The customer service with iDesign Granite was wonderful. JJ came out and measured the kitchen with a laser. I was concerned about some of the dimensions when the drawing came back and emailed to ask about them. Nicole responded almost instantly and had the drafter check his drawing. He didn't have any concerns, so JJ came back out and measured with me with a tape measure. I'd misunderstood some details of the drawing, but JJ wasn't impatient or angry. He insisted that it was much better to double check if I had a concern. The installation team came out a week later with our BEAUTIFUL Brazilian soapstone countertops. They encountered a problem, though. Our cabinets weren't level. At all. They attempted to shim the countertops, but the gap was going to be too big. JJ came out and looked it over and offered to take the countertops back to the shop or store them at my house while we leveled the cabinets. I called him the next day to tell him that the cabinets were level now and they came out on a Saturday and installed the countertops. Even with us being kind of a problem customer (not rude, just had installation issues), the entire team was kind and accommodating. At first I thought JJ was the measurement guy. He was unassuming, kind to explain, and patient. Turns out he owns the company! Talk about setting an example. read more

I love the way my granite looks and the installers were efficient and neat, but they broke a drain return pipe at my bar sink INSIDE the wall. The drain plumbing was detached from the countertops when they removed the old counter, so they must have stepped on it or otherwise hit it. They did not tell me that they broke the pipe while they were here and I am now having to pay my plumber 2.5 times the amount I should have had to pay to get the plumbing back in order. read more

This is a very long review. The TL:DR is iDesign is fantastic and we will be returning for our bathroom counters! We highly recommend hiring them! My wife and I spend a LOT of time in the kitchen. While our kitchen was always OK, it was not great. JJ, Gus and team were exemplary. They helped us transform our dated builder grade kitchen to a classic Mediterranean craftsman look. We were prepared to spend up to grade C granite or quartz counter and maybe even a D if there was one that knocked our socks off. We dropped in to their shop and were amazed at being able to look at the large sheets of granite in person instead of little samples that don't give even a semblance of what the full slabs are like. JJ came out the following day to do the measuring. After viewing and measuring our Kitchen with exact dimensions thanks to a 3D laser mapping device, we visited the shop again. We discussed our backsplash and sink ideas and Gus guided us to a simpler but gorgeous A level granite - Verde Butterfly (you might see this at a blue themed big box hardware store marketed as Emerald Ridge). The estimate came back slightly more than HALF of the aforementioned big box store including demolition of the old counters and coordinating the plumbing for the new sink and faucet as part of the total price. A note about this. When doing a remodel, if you have the time and resources to act as the general contractor you can save a lot of money, but be prepared for frustrations finding good/affordable subcontractors. The winter weather was not cooperative so we had a couple of delays but the iDesign team was fantastic getting us back on track. I am huge on customer service and understand that any time humans are doing anything @&$^ happens. During installation we discovered some light scratches on the island top. The team returned, picked it up. Attempted to buff it out, but it wasn't looking good. IDesign cut a new slab for us and returned the following day with two matching cutting boards as a gift! In my mind what makes a great company is not that everything is absolutely perfect, but that when mistakes or curveballs get thrown, they take care of their customers. iDesign did this and the complete experience greatly exceeded our expectations from start to finish. We were all set and excited about our Countertop installation when things turned sour. The installers showed up one hour later than we were told and at first respected our property, but as time went on, they became less and less careful. Think they were becoming rushed when things really went down-hill. The cookstove (Jenn-air) didn't fit. The opening was 1/8 to 1/4 too small. They should have checked this before locking down the countertop and marring up the seam, but no. So now, they had to cut the opening larger and turn our house into a fine white dust workshop. It was horrible. You couldn't see for the dust. We cleaned for hours, and my wife has washed floors I think six times. I washed down everything but the walls which I am sure have a coating of that dust. Anyway, once that ordeal was over, they totally rushed the rest, because the Plumer was waiting. The Plumer came in with no mask, said he couldn't wear a mask, because he had had covid and can't breathe with a mask. My wife wasn't going to let him in, but I just wanted things over with and didn't have any idea how many days it would take to get a Plumer out here again. So, the first thing he says, do you have a phone number for the company, we have to call the installers back since they didn't drill the facet hole large enough. I'm thinking What The Hell! You work for the company and don't know who to call. Anyway, he all of a sudden knew who to call. The installers came back, and I thought my wife was going to Kill them as the dust from drilling the hole larger without using their vacuum cleaner could be seen streaming all the way across to nearly the far wall. Mind you the company only sells two types of facet. How is it they didn't know what size hole to drill the first time, nor that maybe they needed to check to see how the facet would fit. When they all left, after washing the counters three times and still finding rough spots and what felt like grit, I called the owner who promised to come right away. Next, we noticed they had left the old sink in the front yard. My wife told me she asked the Plumber to take it and he said he told the installers to take it. When the owner called back, I let him know about the sink, He couldn't come as promised but, promised to come the following morning with someone from the shop who could make the counter tops right. Well, that changed, and we ended up with one of the installers unannounced in the middle of our lunch. He cleaned the counter to my satisfaction and took the sink after telling me they always leave it for the Plumer. Our friends, who recommended these people to us, had different installer team and Plumer. They were very satisfied. read more

iDesign Granite did a great job for me even though I only needed three small remnants for three small areas in my home. JJ spent a lot of time showing me the remnants and explaining differences among the slabs, even though I showed up less than an hour before his store was scheduled to close. I enjoyed learning a lot about industry trends and dynamics, and appreciated his willingness to have those conversations. The proposal was sent quickly, at a reasonable price, and the installation was scheduled within a week after I signed the proposal. The guy who measured double-checked everything, and did a very good job except that he missed a small corner where the countertop needed to be notched. The three men who installed the granite and quartz cut the notch in my front yard. The leader definitely knew what he was doing, and made sure the other two men did what they needed to do and were very careful. The results are beautiful and I will recommend iDesign Granite to my friends. read more

IDesign replaced our old ugly counters with beautiful new granite. IDesign was the first granite place we inquired at, and shopped around a little bit before deciding we liked them the best, and told them so. The granite we liked was not in stock with IDesign but we found it at one of the other places we had shopped around at, told them, and they ordered the exact granite no problem and thanked us for choosing them. They seemed to really value our business and were committed to our satisfaction. They had a pretty quick turnover and everyone from Melissa, to JJ to those who installed the granite were very friendly and professional. Their prices were very fair and the granite was beautiful and really made my kitchen look brand new. They also were able to recommend people to install the tile backsplash I wanted. The only reason I took off one star is because of a miscommunication with Melissa about the time in which the granite would be installed, which was somewhat inconvenient for us as we had to plan to be at the house early and then wait around (we had not moved in yet, so it wasn't like we were already home). The old counter tops had a 5 inch backsplash that I did not want with the new counters. I declined having IDesign cut a new backsplash and told them I wanted the counter tops to go straight to the wall and that I would have tile backsplash installed at a later time. Well, the removal of the old 5 inch backsplash caused pretty significant damage to the wall, even ripping out the drywall down to the studs in several places. We were told that this was unavoidable by IDesign, however the tile guy we hired disagreed (not sure who to believe). It's wasn't that huge of a problem since we were covering the damage with tile but it did complicate that process somewhat, as it had to be repaired before laying tile. But other than that one minor time inconvenience and the wall damage, my experience with them was great. I would recommend them to anyone. read more
