Many many products that you can stock up for that trip. We needed water, gas cylinders, & other camping supplies. They had every thing we needed & more. Near the main roads, so quick on & off highway... then back to the trip. Staff were friendly, building clean, lots of inventory, plenty of quality products. Well worth the stop.

While I got turned around in the store a bit (all aisles seem like they are jumbled compared to other Safeway stores that seem to have more of a consistent floor plan with each other.) But it was okay, just meant we wandered around the store a bit more to find what we wanted. We were shopping at about 9pm, just before the store closed. Not too many people, only one person in line in front of us. Check out was fast and efficient. The clearance section in the back of the store was impressive! Not just a shopping cart clearance like most stores we've been too. Instead it's a hall way and corner lined with shopping carts and short shelves full of clearanced products. Awesome! We didn't buy any of the clearance items this trip but it was fun to look. All and all, it was a pleasant shopping experience and we found what we were shopping for: bottled water, fruit and cheez-its crackers!

I DO have an issue with the management practice of thinking it is acceptable to have ONE cashier on duty at any given time. Yesterday I left my cart and walked out after arriving at checkout and observing a projected 20 minute wait ahead. Seriously, one cashier at 8:45 on a weekday morning??! I've seen this on multiple occasions and let it slide since I wasn't pressed for time. But cmon Safeway, you show a real disrespect for your customers by this third rate service! Boooooo!

We personally called and begged Savon corporate to hire and get this under control, but they obviously did not hire enough and their lack of organization has absolutely killed their ability to be useful and effective. Now they lose prescriptions and can't seem to follow through on anything and I still get an answer machine or mailbox full message 9 out of 10 calls. For the longest time, if you hit the option "for rut aid customers" someone would pick up, because apparently they are more important than regular customers, but that no longer makes a difference. While the main pharmacist is a very nice lady, the other lady that works there routinely takes out her frustrations on customers like me. I would love to have the drive through back, but we reached our limit on failures and lost prescriptions so we're driving an extra 20 minutes to Walmart in La Grande from now on. They answer their phone, and all of them are kind and courteous, not just the pharmacist. We hated to go, cause we really liked the pharmacist here, but we just can't keep working through all the mistakes anymore. Corporate obvious doesn't care and did not realize that nearly tripling the customer base that quickly requires a different management framework than existed there before. To this day it's still obvious these folks are stressed out and overworked and Savon just doesn't give a rip about them. Savon is showing that all they want to do is continue to soak the current situation until the increased profits dry up and to heck with their workers.

The technician again very friendly and courteously listen to me and referred me to the pharmacist. The Pharmacist again very friendly and courteous and professional listen to to me and took me to a shelf in the front shop and showed me a good product which she explained to me how to use and then returned to the Pharmacy. All in all a very positive uplifting experience, my problem was solved in a very courteous, friendly professional way, which reflects on the way the pharmacy was must've been run I. I highly recommend visiting lens Pharmacy if you have any health or Pharmacy related needs when in John Bend. The front shop of the Pharmacy is huge and well stocked, I'm certain that anything you might need either Pharmacy related or more you'll find in the store. My experience with a Pharmacist tells me you'll find all you need prescription wise or more at the pharmacy as well. It looked very neat from the outside And very impressive. It was like being in a big box Pharmacy in the cities, but with the an added personal service and Care and friendliness that I have yet to experience at any of the other pharmacies. The value of this experience in dollars and in effort was definitely excellent. The price of the medication that I bought was also very reasonable.

The staff is rude except for one individual, if you live in John Day Oregon, avoid this store at all costs. The pharmacist did not introduce herself who she was and did not say hello or nothing at all, when i went inside to get vaccinated. A patient has rights and this Medical Professional called a Pharmacist was the worse pharmacist ive ever came across. She had an attitude because she was asked if she could pull the medicine out of the bottle in front of the patient? This is common practice in other states and the Pharmacists never had a problem doing this, because how do i know what was placed in that syringe, it could have been a placebo for all I know. I have a right to know whatr is being placed in my body and i can tell she had an attitude about it! Furtthermore, it is the job of the pharmacist to ask the patient after getting vaccinated are you ok, are you feeling ok, can i assist you with anything before you leave, none of those things was stated by this Pharmacist, she had the audacity to tell one of the clerks, oh you can go now? What a joke, worse example of bedside manners i've ever seen from a Medical Professional, and she made me nervous, i saw her hands shaken while pullling the medication out of the bottle, don't know what that was about at all, if you don't like your job, then do something else. But that is ok, because God Almighty sees the things we humans do right and wrong towards others, and if i can see all the wrong with this Pharmacist, i bet my life God does as well. Upon getting the vaccine, i was instructed to wait 15 minutes in case if i had a allergic reaction, thank God i did not because i would not trust that Pharmacist to do anything with her nasty demeanor and unprofessional conduct, she should be reported for her actions and I may take that up with the Licensing Board to inform them how unprofessional this Pharmacist is! As i was instructed, i waited in the waiting room of the pharmacy for 15 minutes awaiting to see if the pharmacist would come out and ask how am i feeling and are you ok, but that did not happen at all. There was another pharmacist talking to this pharmacist and he was standing next to the pharmacist who gave me the vaccine, and she pops her head up and looked at me and at that point, she tells a staff member i can leave now rather than tell me that herself and she did not bother to ask if i was ok, and it is a damn shame other customers have to deal with pharmacist and staff like this, this is the only pharmacist in this town, this town deserves better, i fee bad for this community, they can do a lot better than this!
