This review is for the drive-thru only. Ordered the fish tacos and stuffed mexi-fries. Both were delicious! The fish tacos (actually rolled up like a burrito) were WAY better than expected. They come with battered cod, coleslaw and a salsa fresco...so yummy! The stuffed mexi-fries were like tator tots stuffed with cheese and chopped jalapeños. They were good too...way more flavor than the regular mexi-fries. They can be pretty slow for a drive-thru, but I assumed that meant they were making fresh food ;-) read more

I pulled up to the drive in window and smoke was boiling out of my 27 year old van and I'm 70. The worker who helped me was Samantha and she said my car was smoking because I didn't have any water. She said to pull around and she'd be right out. I did and she said I didn't have and anti freeze either, but she had container. She put water in and anti freeze and said I could drive it home. (she was right I drove it home. She was very knowledgeable about the food she served and cars. Thanks to her I made it home with no further problems. We stopped at this Taco Time to buy a couple of tacos, before gassing up and getting back on the road. We were very upset we did -- what a huge disappointment! Question, if you are the only customer in a fast food restaurant and want to buy one item, how long do you think it should take? Two, five, eight, ten minutes? If you've guessed fifteen minutes, then you win the booby prize. Yep, fifteen minutes! I wish I could say that was an exaggeration, but it's not. Now we love Taco Time from our years of living in the Northwest. Besides the unexplained long wait, the food was warm, not hot and tasted bland. Nothing like what we've enjoyed in the past. Sadly, we had remembered this location from one of our many trips and were looking forward to the stop and filling that craving for several miles. Don't you try and fool me with your fancy names! Those "Mexican fries" are nothing other than tater tots! So when exactly is taco time? For me it's almost always, but for this particular location it should be after 2:00am. This is drunk-quality food served during the daylight hours. In that vein, it's also really expensive, relative to quality. my meal ended up being like $9, with a burrito, the aforementioned "Mexican Fries" and a large soda. We were pretty disappointed. There's not a lot going on in Baker City, and our other drive-thru options were only McDonalds and Subway. We opted to try some regional fast food instead, but when it has you longing for Taco Bell, that's a bad sign indeed. read more

Each Taco Time is a bit different than any other - not terribly different - but, for example in this one, they have a salsa bar with 2 trays of green salsa, chopped red salsa (tomatos, onions, etc.). Fresh tea that's extra-good by Taco Time standards. They are open seven days a week. They are a couple blocks west of I-84 on Campbell Avenue, on the south side of the street. read more

Food was cooked and prepared fine. Mexi fries were not mexi fries. Just unseasoned tots. Definitely don't know how they are still open. Soda was flat. Outside looks really shady. I walked into this one and expressed dismay that they no longer make Taco Burgers. The person behind the counter said "WE STILL DO!!!!" Apparently, the ones in Washington State no longer serve this, but according to the counter person, the ones in Idaho and Oregon still do. Taco Burger was as I expected, but the bun was kind of dry. This is THE WORST Taco Tome I have ever eaten at. My husband and I were traveling through town and decided to stop at taco time in Baker city. We waited over 15 minutes for our order. We thought that the long the wait would be worth it because we thought we would have fresh food. Where as I always enjoy the food from Taco Time, the prices at this location beyond extravagant, My boyfriend and I purchased 4 items (1 soft bean, 1 crisp meat, 1 crisp chicken, stuffed mexi fries) and our total was 15.05. I have seen cheaper Taco Time prices in a mall and they are usually always higher there than any other stand alone locations..... Whenever I drive to Boise I stop at this place since it's a nice logical stop between Seattle and Boise at lunch time. This location serves the best Taco Time food I've tasted-extremely fresh and tasty. The people are always nice and make you feel at home. That's tough to say about other national chains. read more

The funniest thing about Taco Time is there are no tacos on the menu, except the #4 which is 2 "beef" tacos with mexi-fries (tots) and a drink. There is a burrito category, nachos, quesadillas, etc... all of which you can choose chicken, beef & pork... but no taco category. When I asked if an get chicken tacos she said yes, but I still got beef, if you can even call it that. I don't typically eat beef but I was hungry and was going to settle, I can tell you taco bell has way better "beef" and there's is nasty too. They exchanged it with little problem. When I watched them prepare it, they microwave the chicken... pretty funny since she just told me they custom make everything for you. Ya, umm, no thanks.
