Last week I drove from Burlington to Bennington. My father was having surgery. I realized as we…read morewere driving over the mountain from Wilmington that my tire pressure light was reading 17 rather than 35! I dropped my father off and immediately began to look for a station with air. After finding Earl's, I frantically began to look through my car for $2.00 in quarters. Counting nickels & dimes I went inside and met Jesse. I asked for change, but he quickly escorted me to a bay where he filled all my tires! I asked how much for all 4 but he declined. I began to cry as I was feeling vulnerable due to my reason in Bennington. I shook his hand and thanked him for his genuine kindness....something more people should have. Thank you Jesse!!!!!!!

Bud (the owner) was exactly the kind of person I was hoping to find--highly competent, honest, and willing to go well beyond the extra mile. He managed to find a new alternator for my ten-year-old Saturn (which took calls to several suppliers). He drove me and my passengers to the shopping center down the road so we could get lunch while he fixed the car, and drove back to pick us up once the car was ready. He made sure I understood the warranty on the part, and how I could get warranty service from any NAPA repair facility (and that they could call him and he would vouch for me if necessary). I have high standards as a customer, and I don't give a five-star rating lightly, but Godfroy's definitely earned it!

They came to me 5 minutes later and told me that there was a broken wire and they had to fail me. The light was still original, it was working last week, and that compartment had never been opened before. The wire was bright, shiny copper. It was clear it had just broken. They charged me $35, gave me a reject sticker, and told me they couldn't do anything. The kids doing my inspection were fresh out of highschool. Now I will have to pay probably $200 to get the wire fixed and I still don't have my inspection. Go somewhere with real mechanics and save yourself the potential problems.

Don't Buy a Car here!! The only mechanic here I can speak on is Mike Johnson. He is very good and…read moreI've worked with him for years. However, they sold me an absolute lemon. I wish id just bought a new car instead. I paid $4000 for a 2002 VW Jetta. They told me it was in great shape and everything had been replaced, fixed etc... Maybe, but I've had it less than a year and its had multiple transmission leaks, windshield wiper motor blew and needed to be replaced, starter needed to be replaced, lower control rods need to be replaced, the turn signal electronics needed to be replaced. I cant help but think Tim and Co. took us for a ride here. I've had to put over 2000$ of work into the car in less than a year and now it needs 1300$ worth of more work done. I'm going to drive it into the ground and scrap it. Mike Johnson has always done very solid work for me BUT be very wary buying a vehicle here. Heed this warning, they will sell you a lemon and act like they're doing you a favor. 1 Star.

This time the maintenance required was for a new starter, which was the original part and that meant it required some serious coaxing to "free up" so it could be replaced. My auto was towed to Keith Nichols Monday late morning and by that afternoon I already had a call advising me the car was done! I don't think I've ever gotten better service and the price was exactly where I expected it to be WITHOUT any surprises. I cannot stress enough how rock solid this service center is. The Nichols' honesty is the only thing I hold in higher esteem than their service. Len, you taught your children well and I am grateful once again. Thank you all for allowing me to continue enjoying this classic old car. Sincere regards, PMA

I was obviously taken advantage of being i am a woman and that was completely WRONG. I also brought my car to two different mechanics that said the same thing. Thankfully they refunded me back the money yesterday 2/3/22 to be able to pay for my car to get fixed somewhere else.
