter while employees stood in the back and stared at me. They then came to the counter to answer a phone call - still not taking my order until another employee came out (after the phone call). They then were out of the sandwich I preordered, however they were not aware they were out as they hadn't started my order yet despite it being my pickup time. The Perk is a open airy cafe. The kale salad was delicious but quite small for $7. It looked like a small side salad. The clam chowder was disappointing. It was more like gravy with potatoes and clams. The soup had a good flavor but too thick. I am not sure the cook had never had a true chowder. I was in Oklahoma for a funeral and stopped by The Perk Beverage Co. to do some work and get a snack. The atmosphere was warm and inviting on a blustery day. There were a variety of options for seating; I selected a small table near the baristas where I could also watch them work. The coffee and scone were delicious. I also tried the Caprese sandwich (my favorite) and kale salad, which were as good a sandwich and salad as any in the trendy "foodie" restaurants in Richmond, Va., where I live, or other East Coast destinations where I've traveled. Their prices are unbelievably affordable for the exceptional quality of food, service and atmosphere. This place is just recently built you could say. I've lived in Ponca for 14yrs and it was exciting to see them take an old broken down building and turn it into something this nice. It's very nice and clean always inside. The staff is always smiling and always trying to make your visit better. It's a new cafe so they are constantly trying to make things better and I appreciate that. I've had two of their good sized sandwiches (siracha turkey and caprese sandwich) both very good and come with tasty sides of chips or freeze dried okra. Which is delish. Price wise they're about right for what they offer. The iced coffee was recommended from a friend and it was very good. Smooth and not too sweet. They also offer cream sodas. So much fun. The raspberry is my personal favorite. Look forward to going more! read more
