The Ace brand push broom I purchased was defective -- the handle could not be threaded into the broom head. The pitch and size of the threads on the handle did not match the threads in the head. When I returned it, the manager treated me as though I were too stupid to know how to attach the handle. She tried it on another example of the same item, just jamming the handle in a bit when it wouldn't turn in and declaring it fit for service. I patiently explained the problem again and showed her why the handle was not, in fact, properly seated. She denied the problem. Further, she refused to make it right by trading the defective item for a better-quality broom in compensation for the extra time and trip I had to make. She grudgingly issued a refund on the defective item and suggested that I was being difficult. I suggest that this is not the way for a hometown business to treat its customers if it wants to lure them away from the big-box store in the next town over.

I would like to tell you my story of dealing with David Hicks and the Lake Anna Hardware company: I purchased a new 2022 Branson 2515H tractor with backhoe, roof and thumb. I broke a hinge on the backhoe. Talked to David and he said no problem and warranted a new hinge for my backhoe. Next time I broke a boom, and again David warranted it out without argument. As time passed, I broke the hinge again. I did not have to ask David for anything. David jumped right on the problem and warranted me out an entire new Backhoe. I have never heard of a car or tractor company replacing your entire unit without even being asked. I have dealt with car companies on warranted repairs before and you always have to complain and then they want you to justify things before they will do repairs. But not at Lake Anna Hardware. You have a problem and their team fixes it. Never have I ever had any company offer an entire whole new unit. I didn't even ask David for it. He just felt it was the right thing to do. A new backhoe costs around $7,000. I have never dealt with such a great company. I totally recommend Lake Anna Hardware and Branson for any of your needs. Both companies work hard to keep their customers happy.

The staff is friendly and the service is attentive. While we have the big blue hardware store in town, I can find about everything I need at Tractor Supply. We have been getting our propane there for our camping trips since they opened. They typically have good prices and you can't beat the service. Recently it was grass seed time and Tractor Supply had the best price on the Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue. While picking that up I noticed they had just opened a self service dog wash. Typically if we wanted a self service dog wash it would be at least a 25 minute drive to the other side of town. Having Tractor Supply 10 minutes from the house made this super convenient. We brought our dog back to the dog wash about a week later. They have two metal dog was tubs with steps for larger dogs you can't pick up. They have a selection of about 4 different shampoos. The one feature that I like that the other location doesn't have are the grooming tables. The adjustable height tables allow you to properly dry and groom at a height that doesn't kill your back. They provide brushes, combs, etc but I would rather use my own that don't have hair from a previous dog. The dryer also reaches the grooming tables. I think I will return just for the convenience, but know to bring some of my own supplies next time. All in all, Tractor Supply is a great addition to the neighborhood.

I got there and could not find it for $169 and I showed her the sale from my phone from the web. She called customer service who said i could bring to customer service and they would match the price advertised for their store. I went up to pay and suddenly Michael who works in that department came up and started questioning where I saw the sale price. He told me that I probably saw it from another store outside of their district and the price could not be honored. He had ME go on my phone and find the price. I was with my dog and had an appointment, why could he not look on his phone? So i logged in finally and found the sale price and then he took several minutes to see if the model matched which of course it did. He was pretty rude and then I had to wait for a mananger to over ride the price and after 5 minutes I asked how long it would be and the girl at the register lacked any personality and simply said "he is with another customer" and I said "you must have another manager to override" and then they called Tracy who also had to look online which took some time and finally she said "we will match that price" and I said "you are matching your own price in your own store". I felt that Michael just came out of the blue and doubted everything I said, making me feel like I was lying. Also, Michael should of told Tracy that the price was indeed $169 instead of just standing there. I was probably inline for 20 minutes due to the incompetence of the front end customer service along with the rudeness of Michael. And this is exactly why people shop on Amazon, to avoid such incompetence and aggravation.
