This job involved replacing a cheap vinyl wood floor with durable SPC. The scope was a living room, 4 steps, and a hallway. Each day two guys arrived on time. Because the subfloor was not flat, they had to pour concrete to level the floor. Overall, they did an excellent job and cleaned everything well. Like many projects there were some unexpected issues, and Gene handled each issue quickly with a good solution.

The Floortex salesman refused to correct the poor installation, and complained loudly and rudely that he was losing money on the deal. He offered to rip out the carpet and let me forfeit my deposit as his only remedy. The carpet was not set flush against the walls, and the pattern did not match where the seams were sewn together. The installer, who was in very poor health, took over twelve hours to complete a very small bedroom and short hallway. Now I'm stuck with expensive, poorly installed carpet and an an angry carpet salesman.
