I have been a customer of Lowe's for a long time and bought a new washer and dryer from them and had it delivered. I had to wait a few days for them to be delivered which was fine. When they delivered only one was delivered. I had to go to Lowe's and get pushed around for 3 hours to get this straightened out. I was then told they would pick it back up 3 days later on Friday. When I asked the time frame for that they said it could be day or night, so no time frame. It is now Friday at 5:51 pm and still has not been picked up. I called customer service and they were not sympathetic at all. They even placed me on hold for 10 minutes until someone else answered the phone. I had then explain all over again and they told me they use a third party to do this and they could not help me. This is the worst customer service I have ever had and Lowe's should be ashamed for was my whole day and night. They show no remorse and no accountability at all. I would rate them less than a one if I could. It is not right that they show no accountability when anyone of us would be. Lowe's has lost a great customer. To add on to the rest of the story. The first set was bought at the Lowe's in Central Park , which was returned because they only brought one out. They told us to go to the Lowe's in massaponax to get the second set because they were in stock. The second set had to be returned because they didn't fit. After a couple weeks they had not refunded for either set. Going to both Lowe's to try to get it fixed took 3 hours at each lowe's to get my money back. So after 6 hours the matter is hopefully taken care of. You would think after all that they would at least apologize for everything, but the only comment they had was next time just buy from one store. The nerve they have, making all of the mistakes and wasting my time to get it fixed and this is all they have to say. No accountability at all. A little advice grab a lumber cart before you come in the store because the ones they do have in there are usually full of stuff and it's just sitting there in the way. The lumber is always in disarray no one ever tries to stack the lumber back neatly. So many employees are just walking around when they could be trying to clean up. The isles that are just jampacked with things just sitting there. Another thing they know morning time is rush-hour for the construction trades, and they always only have one cash register open and people are backed halfway down the aisle. I tried getting plywood two days in a row in the aisle was packed both days with drywall studs windows just about anything they can fit in the aisle then they just leave it there and walk away. If you need something that is on the top shelf plan on, going to get something to eat because it's gonna take them an hour or so to move everything out of the way just to get a forklift in there. I went in there on Tuesday and got some half-inch roof plywood. It was almost $12 a sheet. I went in there Friday and now the plywood has gone up to $21. It would really be nice to have a heads up when they're getting ready to raise prices so high . read more

AWFUL store. Went there to return and item I had bought and the clerk was rude, unprofessional and it was a terrible experience. Had been there before and no one ever offered to help me. If I could zero stars I would. What a circus!!! Ordered a front loader w&d over a month ago, and find out the DAY OF delivery that the dryer and stacking kit isn't available. Stated they tried to call "multiple" times on a phone number that's not even mine. Bought a gas range from this store. They said a permit is required, and charged $135 in fees to file and pick up (yes, $75 pick up fee) the permit. Sub contractor, Mega Plumbing does the install, and leaves us a paper that says we need to schedule an inspection with the county and to refer to the permit number. When asked about the number, installer said don't worry about it, the county will call us. I go to the county the day after the install, and am told no permit was ever filed, and they never call to schedule inspection. I then go back to Lowe's to complain and was refunded the $135. Then I get a phone call from Lowe's to follow up on the sale/ install and tell them the story. They call the store then call me back to tell me that "John" from the store said the permit was optional all along. Reeks of scam. I expect 90% of customers would have waited for the country to call, and forgotten about it, qallowing Lowe's to pocket $135 for the permit - required at sale, optional at post sale. read more

What a dismal disappointment. Had scheduled delivery (4 hour window) for a morning delivery (8-12). Just before 12, received a call changing delivery to afternoon (12-4). Needed merchandise for scheduled plumber and contractor finishing the bathroom. Received yet another call saying that delivery would now be between 4-8PM. What a joke. I just spent $500.00 for contractor and plumber because Lowes is so poorly managed. Just made my last trip to this, or any other Lowes. Highly recommend shopping at Home Depot. At least when they schedule a delivery, they follow through. This is the second time Lowes has pulled this. Drove from the Culpeper location to the Fredericksburg location due to the product availability. When we got there we had a young gentleman "help" us and he wasn't able to find it anywhere but after about 15-20 minutes of trying to find what was "in stock" on the website a Floor Sales Manager or Supervisor, I believe his name was Dave , was able to find what we needed within 10 minutes. He was very helpful and eager to assist us considering it was 15 minutes before close. 10/10 for his management and customer service skills read more

Horrible customer care. I ordered a dishwasher with installation over a week ago. Never heard from them after initial call. I called today and was told it would be another 15 days! I asked if they had it at another store, they did. I was told on the phone it could be installed tomorrow. Cancelled first order, but had to physically go into the other store to set up installation on my second try at getting a dishwasher from Lowe's. Despite what I was told on the phone, when I went in person, I was told it would be at least a week before it could be installed. I asked to speak to a manager, and sat there for over 10 minutes. Finally walked out and called Home Depot from the Lowe's parking lot and ordered my dishwasher, which will be installed in three days!!!! read more

I purchased a Husqvarna riding lawnmower in 2017 that was immediately defective upon delivery and a Frigidaire refrigerator in 2019 that broke within 5 months of purchase from this location. I will not do business with them or Lowe's for that matter again. When they delivered the lawnmower, it was dropped off at the end of my driveway. When I tried to start the mower to move it out of the way, the mower would not start. The delivery guy was literally like not my problem and left it there blocking my cars and driveway immobile. I figured that the new mower wouldn't start because of a dead battery. The day I got it I had to purchase a new battery only to find that once it did get started it would not go into reverse. Later I was told that the reason it would operate properly was because the transmission was never assembled completely, this was confirmed by the factory certified repair facility that had to pick it up immediately after Lowe's dropped it off. I had to get a new mower factory serviced before I ever used it once. This would be my only option because although the delivery was free, when I checked with Lowe's about the return options, they pretty much said the same thing that the delivery guy said, getting it back to the store was not their problem. This January (2019) I decided to give Lowe's and the Southpoint Pkwy location another opportunity. I purchased a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator. Again the delivery was a nightmare and I had to miss 2 days of work for them to send someone smart enough figure out they needed to come through the sliding door in the kitchen to get it in the house. During delivery it was damaged on the first attempt by a disgruntled delivery man and on the second attempt they sent a different guy but brought back the same refrigerator that the first guy damaged. Now in May (2019) the refrigerator, not even six months old is not working. Another warranty repair is now needed. I wouldn't risk making another major purchase from here as either it is a distribution center for damaged "new goods" or they really just stock a lot of defective merchandise. BUYER BEWARE read more

Lowe's Floor Installation contractor Service Pros Lowe's sent their contractor Service Pros to install a laminate floor in two upstairs bedroom. The contractors pounded the laminate on to the floor. The pounding knocked nails through the ceilings downstairs. I have been complaining since November. The Southpoint Lowes sent us to Service Pros who refused to repair the damages. Southpoint Lowes sent us to Lowe's claim department and there has been no response. There is supposedly a one year guaranty on installs. Will it take one year for the Southpoint Lowes to respond. Please follow this space. Remember you can give them the money for the install, after that, you could be like me, on your own to make the repairs the contractor does. read more

I shop here a ton. Every time I walk in and need to know where anything is. I always get pointed to the correct place. The prices are about the same. It's that great customer service why I have chose this location in my area. I only had one problem and I think the 6 years of good service far out weighs 1 bad time. I won't even deal with this store. Before I moved down here, I lived 70 miles away. I was told that I would have to come in to the store and sign something to get my windows measured. So I finally found the time. Guess what. No one could understand why I was told that. So okay. After a couple of minutes she tells me I would have to be there when he measured so he would know what I wanted. I didn't understand it, and said I'd go elsewhere. I went back to Woodbridge and she says all I'd have to tell him is if I wanted shutters or blinds. Why in heck couldn't she have said that - give me a break. I moved to Spotsy about two years ago. And my 'go to' place is Lowes. I have ordered more stuff to make my house a home. I purchased an older house and let me tell you...older stuff breaks...The Lowes personnel have recommended items that I feel were appropriate for my home. I fell in love with a french door. I requested that Lowes contact me when the door went on sale. I gave them my number. And yes, I received a call when the door went on sale. The door looks good in my home. I wanted to buy an induction stove. And between Google, You Tube, and the Lowes staff, I got the stove that was best for my household. Now I do visit the store early (they open at 6am), so I get personalized attention because there aren't that many nonprofessional buyers in the morning. LOWES Spotsylvania VA. Unprofessional Management. They lie to you and say they are going to call you they do not, you call them and they are not there and when they are they say they will call you and again they do not. They say they are going to correct a purchase and they say soon, You call about the correction they say next month, you call because they do not and they say the following month. The next month has now dragged on to 6 months these people in management are professional liars. They continue to say they are going to fix your purchase but all along they just want you to go away because they are not going to correct the problem but you are still paying for the problem monthly. I have never encountered in my 30 years with Lowes as a customer that these people are managers and they continue to get paid, continue to be managers and they continue to lie to you and Lowes continues to bill me monthly for a product that management will not fix or correct. I do know names of the Managers at Lowes but I do not need to say their names because I have spoken to every one of them and it is the same excuse they will caal you and they will correct the problem and they all are liars and have done nothing to correct this. It appears Lowes has low standards because they cannort even clean up their managers at a lower level so this tells you a lot about upper management because they to are just like them liars also. They at Corporate know my complaint and they also will lie about correcting it also. So now I go to Home Depot or elsewhere because I am done with Lowes. You dont pay the bill and they will screw you and lie about everything I have mentioned and they will say it never happened. read more

Worst Experience Ever!! Buy your appliances somewhere else! Here's my story. In September I placed an order for a washing machine for my home in Fredericksburg & a fridge for a rental in Conway SC via Lowe's.com. 1. After the order was placed I called the corp office and arranged for it to be 12 months interest free due to the high dollar amount of the order. 2. I got a call from the delivery dept asking when we'd like the washer delivered and I'd arrange a time when someone would be home. The evening before the scheduled delivery day Lowe's would call to change the delivery time & of course my wife and I were working during the new delivery time they chose. Can you imagine not having a working washing machine for about three weeks : ( 3. There was a delivery set up for Saturday but my wife's scheduled changed so I called the Southpoint Pkwy location directly on Thursday to arrange for a delivery on Friday, my wife was going to be home all day. The machine finally arrived October 6, 2017. Friday night Lowes called to confirm the delivery of the washer on Saturday. The original order was never changed. I declined the delivery of the second washing machine. 4. My Lowe's bill shows up and I'm charged for two washing machines!!! I've called Lowe's 8 time over the last 3 months trying to get this problem corrected and once I was even on hold with corporate Lowe's for 30 minutes before I was "disconnected' I even went to the local store twice and was told there was nothing they could do. So far I've invested at least 6 hours of my time trying to get this fixed. I also noticed on my last bill the machine that was delivered wasn't set up for 12 months interest free. This last trip to Lowe's on Southpoint Parkway was the first time I have been extremely disappointed in their customer service. I needed two ceiling tiles and found several loose tiles matching my needs. The sticker on the shelf read $1.15 per square foot / $73.56 per carton. When I took the two loose tiles to the register to pay, the cashier informed me they do not sell the tiles individually, only as a whole box. She confirmed with a manager at my request. I was not paying for a whole box when all I needed was two tiles. Each tile was 4 square feet and they could have easily charged me for 8 square feet of tile at $1.15 per square foot. I find it odd that this store has no problem negotiating a price for a floor model or damaged item; however, they will not sell individual ceiling tiles that are loose and being damaged while no longer packaged properly. read more

I'd give them less but they Yelp won't let me. The short version: I buy a $7K custom door from them and have them in stall it. It stops locking and the threshold isnt right service call 1. A few weeks later same thing. Lowe's says I have to call Pella. Okay Pella comes out says it wasn't installed properly but they can fix it. Less than 6 months later same issues. Pella says the door needs to be replaced and they will contact Lowes. 4 months of calling.... Lowe's door & window manager calls "sorry it's taken me a month to get back to you but I'm on nights (mind you I have the email from Pella that's 5 months). Well this is a lot of money I'm gonna have to talk to my manager. You would think 1. It is a lot of money which is even more so why it should be right. 2. By now I thought I'd write talking to someone who could make decisions. I went in on a Sunday evening and was very happily surprised to be able to get materials delivered on Tuesday. When Tuesday came, the delivery did not. My help sat around drinking coffee and accomplishing nothing. When I called to find out what happened , I was told "the system" assigned my delivery to someone that doesn't deliver for that particular store. WORST PLACE TO ORDER WASHER/DRYER!!! Have had so many problems with this so it's to the point I will NEVER use Lowe's again for anything! I bought a washer and dryer from Lowe's- the first time the delivery people that Lowe's had hired came to install my washer they did not take out the shipping rods out of my Samsung washer... and also totally tore up flooring, caused a lot of problems and I had to wait 2-3 weeks for a new washer and dryer. When they come to deliver my next washer which was Maytag- it came off the delivery truck at my home DAMAGED by a forklift. Why on earth would they have even loaded it on the truck to be brought to my house if it was damaged???? Had to wait another 2-3 weeks for a replacement washer to be delivered to my home. Have had this new washer for about 3-4 weeks and is now leaking water all underneath of my floor and has caused damages to the foundation of my home and trim along my flooring. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Would not recommend to even my worst enemy.. read more

Great Place! The Staff is Friendly and helpful. was in there on 4 separate occasions in 4 Days getting supplies for a new patio for my mother. Delivery Driver was great very polite and put on a show for my 2 Year old nephew on the forklift. The Lady in the Garden Center (Penny) and the Ginger Bearded Forklift operator were super nice.
