Steve assisted me this time and I received such outstanding Service I had to write this review. He patiently listened as I rambled on with what I thought I needed. He then guided me options explaining the whys - I am so grateful. It turns out I selected a 'base' white color previously which resulted in less coverage, more paint and much more effort. Based on Steve's guidance I returned 5 gallons of previously purchased paint, purchased the ceiling and satin paint I needed - saved money on paint - and labor as the painters will now expend less effort and bill less. I am so thankful for his patience and his willingness to share his expertise and not just 'sell paint. He was courteous and professional and such a high value representative to the brand.

Stay away from the manager lady/ interior decorator lady. She is COLD. There's something very…read moreabrupt about her. The men working there are really nice and they mentioned that we can talk to their interior decorator because we had just bought a new house. They said she could help us with color transition and I was excited. Well, when the interior decorator/manager came out, I was NOT comfortable asking her questions. She's a very much "Tell me what you want and get out because you're a waste of time." I get that we're not contractors buying a butt load of paint but we're still customers. We're painting our third room and my hubby went in there with the dimentions of the room we wanted to paint (along with the closet and window dimensions). She acted as if it was an INCONVENIENCE to calculate how much paint we would need. HELLO? We're not professional painters. Does it KILL YOU to help us? HAVE YOU HEARD OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE? It's stupid to expect extraordinary customer service at a paint store but can I at least feel WELCOMED to ask questions? We're thinking of going to Sherwin-Williams paint shop up the street to avoid the NASTY lady. Or just try to go on a day when the lady is not working at the counter. The men there are so nice. My wife told me the Sherwin-Williams people on Plank Road weren't good on customer service. Then halfway through painting a room, she needed another gallon of the paint she bought there & sent me to get it. It took me a while to get served. After that, it seemed they were trying to get rid of me quickly. Saying, "we don't have that", "there is a paint shortage", and "the base paint we need to make that might be in later this week; check back then". When I asked for alternatives or upgrades to finish our job, they seemed annoyed. They did check for the base paint in other stores, and said, "The system shows 5 gallons in Fredericksburg, but I know we took two, so I don't know if they will still have it if you go there." I called the Fredericksburg store. They had it, asked for the color code, and mixed it up while I was in transit. When I got to the Fredericksburg store, it was ready. Helpful, cheerful people took my order and had me on my way. Save yourself trouble and irritation. If you want Sherwin-Williams paint, just go to the Fredericksburg store. It's not that far away, and they act like they want your business.

My boss had called this store a couple weeks ago looking for a bright hot pink paint and was told…read morethey don't carry it but they can create the color, so I went in to go inquire about that color. The guy at the counter was extremely rude and was unwilling to help me AT ALL! I brought a picture of the color I wanted and he told me they couldn't match the color from a picture, that they needed the paint color to get the color and I said how am I supposed to get the paint color when we're trying to CREATE the color? He had ZERO interest in helping me and just kept repeating that he needs the paint color over and over. It would've been different if he said "we can't match a photo but let's see what we can do to get the right color for you" Not just keep telling me you need a paint sample, over and over. CANT BRING YOU THE PAINT SAMPLE IF IT DOESNT FICKING EXIST!!! Thats the whole reason behind CREATING colors!!!! You need to explain to your customers what can be done to achieve the color they want, not just keep repeating the same unhelpful lines over and over again. Your customers don't speak paint, this isnt our career, your job is to HELP US find what we're looking for! I stormed out of there and will never come back. That man should DEFINITELY not be working with ppl and should take his stank ass attitude somewhere else.

Therefore, we used them on our very next project. This time they were slow responding, very slow showing up, with reschedules, and then when they put the flooring in, they added a surprise labor charge because they had to move appliances. We did NOT mind paying them for extra work, but we DID mind not being forewarned that the charge was coming. It was several hundred dollars, so not a trivial surprise. Nevertheless, we decided to give them a third go. This time they simply did not ever show up to measure. We had to climb the supervisor chain. They referred us back to our old rep, who ceremoniously proclaimed "we no longer have the resources to manage your account....sniff". This is carpet and vinyl in a mobile home - under 1,000', and no odd shapes. C'mon. We went back up the chain. The rep called and apologized, and showed up to measure. When they measured, they said - we are only doing this as a favor, as we are getting out of residential." My wife said: "get out." Thus ends our relationship with Sherwin-Williams. We got our paint here as well, but will no longer do so.

The last time I purchased appliances from Lowe's, RXO was incompetent and I ended up injured and will now live with pain for the rest of my life. Because RXO makes a point to provide ZERO paperwork with their deliveries (you don't even have to sign for them), customers have no recourse because RXO states they cannot help anyone who doesn't have a tracking number/order number for their delivery complaint. You can be hospitalized or die and as long as you don't hire an attorney, RXO will not lift a finger to assist you in any way. This is bad business for Lowe's.
