We decided we were tired of the national chains and wanted to do something local. A quick scan of the Yelp app and we were headed for Burger Bobs! We arrived to a charming old time burger stand. No tables inside or out, you either take it with you or tailgate. The owner warned us it would be about 25 minutes for food because they were backed up. We deeply appreciated the warning! Tired of the road we decided to wait and do some walking around. The Tax Deduction ordered the Steak Fries and I decided to try the Super Burger with fries. The menu is really complete, everything you can think of, see the photos. Talking to the owners we learned this building started as a Arctic Circle burger joint in 1960. They seem to be the second owners of the building. There is evidence of their support for local community events and schools on the walls and windows, which I think is awesome. Our food was great, we really loved the fresh fries and the burger was perfect in every way. The steak fries were loaded with steak chunks and had plenty of fries. It is a ways off the Interstate, you have to be looking for this place, and willing to eat in the elements or in the car. But, if you choose to, you will be rewarded with great service, great food and owners who truly appreciate the business.

The taquitos were, by far, the best I've had. The corn tortillas were shatteringly thin delicious cocoons for the flavorful breast meat inside. The accompanying guacamole was divine! Only $12.00 FOR FIVE! The wrap is similar to the Taco Bell Crunchwrap but SO MUCH BETTER! You get your choice of meat, beans, cheese, hot sauce heat level, and more. They have daily specials. Be sure to check out the specials board before you order. The seating area inside is quite small, but there are a few tables outside the entry in the historic entry way to the Baker City Hotel. Take a few minutes to peruse the photos that depict the beautiful history of the building and enjoy some of the best Mexican food in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.

Best, most flavorful milkshake I have had in a very long time. Mine was coffee with some chocolate syrup. My husband got raspberry chocolate, which was a raspberry base with little raspberry-filled chocolate pieces that melted creamy in your mouth. He let me try some at the bottom of his cup. We will be back next time we make this trip! It was well worth the slight detour into downtown Baker City off I-84.

A mix between a general store, convenience store, outdoors store, and hardware store, but also with lots of guns for sale. A real American place. We weren't expecting the large food selection there and we had just eaten breakfast, otherwise we definitely would have digged in. There was a good selection of fried foods, but they also had a robust sandwich menu. We were able to get our DEET and a couple other small items. If you need a place for a quick bite and you're by Baker City, York's is definitely the spot.

There are a couple tables outside and beautiful potted flowers in the front, it's quite welcoming. Walking in, we were instantly greeted. We got sat in a small room that had a couple tables. It was separated from the main dining area. I appreciate the room we were in cause it created more of a personnal environment for my friend and I. The room was bright and vibrant. I love the big windows, it gave us a great view. I did check out the menu online. I noticed they had lobster manicotti. I was sold! Pasta, lobster and sauce, you can't get better than that! We breezed through the menus again while our drinks were getting taken care of. As many times as I looked the menu over and over again, I couldn't find the lobster manicotti. The waitress confirmed that they didn't offer it anymore. Such a bummer cause it was the only thing that really caught my eye. For dinner I settled for the chicken fontana with the pesto sauce on the side. I also got alfredo as my side since it was an option. I like that they give you pasta options as a side besides your typical fries and salad. Our meals came out super hot. I got a beautiful piece of chicken and a nice portion of alfredo. I can tell the pasta was freshly made, I was pretty close to burning my mouth cause of hot it was. The sauce on the pasta was rich and creamy. I did add a little salt and pepper to it, it needed just a pinchmore salt. The chicken was flavorful! Whatever they used as a crust on the chicken, it was nice! I used some of the alfredo sauce to dip the chicken in. The chicken was good but it was also kinda dry and there wasn't much cheese in the middle. The alfredo sauce really was needed. Our sweet server got a piece of the peanut butter cheesecake for my friend's birthday. She also put a birthday candle on the cheesecake for her. Little gestures like that are the best. The cheesecake was delicious! It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. It had a good amount of chocolate on top. There were pieces roasted peanuts in the cheesecake that added a nice crunchy texture to it. It's a must have. Lattitude 45 was packed when we were leaving. Clearly they are doing something right. Service was great. The venue is beautiful. They produce good food. I'm happy we got to check this joint out and celebrate my friend's birthday here.
