I have been loyal to Lowe's for decades, but sadly that has to change. I can no longer be loyal to Lowe's when purchasing appliances, which I need to replace all of in the next two years. The last time I purchased appliances from Lowe's, RXO was incompetent and I ended up injured and will now live with pain for the rest of my life. Because RXO makes a point to provide ZERO paperwork with their deliveries (you don't even have to sign for them), customers have no recourse because RXO states they cannot help anyone who doesn't have a tracking number/order number for their delivery complaint. You can be hospitalized or die and as long as you don't hire an attorney, RXO will not lift a finger to assist you in any way. This is bad business for Lowe's. read more

I have worked with Lowe's all over the state of Virginia. This Lowe's is by far the worst. I try to talk with appliances and they will not answer the phone or worse they pick up and hang up. you call back and they do it again. If you ask to speak with a manager you will wait forever and usually get hung up on without anyone ever speaking to you. They are unprofessional and completely unavailable for the customer. Set up an appt for window treatment with Lowe's coming out to measure windows. Appt was changed once and I agreed to new change. Tried to change a second time with little notice but I was unable to accommodate so original time was kept. Waited at vacant house (new construction) for over 2 hours and the guy never showed up. I tried to call number he called me from but it was not accepting calls. There was no way to get in touch with him. Wasted an entire weekend afternoon waiting for a NO SHOW. read more

second time with order disaster. this time I spent $2k on an oven. it took a little longer for them to get it in. but Lowe's smashed the oven glass during handling. so to issue refund takes 4 days then to submit replacement order they say 2 more weeks after that if I can believe they even have this oven. then another 4 days to schedule installation. I bought some paint here, so was painting my room off white. Lucky for me Keoni was in the paint department, ready and willing to help me! I actually recognized him from a different home improvement store I used to frequent with an ex. He helped me pick from the dozens of shades of white they had available. I ended up with Du Jour. Sounded fancy! On other occasions I have always been assisted very quickly, but cannot recall the names of those employees. Someone is always available to help at this location! read more

it's a big box store. it's the better one (for home improvement) in this area. decent selection, and options to order more, so that's good. it can be VERY hard to find someone to help you. at one point we had a question and got 3 different folks trying to find the one person who was SUPPOSED to be in that section to answer questions. not great. overall, we've spent a lot of money here because the products are what we need, but it'd be nice if it were a little easier. read more

I purchased a washer and dryer on November 20, 2022. Lowes has failed to complete the order. The delivery was scheduled for November 29, 2022; however, only a washing machine was delivered. I have spoken with managers and assistant managers and customer service representative, but to no avail. An assistant manager promised me last evening that the dryer woud have been delivered today. I have not seen the delivery man and it is now after 11pm. I have found the delivery man to be rude (screaming at my door). The customer service rep puts me on hold then hangs up. Waited since 8 am for my 9-1pm refrigerator delivery even followed the instructions and had everything out of the old one for the delivery and they waited until 1:30pm to tell oh sorry we can't deliver it today please call the store to reschedule...after 26 mins of being redirected and listening to the phone just ringing they finally answered to reschedule it. Big inconvenience to have to do this process again...no discounts offered for this and since things were put off today for tomorrow I guess tomorrow they will be working on my time or enjoy unloading it back at the store with me taking my business elsewhere. read more

We ordered a washer and dryer combo unit that was scheduled to be delivered on 7/5/2023. Due to the stores scheduling on this date, I was unable to accompany my grandmother to chemo, and my wife had to take her alone. My wife packed our minivan with our 4 children and sick grandmother, and had to battle against high heat, traffic, young children, and our elderly grandmother's failing health all alone. I have been at this Lowes 11 out of 17 weekends in a row. Tonight was the worst experience of a growing list of bad experiences. I do a TON of DIY stuff around the house and have been using this Lowes for many years. Over the past two years, the service and general staff attitude have noticeably been declining. They are perpetually understaffed and seem to rarely have what I need. This is in contrast to the Massaponax Lowes which is much nicer, has a smart home section, more employees and a generally better atmosphere. As my daughter and I walked in, we saw an employee angrily shove a line of carts into a wall. Then another employee was attempting to apologize to the cart-shover, on behalf of a third party they clearly had attitude issues and didn't seem to mind that we witnessed it. Overseeing a few hundred people, I used the opportunity to explain to my daughter how professionals respond to conflict in the workplace and how non-professional people behave. I was looking for a particular item that I had been researching. It's a $500 item. After finally finding two employees who were huddled together gossiping, I asked if they did price matching. They said yes. I had to go to customer service. I did so. It was a ghost town in the store, but we still had to wait a long while to get attention. When I brought the item up, I showed the clerk that Target and Best Buy had the same item for $50 less. With attitude, she asked if they had it in stock. I asked how one would prove or disprove that as I was showing her the price on the website and have no way to know for sure. With greater attitude, she merely repeated, but more slowly as if I were stupid "Do they have it in stock." We simply left the store. The behavior of the employees only becomes that toxic with poor leadership. I do not blame them. They clearly do not have the culture necessary to create a positive customer experience. I had planned on speaking with Lowes this weekend about a total kitchen replacement and have decided to schedule an appointment with others this weekend. read more

In a world on less service more profit, Lowe's excels. My customer ordered a door. Paid for it. And I came to pick it up. I've been here at the Carl D Silver Parkway Lowe's for close to an hour. The door was never pulled from stock. So there is a chance they don't have an item that was paid for. So that's consumer fraud. The customer service associate has been the only person doing her job to try to make it better. Millwork took over 20 minutes to answer her repeated calls. I'm now at over an hour and still no order. Numerous people have dropped the ball here. Now I find out that what they have for me are all returns and open boxes. Deplorable. read more

My wife went to lowe's yesterday, researched a refrigerator there and purchased it along with an extended warranty. It's delivery date and installation was 8am-12pm today. We emptied out the old unit and waited. I would have to agree with most of the negative comments here. I have spent around $7k in the last year and the customer service keeps getting worse and worse. Lisa at the front desk is one of the rudest ones I have come across. I don't know if management has changed or what has happened. I drive past a Hime Depot yo come to this Lowe's. I may need to just shop at Home Depot. I don't know if the Massaponax location is this bad now, but I am willing to drive down an exit to avoid this store. I can take my dollars elsewhere. I bought powered blinds from this store expecting to be new, they were not marked as open box and labeled at $150! When i got home half of them were open box and missing majority of the parts. Stay away from the cabinet department and especially Theresa. I'm not sure how long this lady has been doing this job but based on how old and grumpy she is I would say long enough to not want to put effort into helping people. When I first made the appointment she said she got in at 9am but she would schedule us at 9:15 so she could have her coffee first. I sent over all the designs so she wouldn't even have to do any work and our kitchen measurements. Went the day before and got our floor colors and the cabinet colors I liked. I was prepared. We are building a house and don't have a lot of time. We arrived at 9:15 and she looked annoyed and said... " I thought the appointment was 9:45am good thing I'm early". That was strike one. Then we walk over to the computer and realize she was completely unprepared. She hadn't even opened anything I sent her. Made excuse after excuse that she was too busy and this and that instead of just calling us and rescheduling until she was prepared. Strike two. I finally said are you even wanting to help us or are you just too busy it seems. We took the day off you are completely unprepared. She started saying that we could go to two different Lowe's and they were less busy and could help us. That was it. Strike three. I picked up my stuff and left. Never looked back. This was the worst experience of my life. After we have paid for our items we were profiled as criminals, myself and my 8 year old child were in self check out we have checked all the items and then paid , as we were getting ready to walk out an employee decides to run after us snatch the bag from our cart and grazed my child as she snatches the bag my child sitting in the cart is asking me why they just took our bag, so we proceed to watch the employee walk away with our bag place it on a table and go through it , mind you she didn't ask she just snatched it and walked away , so as me and my child sit there is astonishment wondering why this employee snatched our bag, she then comes back and gives it to me and does not say anything, then I ask her why did you snatched the bag from our cart and what was the reason, she then gives me an anwser of " I had To deactivate the bag", in my bag there was two 4$ tub stoppers, one wax less ring kit 10$ and then there was a grill scrubber which was 9$, none of those items have tags for security's theft, I have worked in retail and I am more then aware there are no security tags on the bag itself, and also you can not snatch someone's bag and almost hit there child to see if they're stealing , this is by far the worst experience of my life with Lowe's, I have been doing all of my repairs using Lowe's products now I will never go back , and I will make sure everyone knows the situation that has happens , my 8 year old child does not know why an employee decided to snatch our bag almost hit here and then proceed to go through it. I ordered a fridge from this location (bypassing my store on Warrenton Rd) after I had such a horrible experience from Home Depot on Gateway Blvd. I made sure to ask if they could take away my heavy Viking fridge and they said yes. I ordered the fridge and it was delivered the next day. They removed my Viking with no problems and set up my new fridge. I also save $200! on the same fridge. Happy, happy, happy! Home Depot has a serious problem with communication between their store and the delivery company. I've tried to make them aware but they could care less. They lost my business when I had problems and bought from Lowe's instead but seemed to care less. read more

This store has provided terrible customer service. I requested carpet quotes for my entire house, and it has taken over three weeks to have them processed. Every time I go to the store, there is no one available to answer any questions or provide customer service. Calling does not work as my calls are not answered. If this is how they treat customers making a significant purchase, then I do not want to do business with them. For your carpet and flooring needs, I recommend using other stores. read more

I am having almost the same problems as the person who wrote the review before me. The blind department is terrible. I started the process of ordering Graber shutters in Nov. 2019 Lowes sent the wrong person to the house Dec 4. It took them until Jan 8, 2020 to get someone out to measure. Now it is the end of Feb. The shutters came. Wrong shutters and they were warped. These were a Christmas gift. We have gone in several times and it seems the right people are never there. In fact we went in the store 3 different times in one day and it was always they just stepped out. Julie was not much help when ordering the them. We also stood right by the desk for a good 15 minutes before she even acknowledged us. Matt gives you attitude. They have our money and yet we have no shutters. I prefer to shop at Lowe's vs hd, but I am at the end of my ropes and can't seem to find someone at corporate who cares enough to fix it. One super I told me her supervisor doesn't take phone calls and I couldn't talk to it. REALLY I don't know where I'm going to shop, but I'll do something. My problem is Im down to two houses. I had something shipped to the rental house awhile back. When I ordered a couple thousand $ in blinds, I noticed that Julie had the rental phone # and address. I strongly emphasized to her that that was the wrong address. She assured me she would change it. Well guess where they are shipping my stuff to? She lied and all she does is offer excuses So on Friday morning I asked the mgr if they could head off the shipment because when I called FedEx, theshipper had to do it. Well shipment Saturday went to rental. Shipment Tuesday went to rental. The first shipment my realtor went to pick up. I was going to make Lowe's go pick it up, but it becomes very difficult to negotiate with tenant for access. So I'm getting ready to cancel this last part of the order and it can become Lowe's problem. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open. I do have to say, mgr Rick and Rodney in plumbing are wonderful and really take good care of me, but I need to solve my problem. I just bought thousands in appliances and stuff and was getting ready to buy thousands for bathroom stuff - so I will start looking for alternatives. Will miss dealing with rick and Rodney, but I gotta do what I gotta do. read more
