Jumped in the line, with order number in hand. Order submitted, to pull away turn time, with parts of our order, TWENTY NINE MINUTES. It was 3-4 minutes per patron at the drive through. Nugget order, no BBQ sauce packed. Got one extra hamburger (thanks, I guess, felt more like a punishment. The app had captured an extra black coffee (it is staggering just how bad McDs app is, constant revalidation, points expire, things are impossible to cancel, they give the street address with no indication if you're in the parking lot, or ordering across the town as I'm passing through, dinner offers are cluttered iwith unavailable breakfast deals), the app is just torture. All food lukewarm. Burgers were bland and felt smaller than ever. The dog didn't complain about his plain cheeseburger with pickles, but he's german and we speak English, so maybe there was some animosity there, I just don't know. RUDE! Bangor Street double drive thru. No one in either lane. Pulled up. Got quick automated greeting. Waiting . . Car pulled up in second drive thru. Got instant service. I said 'hello?' and got a quick snotty 'Ah, hello? I'll be with you in a minute!' Every time we go they get my order wrong. We'll spend a good 20 or so minutes each time from the time we order to the time we receive the food, find out it's wrong and go back through to get it remade. How hard is it to make a hamburger with only onions? The slip even says it yet they put cheese and everything else on it. I even do the mobile order feature so the order isn't rung in wrong. We'll even remind them to make sure it's correct but still we get it and it's wrong. Besides the food the staff are friendly and the store is clean. Very slow service though. Any time I order sauce or ask for it at the window, they never give me any in the bags. I could go on and on but my final word of advice; skip this McDonald's and take the extra drive over to the Burger King or any other fast food joint a few minutes down the road. read more

If I could give a minus with the stars for CUSTOMER SERVICE, I would rank minus 3 stars. I pull into lane 2 of Bangor Street Augusta Maine location, behind truck. Lane 1 had a car. Lane 1 car places order and moves ahead to pay/pickup lane. Truck in front of me places order and once finished, moves to pay/pickup lane. I move ahead to speaker for my order. I hear the standard automated Welcome blah, blah, blah will you be using rewards and I respond with a No. Then I sit and wait. A black car pulls into what was empty lane 1. I hear the standard Welcome and then a live person asking for their order. EXCUSE ME. WOW Ok, I speak into my speaker with hello I've been waiting to place my order but you took order of other car and I was sitting here waiting. ALL I hear is "we have 2". Then said black car is done with order and moves along to pay/pickup lane. I'm complaining to hubby that was rude and he ain't saying much. Next then I see is a white car pull into now empty lane 1, gives and order and moves to pay/pickup lane. AYFS!!!! HOW RUDE. Now they take my order. I pay and say nothing. I pull up to pickup window and was handed my 2 coffees and was asked to move ahead to an empty parking slot my order not ready (2 sandwiches, 2 hash browns and 1 apple fritter). I KID YOU NOT. Not to take my order after 2nd car issue was DELIBERATE this was petty and childish now. So I pull ahead 1 car length and the.girl is hanging out window hollering to move ahead, so I moved ahead again but not out of her sight and put my car in park and waived. I'm old, 2 can play your stupid game. I parked ahead enough so cars could proceed to leave and about 5 mins later my food is brought our. Not even an apology for 'original mistake of not taken my order when they should have'. This is not the first time their customer service skills is crappy at drive thru. I've had issues with inside orders as well. Sad people, sad place. Oh they no longer offer to round up to the Ronald McDonald House in drive thru. Only inside will do now. Very sad. I'm not sure how this place is still going. It's been around since I was a baby. Maybe it was better back then, however this is a McDonald's last resort. If McDonald's on western Ave was full, I would rather drive to Gardiner or go to Burger King before going to this dive. EVERY order is wrong or you are waiting on food. I've had to wait on food before and received it cold from this place. When I went to complain I was given attitude by management. This would be the type of McDonald's you would have at the gates of hell. It seems like most everyone who works here are here for a paycheck, no more no less. If you special order an item, they slap the slip on it and forget it. I'm surprised they haven't asked for people to pay for food that needs to be re-made because of their mess up. Only place that I go that seems completely confused by mobile orders. Every other place has it aced. Not sure how you can fail at a workflow where I literally place the order and pre pay before I arrive. Get to the speaker, wait 10 minutes while they try to figure out where the mobile order is found. Finally they magically find it, only to loose it in the time it takes to drive from the speaker to the window. Then apparently they can't see that it is already paid so there is they conversation and confusion that ends with the receipt debacle. No I don't need a paper receipt for a digital order. It's shows in the app and the receipt is emailed. Why would we literally kill off more trees for a third copy of the receipt. If your business is going to use a mobile platform it might help if you knew how it worked before going live with customers. This place is a total fail and waste of any time that one may have saved by using their time saving app. Too many other choices to waste time here anymore! read more
