Perfectly prepared in terms of being thick but not too heavy, with a little bit of crispness. Adding whip cream is worth it. It's a good size waffle too because I couldn't quite finish it. If you are lucky enough to catch their food truck, definitely try it!! read more

Marty's Waffles - Food Trucks Near Me

Love Marty's waffles so tasty always fresh I got to keep my eyes open when I'm Alexander so I can find the truck

I can't believe no one has reviewed Marty's on Yelp! They're the best...the only bad part is that they seldom come to where I live/work. Mostly they hang out around NKy, and when they are in downtown, they're never at some of the more popular events (City Flea, Washington Park area). I heard about them from a friend who mentioned that Marty was his art teacher at NKY University and I was so intrigued! I first caught them when they were at the Food Truck Alley during Taste of Cincinnati and I fell in love! So much better than Taste of Belgium! They have a great balance of crunchy and soft and it's a little cheaper than ToB as well! ($4.00 for some milk, butter, sugar, and flour is a bit steep...) I've never tried anything except the original waffle, but they do have a fruit and cream option, where the cream is a Bourbon Cream...I've been wanting to try it but I can't imagine that it would be better than the original itself! They also have the waffle ice cream sandwich which sounds delish! Follow them on twitter or Facebook; they're really responsive and active about posting where they're gonna be. They usually have stable weekly showings like some antique market in KY or Loveland farmer's market in northern Cincinnati (still pretty far from me) Once you go Marty's, you never go back... read more

Marty's Waffles - Marty's Original Belgian waffle. Absolutely the best in Cincinnati - Food Trucks Near Me

Waffle perfection! Their waffle with the strawberries and bourbon whipped cream are to die for! The waffles are perfectly crisp and the fruit toppings are always fresh. I'd literally follow this truck everywhere if I could. My husband and I split a waffle for dessert. It was large enough to satisfy us both, but we will definitely order one each next time. They are just that good!! read more

Tried the Berry waffle at the MILFORD/Miami Street Feast Fest. I was extremely disappointed when I was handed a waffle with frozen berries! It was a giant mess of soggy, and tasteless mushy fruit! A complete waste of money! read more

Marty's Waffles - Food Trucks Near Me

I was really looking forward to trying Marty's. The waffles seem to be made with pretzel dough. The four waffles we ordered (plain waffle not pictured,) fell short. Our waffles were up as soon as we ordered them. The waffles themselves were clearly made well in advance. All were hard and cold. We ended up throwing out about half of the food. The salted caramel waffle was supposed to come with bourbon whipped cream yet was served with plain. The whipped cream itself tasted fresh. The strawberry waffle had a decent amount of strawberries. At $6 for each specialty waffle, and given the high Yelp rating, I was expecting more. read more

I love a good waffle. I mean there is just nothing better. Marty's has good waffles. They aren't those big soggy waffles you find at breakfast places. They are dense and chewy with a little sweetness. Mmmm.... Had their special at Beerfest downtown a couple of weeks ago. A waffle with peanut butter, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and bacon. The waffle was doing a bit too much for my tastes and I ended up scraping a lot of the toppings off just to get to the good stuff. The men on the truck were super friendly and I even got to meet and talk with Marty himself! Definitely in my top 3 favorite food trucks! read more

Had Marty's Waffles at Taste of Cincinnati, and it was awesome! I split the sea salt caramel waffle with bourbon whipped cream with my husband. To be fair I definitely split that thing like 80/20 because I wasn't going to give up that waffle! It was delish. There was a lot of salt, which was a nice touch because it almost felt like I was eating a salted pretzel with caramel. The waffle itself was soft, chewy, warm, and perfect. Wish you guys would come into Ohio more often! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on their website and their calendar to see where I can catch them next. Looks like they come to Deeper Roots Coffee in Cincinnati once a month on a Saturday morning! read more

After my somewhat disappointing trip to Pitabilities at the Springfield Food Truck Competition--and Jules' much more rewarding trip to Ramen Rickshaw--we were both ready for some dessert. As such, Marty's Waffles was our next stop in the festival. Now, we suffered the same problem at Marty's Waffles as I did at Pitabilities--by the time that we got to the front of the line, the waffle stand was out of a third of their menu! That said, the option we settled on was utterly phenomenal. Simple, really: it was nothing more than a waffle, sea salt, caramel, and a bourbon whipped cream. Ohhh, man! Let me tell you! The waffle was just a touch overdone for my taste, but for this, it became almost reminiscent of a well-made soft pretzel, touching a spectacular balance of sweet and salty. The whipped cream lost some of its consistency during the heat, but the cooler sections on the bottom had just the right hit of booze to add a great flavor to the whipped cream. If Marty's Waffles is around at any of the other Dayton area food trucks, I'll certainly give them another go! read more

Had them at work for lunch for our Food Truck Friday's! Waffles were delicious! Hope they come back again! read more

Marty's Waffles - Salted caramel with Bourbon whipped cream! YUM! - Food Trucks Near Me

Marty's was a HUGE disappointment for us. I noticed that people were ordering and then getting their waffles almost immediately. I should have know that was NOT a good sign. It wasn't. We expected freshly made waffles - got ones that were old and cold. Crispy? No. Hard? YES! The plastic knife and fork we got both broke when trying to cut them. Tasty? Not really unless you like the taste of day old bread. Sorry - not a waffle, but could be a new business venture: Marty's edible hockey pucks!! read more

OMG!!! I make a pretty mean Belgian waffle at home, so normally wouldn't purchase one, but Marty's is above and beyond! First, you can smell the sweet and saltiness coming from their truck. Sorta like a mixture of a waffle and a soft pretzel. Then, when I read the menu, there was no way I was going to let this pass me by. I opted for the salted caramel waffle with the bourbon whipped cream. The waffle was the perfect amount of crispy and chewy, and the taste was out of this world! The homemade whipped cream was a perfect topping. Almost the whole time I was eating it, I was wishing I had access to this truck in Cleveland. When you are surrounded by delicious dessert options, you will not regret choosing Marty's! read more

What an outstanding local business with top notch proprieters. I finally tried a waffle at the Taste of Cincinnati. $4 got me a fresh waffle with powdered sugar. It had a nice crispy outside with a delicious flavor. I enjoyed it much more than the other Cincinnati favorite waffle. Marty is a hard worker! Keep it up!! read more

Marty's Waffles are to die for! This is coming from a person who doesn't care for waffles or pretzels. My favorite is the sea salt, caramel with bourbon whipped cream. It is just the perfect combination of all --- a hearty meal/snack which satisfies both the sweet and salty palette! read more

Had a waffle with whip cream and it was very good! Not quite as moist as I'd prefer, but still excellent. I will definitely try them again!

One of the best things you will ever put in your mouth, period. Always get one if you have the opportunity.

Mary's Waffles is absolutely amazing. The truck was at Taste of Cincinnati this past weekend and I (like a lot of people these days) am obsessed with all things salted caramel and bourbon. They had a salted caramel waffle with bourbon cream and I am serious when I say this was one of the best sweet things I've ever eaten. My uber picky boyfriend even commented how delicious it was. If you see this food truck at an event, you NEED to make a bee-line for it! read more

What can I say my family and I will go places where we see the orange truck. The waffles are awesome, just recently went to a festival and purchased a dozen waffles and couldn't stop eating them once we got home... Staff is super friendly and would recommend this truck to any function ( weddings graduations b day party's ) that you might have because after eating these waffles for the first time about a year ago you will not be disappointed and you will continue to follow this food truck where ever it goes. Also what I've learned from this truck is that waffles are not just for breakfast these you can eat whenever. I would suggest that if you buy one waffle you might want to go ahead and buy another one for later. Thanks Marty's waffles for a exceptional business and keep up the excellent work and great community values that you display read more

This for me, and I have tried out the others in the area, is the best waffle in town hands down. Others are good, but every time I see this truck, I buy a half or full dozen without hesitation. I like my waffle from there, the original sugar waffle, plain, no syrup. YUM!!! read more
