Recently I have had to travel quite a bit and have stopped at several McDonalds across the state. The Black Mountain McDonalds won the all star award today. The drive thru line was exceptionally quick even though several people were ordering. The workers were all pleasant and speedy and my order was 100% correct. At a time when people don't seem to care about working hard and doing your best, these workers are special. Thank you for making my day and others days better! Keep up the great work! read more

Stopped in on our way out of town. Big mistake. Waited and waited for a response in Drive -Thur. Finally got someone and wow were they rude. "What do you want?" "Um well we have a question." Silence. We asked a question and they acted like we asked them to run for office. More silence. They came back rude and said a snarky response. We drove off and decided to stop at the next town instead. I now see why the reviews are what they are. Yes I know it's fast food but come on, it's not that hard to not be rude. read more

Black Mountain North Carolina owner needs to address these matters. It's Awful- Do Not Stop Here! 1:30pm and stopped for a quick bite to eat.two people were lined up to order at the counter, then me, then 2 others behind me. We waited and no one came to the order counter. A middle age employee -man - wearing a not so pristine blue McDonald's tee shirt and serving gloves came from the back and got himself a soda and walked back to the kitchen as he was touching himself. That was a red flag right there. A woman employee then walked from the eating area into the lobby area and I loudly said, "will anyone take are our orders?". The woman said something in Spanish to another worker (the manager?) . Now mind you, the all saw us lined up and waiting. The manager said "we don't take counter orders" "you need to order at the kiosk". Needless to say, the entire line left. Taco Bell was great and in the same parking lot. read more

Disappointed almost every time I stop in the morning or afternoon for lunch, they even got my order wrong twice in the same day! I stopped by this morning for 2 hash browns & a sweet tea And they handed me cold, old hash browns. I'm 8 months pregnant I took one bite out of one and then the other and they were so old there was no way I could eat them without getting sick so I just ended up throwing them away. read more

Evening staff here is 100% amazing. The manager Jessie goes above and beyond and knows what customer service is all about. I have never tipped at a fast food restaurant but I was adamant to tip the staff here. My wife got her wisdom teeth out and they had just closed when we pulled up but they went ahead and made her a frappe anyways. Friendly, professional, courteous, and amazing staff! This McDonald's need attentive help with their staff. Pulled up and just couldn't get the order correct, cheeseburger happy meal and 2 #1's, not a big order and pretty simple. Pulled up to the window and the lady got our order finally correct. Pulled to the next window, order was ALL messed up. Then the lady at that window asked if she had given us our drinks yet...nope! Called to make a reservation. Never been to a McDonalds and didn't realize they've don't take reservations. They were so gracious and kind and let us know they have a table big enough for our Group of 8. Such kind and great customer service! read more

Ordered on the kiosk and sat down. After 10 minutes, went to the counter to inquire about the status. No-one else in lobby and 4 employees standing around. The burgers were sitting ready. So much for paying attention to kiosk orders and bringing the food to the customer. Quarter pounder and Big Mac were cold. Fries were great. Tried to use the app before arriving but it would just spin and was slow so gave up. I used to love McDonald's but every time I try to give them another try it's epic fail. read more

Standard McDonald's experience however this one has a small town vibe but not in a good way. I mean they generally move pretty slow so if you are in a rush then go somewhere else. I've been going to this McDonald's for years. They rarely mess up your meal and if they do they will usually compliment you with something free like a small fri or a frosty. read more

Yesterday, driving home from Tennessee to Chapel Hill NC, I stopped at this McDonald's for a wee rest and refreshment. I had my heart set on a mocha coffee. The nice young woman at the counter told me their machine was down, so I ask for an ice cream cone, and unfortunately they were waiting for the same repairman to come fix both. She obviously felt very sorry about it. I was ready to go on to the next McDonald's, when they offered me, unsolicited, a large delicious mocha frappe, free of charge. This is the kind of gesture that helps make me believe again in human goodness. And it made my otherwise very sad day (Trump's inauguration) a little less awful. I appreciated it so much, and will stop there on my next trip to Tennessee! read more

Consistently slow. Unreasonably slow. As in, wait 30+ minutes in the drive-thru. I have attempted to eat here multiple times in the past few months, and it is always slow, regardless of time of day. read more
