Absolutely HORRIBLE. Used the app to order thinking that would save time. Waited in the drive thru for 30 min before I decided to change my order to pickup at the counter. I got an order number and tried to go inside and IT IS LOCKED. Had to get back in line in the drive thru and sat another 15 min before someone finally came to the speaker. I gave them my drive thru code AND my counter number. Finally got my food 50 minutes after I ordered it. Fries are cold, nuggets and sandwiches are luke warm at best. The lady at the window told me there are only 2 working. WHY STAY OPEN? VERY poor customer service and mediocre food. read more

Idk who manages this McDonalds, but whoever does needs to be fired, cuz ever since the renovation, things just haven't been the same. Mainly, the afternoon employees, they are scared or just unable to deal with school-age children who either want to hang out with friends and eat or start a fight in the bathroom. Whenever there is a fight, instead of the manager taking corrective action themselves (like locking the dining room door during the afternoons,) they instead call the principal of the school I go to, expecting they will be able to take corrective action, and that the manager won't have to do anything. Oh, and did I forget? They always threaten about school-age children not being allowed to go to McDonalds anymore... They must be so desperate now... because I just visited this exact McDonalds about a half hour ago, and I literally saw 8 no loitering signs. 2 of them the manager made that are green, and they must've just ordered 6 more from corporate to put on the walls, because I have not seen those signs the last time I visited, I only saw the 2 green ones. These signs literally ruin the whole atmosphere. This is why I try my best to avoid this location at all costs. This location has been renovated in the last 6ish months and the space itself is clean. Bathrooms are tidy and trash isn't overflowing. Staff while we were there were clearly working hard but the line was on the long side so it took a bit longer than I'd typically expect from a fast food spot. We didn't order a smoothie but we heard them say the machine for the smoothies wasn't working and it appeared to be a common issue at this McDonald's, so I would also expect ice cream machine issues are common as well. Staff we interacted with were helpful, but I will say while I wouldn't say they were rude it was obvious the short staffing issue is wearing on their enthusiasm. Overall a pretty average McDonald's. read more

This McDonald's has been here for as long as I can remember, it's right next to the high school so it's pretty busy at peak times. One thing a lot of people don't know about this McD's is that Muhammad Ali used to frequent it when he lived in the area, I remember at one point they had a huge display of his career to honor him. It's always clean and usually your orders get prepped pretty fast, and the food itself is well prepared unlike some McD's where they just seem slapped together. Last time I was in there I ordered in the app ahead of time and had an issue with my promo, shout out to my guy Andy who helped me fix the problem. read more

Most, if not all of their sandwiches are very good every time. However, their fries are almost always underdone or not fresh at all. Every time. If i don't specifically ask them to make my fries fresh and tell them that i don't mind waiting a bit longer, they'll be soggy and squishy. Update: 1 year later and nothing has changed. Ordered a quarter pounder WITHOUT cheese (I'm allergic). When I got home and opened the burger, it has cheese on BOTH sides of the burger. Complete waste of money. i've been waiting in my mobile order spot for 30 minutes now, this is mcdonald's a fast food restaurant. i would understand if i had a very complicated drastic order i simply have one small fry, one large fry, apple slices, and a medium sprite. it's very common for fast food workers ti be short staffed but to be short staffed and move this slow just to fail to get me my food on time and i see someone taking a smoke break??? choosing lung cancer over a job that's paying you to serve customers as quick. Called back for franchise owner number, she said look at receipt, didn't get one, she said too busy hung up again. Called back, she said I wanted to talk to her sexually, she kept calling me baby. I did a mobile order like I always do no problem.but then the waiting game begins .I sat out in my car for 30 minutes and no one came so I went in and had to yell because no one would acknowledge that I was standing there. I told the manager I was waiting on a mobile order she said that they don't have any in there computer so it didn't go thur but they took the money .she said there was nothing she could do the bank would refund my card with in 24 hours.i said bs I'm not leaving with out my money or food .so she made my food which was messy. I go to this McDonald more than I should admit, lol We live out of town by my kids go to school in town, so I do a lot of sitting and soaking up refills and wifi. My high school daughter can feel safe walking there to wait for me and get a snack or a meal if I'm running late. They have lots of teens before games and evening activities and they treat them just as good as adults. The staff are friendly and work hard . I like that the recognize us and the place is always clean. The food is always as ordered. read more

Absolutely filthy. The drive through windows were disgusting. The speaker too. Only had vanilla shakes. Way below standards. Hair hanging in girls faces. Some kind of horseplay between staff. I gave my $20 bill for payment. After waiting quite sometime the girl returned and said her manager would not take the bill because it had no water mark or security line. I just went to the bank to break down $100 bills. Because nobody wants to take them. I told the girl I had other bills. The manager was standing behind her saying something I couldn't understand as she never talked with me. She left that to a young girl. You need to educate your employees. The bill was from 1995. There are no water marks in a bill that old however, it does and did have the security strip. I now understand why the restaurant was not busy and Taco Bell was hopping. I talked to a lady this morning. She was pleasant. I just felt someone in upper management should know this restaurant is filthy on the outside. I can only imagine what the inside looks like. I am from out of town. I won't be surprised if this restaurant is closed down on my next trip through. read more

It is truly astounding as to the frequency of the orders that they somehow manage to get wrong, but today takes the cake and prompts this long overdue review. Today, at 2:30 in the afternoon, I waited 15 minutes in line for 2 Quarter Pounders with Cheese. I might...MIGHT...expect this long a wait at a PEAK time, but again it's the Berrien Springs McDonald's, where nothing bad is entirely unexpected. After getting home and opening my burgers, I was astonished to find that no CHEESE had been put on 2 Quarter Pounders WITH CHEESE. I ordered both w/o onions which, miraculously, was correct. While I realize that they don't employ the best and brightest...can reading comprehension be so poor amongst their staff that they cannot properly apply CHEESE to a QUARTER POUNDER WITH CHEESE? McDonald's in Berrien accommodates my gluten-free diet; it is a place for us to watch news because we don't have TV at home; it is a place to meet others from town over coffee; a place to go when the Internet is down at home; and a place to get an inexpensive senior decaf coffee! McDonald's is a general meeting place. Occasionally the place is a bit too loud for me, but it is not intolerable. This McDonald's, and other McDonalds', is my place to go when convenience is necessary. read more

I always go through the drive thru. I don't go there often but over the years they make the same mistake of putting cheese of my Sandwich after I have ordered no cheese. I am lactose intolerant and this is a major problem without tablets not just an inconvenience. If I ever go there again I will tie up the drive thru and make sure they have it right before I move on. They always mess up my order, interrupt me when I order drive thru, and managers always have a problem when I complain about the service. Once I went to drive thru a few minutes before they were about to shut down and the car in front of me was taking forever to order. Once I reached the window they told me they could not take my order because it was after midnight. What bullshit! I was in line before midnight and I was the last car. Really? And to top it off it was Saturday, if they don't like their job they can quit. Another occasion I order a large meal. I looked in my bag before leaving and they gave me medium-sized fries. I knocked on they window before leaving and showed them they gave me the wrong size fries and the manager argues with me for about 2 minutes saying she swears she put a large size and that I switched it because it was monopoly peel off. Really? That is crazy. I even told her lets go inside and I wanted to see the video camera and show her she didn't put the right size fries in my bag but she refused. Finally after many minutes of exchanging a few smart, snotty comments she finally gave them to WITHOUT saying " have a great afternoon and sorry for the misunderstanding". If I could I would rate a negative. I live in berrien springs and have to drive to niles whenever I want McDonald's because I refuse to ever go to the one here in town. read more
