We usually stop at this McDonald's on our road trips between Idaho and western Washington. This past week was the first time I think I have ever been inside. Disgusting dirty. First off let me say a female manager was standing outside on her phone when we arrived. I went in to use restroom and pick up my mobile order. The entrance that is closest to the restrooms had a very dirty door with handprints and smudges all over the glass looking like it hadn't been cleaned for several days. Women's bathroom had no toilet paper in one stall and the trash bin was overflowing with feminine products..... apparently they do not take the trash out every day for it to be overflowing with very nasty trash on the floor in that stall. When I came out of the bathroom, that female manager who was previously outside was standing right outside the female bathroom, so I mentioned it needed some assistance. When I picked my food up at the counter the floor in the lobby looked like it hadn't been swept in recent days and the front door right there had very dirty glass with fingerprints and smudges all over it. I returned to my car and my family member who was with me was waiting for their curbside delivery. I noticed that female manager and two male employees were now standing outside at the end of the building, smoking cigarettes, and looking on their cell phones. We were there for approximately 25 minutes and that manager was outside that entire time all the while the food establishment was filthy. If they can't take the time to take the trash out and put toilet paper in a bathroom and wipe off the dirty doors I don't think I can trust them to keep the food prep area sanitary either. We will not ever be eating at that McDonald's again.. read more

As we were traveling, we had to pull over to this McDonald's to get some lunch. They said they don't have any salads available at this location. I asked at least if they have some grilled chicken but they said they don't even serve that. read more

Review is for drive-thru only. Service was quick and friendly! Two lane ordering helps with efficiency. Ordered the #1 & #2 breakfast meals. Food was hot and delicious as always, and they remembered to include napkins in the bag! Would recommend this location! read more

A few bad apples is no reason not to visit the orchard --Lauren Weisberger 10th person to review this McDonalds located in the historic small town of less than 10k-- Baker City. Easy on and off of I-84. This is my 441st review. I visit this McDonalds close to three times a year while sending or receiving kids to their best friends house 4 hours away, and have done so for six years. It's our halfway point and easy to get to. I have yet to have a good experience. The customer service is what is lacking here-- big time. Perhaps with a small pool to chose from, the customer service "skills" are lacking and hard to teach. I watched my daughter go to the register, shes 16, and order. The order taker was nice, but when she was handed her food, it was tossed to her with no thank you, no come again nothing. My kid then asked nicely, "May I please have some sweet & sour sauce"? The lady rolled her eyes and again tossed one at her, well onto the counter. There was a 20 piece nugget! ONE sauce! Anyway, as a parent, my blood began to boil, but it was a teaching moment. I simply asked for more, explaining that we have 20 nuggets and 4 kids were going to eat off that. Anyway, that's only one example. I have a few photos that show how the food has been prepared (poorly). In sum, it seems that this particular restaurant, or franchise perhaps, is lacking in customer service and the actual care for the customer's experience. The bathroom is outdated and gross. The inside of the establishment is very nice and the outside is, too. I think they spared money on the bathrooms. I'd like to see some team building here. Teach that customers pay their paycheck. I get that it's a McDonalds, but even the big dogs fall. I feel like this particular McDonalds is one bad apple and there are some exceptional locations out there. read more

Its close to the highway which is good. Went thru drive through on the way to sumpter. Happy meal didn't have sauce or fries... Come on. You can't screw up that bad. Then the second window said we didn't pay for the frappe produced the receipt that said otherwise and the chick said I gave you one. Hello you said we didn't PAY for it. Ugh. This was a ten minute ordeal. Our kids behind us went thru the same thing at the second window and then listened to the gal get chewed out by someone. Lady manager was good but man helper screwed up on everything from accurate order, proper change, to lack of napkins and condiments. Horrible experience. Night manager was an F**king hag. We drove 18 hours in under 36 hour for a funeral, and our way home were hungry. It was 9:00 at night, and not a lot was open that wasn't bbq burritos and mini tacos. The poor cashier got confused because we had a big order (big family). And some was messed up. Totally understandable, I was talking to him about it and explained what he missed (it happened to mine and one of my sisters sandwiches) and told him it was ok, he didn't need to replace all of it, just the one sandwiches for my sister. As I was walking away, he offered to replace all of. And the manager, VERY VERY VERY RUDELY said "if she wants it, then she can come back and re-order it." We didn't have any other issues other then the dumb hag of the night manager. This all occurred 3/23/18. Sadly I didn't get her name or I'd call and complain. The guy who brought out the couple of replacement sandwiches was delightful as he sang and brought our tray out like an airplane. You do you boo-boo. Food is as good as any McDonalds. However, their cashier makes mistakes (plural) and the manager makes the customer pay for their staff member's errors. Wish I could conduct my business that way! :( read more

On multiple occasions I have received out-dated food. One time, I received it in Baker City through the drive through and was half way to La Grande before I noticed the cinnamon rolls were 4 days out dated - disgusting and hard. This was not the first time - sometimes they remove the date tags. I quit eating there all together. But this morning I decided to try it again. Before I left the drive through I looked at my purchase, and the sell by date on the cinnamon rolls was two days overdue. Gross... Everything used to be really good at this McDonald's until a manager by the name of Mike was hired. This guy likes to pretend he's the owner. I ordered water from the area by the drive up because when you go to the other spouts the water is hooked up to carbonated soda or some kind of a drink that bleeds into the water. He grabbed a cup went around the counter in front of customers got the water and shoved it under my face to show me that there was no bleeding Powerade in that cup. I said to him maybe not this time but usually they're always is I thought we were allowed to request anything customer was always right at least the commercials on TV said that but is no longer true. This guy is obnoxious and rude when I complain to headquarters they promised to take it up with the head guy and they never do. McDonald's thinks you're just going to forget all about it. They don't care about their customers they only want your money in your pocket. They need to fire him but they won't McDonald's doesn't care how any of their employees treat the customers and to prove my point read the other reviews there's other better places to go to McDonald's I will never go there again.
