Well my last review was a Wendy's and now I am moving up to a McDonald's. Woo Hoo!! I was feeling pretty bummed from studying and the terrible wireless internet provided at NKU, so I decided to the leave the Concrete Toilet Bowl and head to a real temple of American Exceptionalism- yes McDonald's. Yes, what is more American than McDonald's? The peddlers of cheap, processed "foods," who have perfected the methods of mass production to bring a variety of foreign cuisines like French Fries, the German Hamburger, and even the American apple pie to be sold to the masses. Never mind the little things like obesity and the like. The Romans left behind aqueducts. The British left behind railroads. And our Empire leaves behind the Golden Arches. This McDonald's stands out because of the large indoor playland. Alas if only they had that when I was a tot. Also there is a double drive thru- which I believe is becoming the new norm. Aside from these things it was like almost every other McDonald's found across this great land: burgers and fries served up quick in a semi-cozy dinning room from the 1990's. Despite all the things that are wrong with Mickey D's, sometimes you really just crave it for some real reason. Biting into a cheap cheese burger and then writing a snarky yelp review can really make one feel better- well at least until the stomach ache an hour later. read more

I had a mobile order and I waited in curbside for almost an hour until they told me they can't give me my order since it's now past 10:30 AM, but I typed in the lot number and waited. The app said that they were preparing my food. The reason why I waited so long until I went in there is because they seemed busy. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. so this place literally robbed me and I can't cancel the order because it's saying it's being prepared. and the staff were not helpful at all about the whole situation. All they said is it could be your phone that has the issue or maybe it's because it's too hot out?like what relevance does this have?? and that they can't give me the food even though I already paid for it and it said it's been preparing for the last 40 minutes. oh yeah, and no refund isn't that great read more

The food is always warm here and the service is quick and friendly. About as good of a McDonald's experience that you would expect!

I want to provide feedback regarding this location. Unfortunately, I continue to experience issues with my orders not being prepared as requested or missing items altogether. Most recently, I ordered a single cheeseburger with extra onions and Mac sauce instead of the standard condiments. The first sandwich came incorrect, and even when replaced, it was still missing the onions. This has been an ongoing issue at this restaurant, and I believe additional training may be needed to ensure greater accuracy and consistency, or hire competent folks. Check your orders. read more

I know that it's fast food but when you open up your food and it's just slopped together and you have to put your burger together yourself. I believe there's an issue. This is the best McDonald's in the greater Cincinnati area. The drive-through line is fast, and ordering is friendly. Whenever I get my food, I always receive exactly what I asked for. I'm super happy to come to this McDonald's because I know it's going to be a genuinely nice experience. For fast food, the service is unbeatable. Everyone is always happy and smiling!! I always try to avoid the McDonals in Alexandria at night because it consistently has the slowest service of any McDonalds or really any fast food establishment in this particular area. On this night I was very hungry and thinking perhaps maybe it's been awhile and something may have changed. I usually do not take time to write bad reviews, but going to make an exception. Have not been back to McDonalds since I sat in line on a Friday night for 45 minutes waiting for our food. That was two years ago. I moved over to Wendy's and have not regretted it at all. Today I felt like some McDonalds fries. So I ordered a large fry. It came to just shy of $3. Mind you for 20 cents of potatoes! Look at the photos. They should be sued for consumer fraud! read more

Today's visit was less than ideal for a fast-food restaurant. Let me start by saying I was the only car in the whole drive-thru. I use the App so all I had to do was give me code at the speaker. I pulled to the second window, where I was told I must pull forward (again, the only car in the drive-thru). So, I pull forward just so the very unprofessional manager can bring out my order almost immediately. I advised him I hated the pull-forward option and don't understand why they do it. Excuse #1, "If we don't do it, then we run up our drive-thru times and my boss will get mad and we will get into trouble". I guess this makes sense because as he is saying this the drive-thru attendants for both windows are hanging out the window with happy meal boxes waving them past the sensors. Must be how they keep those drive-thru times so low. This does not help the customer in any way. Excuse #2 after I called him out on bring my order out almost immediately, "Well it takes the machine so long to make the frappes, so we pull people forward to help others." Again, I was the only person in the drive-thru. This leads me to excuse #3 "Well we do this for custom orders or large orders." I did not have a customized or large order. 3 sandwiches, two hash browns, and a frappe to which again, he brought right out. I finally told him I was done with his excuses and pulled away. Going forward, I will no longer be pulling forward. The manager can give me a refund or my food, whichever he can get too quicker. This Mcdonalds' need to stop worrying about corporate and make it about the customer experience for which today sucked! read more

This McDonald's is a joke. And they don't even deserve a single star they are given. None of the workers have patience with anybody or any kind of disability. My partner was just in there to order food and got laughed at because he has a speech impediment. I mean come on people have some freaking patience you can obviously tell my partner was trying to say something to you and you interrupted him and laughter at him. This is the McDonald's in Alexandria in front of the Walmart Super center of highway 27. For one, three half strips of bacon is silly as an order or anything. Two, the food came to me without my drink, as I ordered from the kiosk. Three, my sandwich looked terrible but, yes it tasted fine. Four, the bacon was good. However, it came out wrong at first (only one strip and a half). I asked for my full order of bacon and no one fixed it, The kid working at the counter said though that he would make sure the order went in. Then the manager didn't believe me that I orders 2 orders and she questioned me in front of everyone at the store. When she saw i was right, she didn't apologize. Then she said that she was right and I was wrong by stating I only get three half strips. She asked if i received 3 strips of bacon, i told her that I received an order but it was incorrect. She then rudely pointed out that an order was only 3 Half strips. I never disputed this fact, as silly as it is. This was a silly and useless conversation so, Instead of arguing with her and pointing out that i only received three half strips of bacon the first time, i just left the counter. The manager needs to chill the attitude if she is to survive in the service industry. Also, maybe get on your workers serve a better quality of food. Make the food better. I say again that the food was good but it was slopped down into the box and as you can see, it was a mess. read more

Completely unprofessional, unsatisfactory doesn't care about the customer completely forgets half the order on a weekly basis, dumpster of a McDonald's.I Talked to a manager named Alecia about the 2 6 piece nuggets and my daughters apple juice in the last week they have forgot. She said come back through and they will take care of it. I have a 2 year old and an 11 year old. The inconvenience wasn't worth the drive so I called back and got another manager who was another girl I didn't get her name but one of 3 managers working at 5:40 on January 13th. I started the call by asking for Alecia she said "who is asking?" I said "Shane I called 20 mins ago about food" she said "do you know a Shane?" I can hear Alecia saying no the girl gets back in the phone and says "she doesn't know you" I said "I literally talked to her 20 mins ago" she says "yeah what do you want" the conversation continues annoyingly and unprofessionally as I listen to someone in the background of the call complaining. Finally she tells me since I didn't call last week about the missing nuggets that there isn't anything they can do about it. Chicken nuggets are Pennies it's the principal.. I just hung up the phone. 5 dollars is nothing to me, but the unprofessional garbage I dealt with just trying to right the continuous order mess ups is beyond ridiculous. I understand it's hard to find people to work at places like McDonald's right now but may want to re-roll on the managers. I own a few businesses myself and wouldn't tolerate these people. In these pandemic months we often drive through for my daughter's favorite egg mcmuffin, hash brown, and mocha frappe. And you know what? No matter the time of day the food is hot and fresh. At 5pm we may be asked to pull over for a bit, and it makes total sense. The staff are friendly and pleasant from beginning to end. Personally I'm obsessed with an iced coffee with a SF vanilla shot. I was just at McDonalds in Alexandria in front or Walmart and had a horrible experience. First they didn't even make a Big Mac right I took it back and The Manager just wanted to put a slice of cheese on it. So I made them redo the whole sandwich then the employees 8-9 of them were all watching the football game who was running the restaurant ? My wife and I have gone to this horrible location a few times for convenience but it has been so bad every time we go. The staff has been ok, a little terse at times but overall not bad. At one point we had to return our food because they made us wait 30 minutes for our food which was ice cold (which is how their French fries are every time I have ever ordered them). Just recently we ordered a 6 piece chicken nugget, got home and there were only 4, for god sake they can't even count! So all in all avoid this McDonald's, go to the Taylor Mill one or the one on the AA. read more

I am shocked that this establishment can stay in business. I drive past it frequently and there is always a long line in the drive-thru, but their average time per order is DEFINITELY not to be considered "fast food". The car line was approximately 15 cars deep on a Sunday mid morning, and it wasn't moving, so I decided to go inside to place an order, something I quickly realized was a mistake. After ordering, not a single order got filled in the dining room. People around me had been waiting over 15 minutes for very simple and small orders. I finally requested my money back after personally waiting 15 minutes, because there were still 7 orders in front of mine on the screen, and little moment in the drive thru, and I needed to be somewhere. There were people around me who had been waiting over 25 minutes for FAST FOOD. I'm unsure if today was just a REALLY bad day, or if this is their usual speed of service, but I know I won't be back. read more

I've been taking my daughter here for lunch or dinner and to play on a weekend at least once a month. The last two times we have been this place has been absolutely disgusting. We eat in the play land area which up until the last few times has always been immaculate. (I am however not a fan of the remade kiddy land I think the old one was much better) but the last few times it's been nasty in there. Garbage over flowing bathroom downright and stuff all over the floor. When we were there this Saturday we literally ate and left because the playland looks like it hasn't been wiped down in ages. Now, I don't always give five stars to a fast food restaurant, but tonight -- after what I will describe here, I am doing so now. I had came in to grab a quick snack and update some apps on my tablet. As I was getting ready to leave and I was putting my stuff away, I heard a couple of female customers getting belligerent with the manager that was on duty here. Now, I've been in this particular McDonald's several times at this hour of night (around 10-11 pm) and I have never really had ANY issues with the staff or the mangers here. In fact, the manager named Stephanie that is here is always nice to me, whenever I talk to her. I'm not sure what those two girls' malfunction was nor do I care what their problem was with their food or if they just ordered one thing and thought that they ordered something else or what, but Stephanie was extremely professional with those two girls. I doubt that those two girls will call corporate on Stephanie, but I hope that Stephanie gets recognized for being completely professional in the face of two girls being belligerent and inappropriate towards Stephanie. If I could give Stephanie a pay raise and a promotion, I'd do it. read more

They literally don't care about their customers at all. Also the inside of the building is dirty and gross. This is the grossest Mcdonald's ever. The wait time in the drive thru was over 20 minutes. I ordered chicken nuggets and fries and when I ask for ranch after waiting so long the person at the window told me I need to pull forward and wait because I was holding up her drive thru line. I refused to pull forward to wait for a ranch cup, and another employee rudely brought to the window about 20 ranch cups. Ridiculous! I grabbed one and drove away! I know McDonald's isn't high-luxury for a job but I had a friend who worked there and it is supposed to give you great people skills but the hiring manager didn't treat me like a person. She acted like I was hired on the spot and told me to call back when I received my uniforms but I kept calling and calling and finally I gave up because they kept lying. "We didn't get your uniforms because of the snow." Really? Such cowardice. The way a good business runs is on honesty. Don't try to work here. I'm a truck driver and I don't get many opportunities to eat when I drive at night. I see a McDonald's open 24 hours. I think great I can get something hot and quick. Well I was wrong on both accounts. I was met by the cashier. Can I help you? As soon as it was said all of a sudden I hate my job man. This place sucks and I can't do math. Why am I "the customer" being subjected to this? I am the only customer in the store. There is 9 employees working at 2am? Most stores are lucky to have 3 at 2am. Long story short, food arrived Luke warm at best. Soda fountain was swarming with gnats and tea bins were empty and open, full of gnats. Alexandria, ky McDonald's has gone down so bad it's a shame. I just left there after being the only customer in line when I ordered and it took 24 mins. A young man and his 2 friends came in right after us and one man who was working in the back yells out to this young man and ask his last name. He starts yelling that this young man was suppose to work tonight. The young man was obviously embarrassed because now there's about 8-10 people in the lobby waiting to be waited on while this guys is yelling. There was no discretion at all. If he was suppose to work then that manager should have came out and talked with him not this other worker yelling so everyone could hear it. read more
