Easily the worst McDonald's in Aurora. If you have the time just go down the road a min or two to the one by waubonsie valley high instead. I live across the way and always deal with bad service but still return out of convenience. Last night was just, enough. I was behind a vehicle in the first lane. I was waiting for a good 10mins before the car in front finally moved and sped off out of the line entirely. Confused, I pulled up to the speaker and waited to be assisted. A worker comes out and puts cones behind my car and tells the biker behind me to go into the other lane to order. She didn't come up to explain what was going on so I assumed I was fine. Waited, still no one to take my order while people in the second lane are just passing by with their orders being placed. I decide to pull up to the window instead to maybe just take my order there since clearly that speaker was down. After an additional 20 mins of waiting I finally make it to the window. The employee tells me they can't take my order and that I would have to get back into the line (that was now wrapping around the building and into the parking lot by then). I told them I had already waited 30min but they didn't care and refused to assist in any other way. I guess it's my fault for waiting 30+ mins for a sundae but it was late and all I wanted while I worked my night shift LOL. Anyways. I called and the "manager" answered the phone. I expressed my concerns and she just left me on hold and didn't say a word. So of course, I just hung up and went to the one near waubonsie. Was in and out of that one in less than two mins. I stopped into this McDonald's for a quick snack and everything was as to be expected. I used the drive-thru only, but it was well maintained, the staff was friendly, and the food was served hot and fresh. This location is exactly what you want from a McDonald's: the old reliable, there-when-you-need-them Mickey D's that serves up the food you are expecting in a quick and efficient manner. This location is actually on my way to friend's house so I can see myself stopping here in the future. I'd recommend the same if you're looking for a McDonald's. read more

I came to this McDonalds looking for a great time with friends and food. It started out alright, we got some McChickens and everything was going great. But after some overly salty fries, we were quite parched. So I returned to get some water in the Drive-Thru and knowing how the outdated technology works, we THOUGHT we just ordered some water. Boy was we wrong... Getting to the drive-through window, we were asked to pay $3 for 2 cups of water and we said that we were not asking for Bottled Waters. After 5 minutes of silence, we get handed two cups of water without straws and one of the employees, who seemed to be the manager, rudely told us off that we said bottled water in the Drive-Thru. We did not, but even if we did the mistake, was it that big of a deal to get yelled at for 2.5 minutes over bottled water? We just ordered some food right before so it wasn't like we were looking for a handout. To top it all off we still never ended up getting any straws to drink the water. However, our whole experience was saved by how insanely refreshing the water was. It was so good we began sucking it out of the little hole that the straw is supposed to go into (see picture below). Once we got home, we poured the water into cups and drank it. Leave it to Mcdonalds to make even their water truly exceptional. read more

You guys, it's a McDonald's so I will review it as such. The four stars isn't because I think McDonald's is the best place I've ever eaten, but I will say I am a fan of this location. I don't frequent here often, but every now and then I either get a craving for comfort food or I have an extra busy day and get so hungry that I cave for a quick Mickie D's drive through meal. I've never had an issue with my order at this location. Truthfully, I've never been inside because I prefer to eat my McDonald's in shame in my car -- kidding (kind of)! But in all honestly the drive through is always fast and efficient. Leaving the business area that this McDonald's is in is only easy to do if you're going north on Eola or east on New York. Otherwise, it's kind of a pain to head south which is what I need to do to get home. The food speaks for itself as I assume everyone has been to a McDonald's. I really don't know what they put in those little cheeseburgers or the fries (aside from a sh*t ton of salt), but it's addictively good. Sausage egg McMuffins and McGriddles are a win in my book too. Careful with their iced coffees... they put a lot of milk and the "flavorings" they have are extremely sweet. Unless you ask for your coffee black, expect it to look almost like milk. I just want to say that I don't give any McDonald's location over 3 stars. The chain, as a whole, is flawed. That being said, my husband and I stopped here for some food/beverages before we hit the road to Indiana. My hot chocolate was hot, the perfect kind of hot so I could sip and not wince. Star earned. This used to be my neighborhood McDonald's, so I've been here more than once. I don't recall any issues with ordering. Star earned. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a hot mess unless you want to go north on Eola Road. This is a great location for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant has been recently renovated and looks very modern! The parking lot and the outside is very well kept and tidy. The dining area is always super clean! I really like that they now have kiosks to order food quickly inside or to go. The interactive menu is very easy to follow and paying for your food is very easy! The menu items now include the Worldwide Favorites. My new favorite item is the Stroopwaffel McFlurry and the Quarter Pounder McExtreme from Spain. These are served very quickly and I have enjoyed the new flavors each time. The crew is super friendly and attentive to special or made to order requests. I have three young children who enjoy their Happy Meals and when we visit during lunch or dinner they usually get their toy of choice and a balloon to go! The hospitality there really makes a positive difference and makes us want to return for more special moments together. My wife is a fan of the new slushees and the Coke one is her favorite. Recently I tried on myself and it was awesome especially with the warmer weather we are having. When you are out and about, visit this location! the drive thru is super quick and I have not had any issues with anything I've ordered. It's very apparent that the crew's focus is on getting orders correct each time. I highly recommend this local (and global) favorite! read more

Anyhow, tonight after a long night at the hospital with my daughter I was extremely exhausted and thirsty and planned on grabbing a Dr. Pepper and large water. This McD's recently received a remodel so the outside features much cleaner and modern lines. The staff here have never made a mistake, which is a record in my personal, drive-thru experience. I am not a big fan of drive-thru or fast food but this is a good standby in a pinch. Plus, I'm really happy they have healthier options like the southwest grilled chicken salad that uses the same chicken from the chili chicken wrap. Both my favorites. And they also have the chocolate-dipped ice cream cone, so that ain't bad. read more

The food is what you'd expect from McDonalds, but the service is awful. No matter when I go, it always takes a long time to get my food. While the food usually matches what's on my receipt, it's never what I order. If I order a meal, all I get is the sandwich. If I order two of something, I get one. I looked forward to having a McDonald's so close to home, but it's been nothing but a disappointment. First time no indication provided that one of the drive-thru speakers was not working, at LUNCH TIME (my lane). 20 MINUTES, later um-team cars to navigate through, we go inside. Great service was given! Second time, same day. I used the app for our order this time. Upon finalizing, the app says, THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED. Although I was right in front of this location, Eola/New York St. Aurora IL. Sooooo I go inside trying to get help, also to inform a manager that the site is showing this location is CLOSED. He, didn't appear to care that customers were being directed to another McDonald's. Mr. Martel, only acknowledged me to say, "I'm on break". Mr. Martel, said this multiple times. Before telling another team member to assist me. Mr. Martel needs more training. McDonald's as corporation has a high level of customer service. This alleged manager is setting a poor example for our youth who will be seeking employment opportunities. And for the staff there who may have observed his RUDE and SELFISH behavior. It was not apparent I guess, that I was trying to assist that store. Its own app was directing customers to another location. I know it's the law to have breaks and lunches. I went to this McDonald's around 12:45 am after a concert and was decently busy. One of their lanes were closed and someone then tried to cut in front of the line before realizing no one went in the lane for a reason. That person then reversed as did the car behind it. The car behind the original car then rammed into a parked car and speed off. I was in the middle of a long line so I then waited till I got to the ordering box to notify an employee because I had thought maybe it was an employee car since they were closed on the inside so there was no other reason for a car to be parked and empty outside. The lady was not grasping what I was saying and I became irritated I then pulled forward to the window to fully notify the employee and she literally gave no shits! She interrupted me several times and told me she saw nothing and she wasn't going to do anything. I then told her that I thought it was an employee's car and that if it were my car, I'd at least like to know. She was still very rude and wouldnt even let me finish anything I was saying because SHE. DID. NOT. CARE. If I could give a 0 star for guest experience I would. I was just trying to inform an employee that a crime had happened In their parking lot and property, and that they should know. But again, she did NOT care. I personally work food and never give workers a hard time but that was the one time I will ever be opening blunt and rude back to a worker. May I note, she was only interested till I described the car and then she probably realized it wasn't her car. So I guess she thought it wasn't her problem. I have been going to this McDonald's for Months. I went in there and was refilling my drink. One of the Managers Jan came up to me and Said with an Attitude "You have to Pay for that!" I stated "really?" I wasn't going to walk out... Then she starts with a real negative attitude. I call her out on what she says then starts mumbling under her breath. The funny thing is I just got done working out so I was in my sweats. But everyday I'm in Uniform. I went to the register to complete my order and asked for the Redheads name and the girl on the register was just as ignorant and rude.
