I have heard so many good things about Atrevete from family and friends that I knew I've always wanted to stop by and try it out for myself. I actually ended up going last weekend to get a pastry, the scones and the pain au chocolates are phenomenal. Today I went back to get more pastries and try out their coffee that everyone raves about! I got more scones, pain au chocolat's, and some cookies. For coffee, I opted for a hot Mexican latte with oat milk. Oh my LORD is this so good and unique. I literally cannot stop thinking about this drink and when I'll be stopping there next. I also want to mention how nice the staff is there, and the owner/pastry chef is very kind as well. If you're not in the area, they also have a food truck at the Aurora outlet mall! Please check out Atrevete if you're in the area!

    Fresh and delicious!

Fresh made pastries... need I say more? It's not a huge variety like you'd see at a larger bakery but you can get wonderful coffee to go with your pastry. I am partial to the almond croissant and their quiche, stop by check their flavors of the day. The french macarons are also delish, and love to pick those up as a gift for friends. While the weather is nice come and enjoy your pastries and coffee outside on their cute patio! They are not open every day, so make sure you check which day of the week it is. :D

My friend and I found this place today and wow! What a great discovery! We loved our food (Mexican hot chocolate and scones -- pumpkin chocolate chip for me, almond cranberry white chocolate for her), and the ambiance is also nice, with small tables or a big L-shaped plum colored couch under the front window. Staff was friendly and helpful. What a delightful treat on a snowy day. Be aware that there are some high stairs to get up to the front door.

Cutest little hole in wall downtown Montgomery. The cakes and pastries are amazing! I'm so happy I found this little gem!

Tried the pistachio, raspberry vanilla, and coffee macaroons with a hazelnut oatmilk latte and I loved it. The macaroons were so flavorful, colorful and soft! Such a cute little spot for a pick me up. A small neighborhood gem

This place is amazing!!! The macarons, croissants, coffee, and more!! Never disappointed.

Good croissants, yet quite pricey. I wanted to try the coffee but all lattes start from 5 dollars, which is the high end, so I skipped.

Those items are a bit pricier than the rest but they are quite unique. The cruffins are flakey, sugary without being overwhelming, creamy but subtle, and very satisfying. I have a strong sweet tooth and I am greedy. So I generally like to try more than one item in one sitting. These portions are not small and I would recommend sharing if you want to try a variety. I have monthly appointments in the general area and I try to plan it so that I will have enough time before or after my appointment to make a quick stop at Fiene's. My visits are usually during the week and I would be in and out within 10 minutes.

I was back in town visiting for a wedding and my host recommended G&S for brunch. They are only open eight hours a week and the only time we could get one of their few tables was 9 am sharp. We arrived on time and were the second table seated in a dining room that only contained eight tables. Great music, with classic rock and country played at a moderate level. Servers were all super nice and engaging. I could tell this was a place where the regulars come often and the staff knows them well. I got my OJ and my friend got her coffee. Juice tasted pretty fresh, but I admit I wish it had a little pulp. Right away we headed up to the buffet line and it was so amazing. Herb and cheese frittata, thick cut bacon, thick sausage patties, cheesy hash browns, banana bread French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, Caprese salad, cinnamon rolls, raspberry brownies, fruit salad, almond poppyseed scones, chocolate chip cookies... Everything I tried was excellent. The bacon and sausage were so full of flavor and as I mentioned they were thick, nothing wimpy about this breakfast meat. The French toast really had that nice banana and cinnamon flavor going. Cheeses added richness to the shredded hash brown potatoes. That cinnamon roll was so flaky. I even took some the buttercream frosting on top and spooned it on the French toast bake and that only made it even more amazing. I almost felt sorry for the fruit salad of blueberries, red grapes, and honeydew! 23 dollars was a pretty solid deal, especially since it was unlimited portions. I've had a few brunch buffets, but this absolutely ranks in the top 2 or 3 I have ever had.

The sheer variety of conchas on offer was truly amazing, making it so hard to choose just a few. This is like a crumble cookie but with delicious conchas. We ended up going home with quite the haul a 6 pack and a 12 pack, because, well, why not. We also couldn't resist picking up a Rosca de Reyes, which was absolutely beautiful and tasted incredibly soft and delicious. Among the conchas, the cajeta filled ones were a massive hit with my family, and the Nutella ones vanished just as quickly. The mazapán concha was not only tasty but also beautifully presented. I also have to shout out the Biscoff concha it was incredibly flavorful And the Duvalin concha, with its fun chocolate sprinkles, was a delightful take on a classic. I even spotted a strawberry cheesecake that looked utterly divine, but I was so caught up in the moment that I completely forgot to snap a picture. Definitely next time. We also tried a few of your drinks, and they were all fantastic. The winter matcha banana was a surprisingly delicious and unique combination - definitely a must try. But, if I had to pick a personal favorite, it would hands down be the dulce de leche iced latte. Seriously, I can't recommend it enough. We also sampled both the horchata frappe and the horchata iced latte while the frappe was good, the iced latte was definitely my preference and even more refreshing. Honestly, every single item we tried was simply delicious. Beyond the fantastic food and drinks, the owner and the staff were just wonderful so incredibly nice and welcoming. It truly made the entire experience even better. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I almost forgot there's a two or three little tables to dine in.
