We hired him to change/ resurface kitchen cabinets that were old. He steered us toward the right kind of panels to purchase with the right measurements. He fit the new panels, primed, and painted them at a fraction of the price you would expect from anyone doing kitchen works. Everardo is extremely competent, clean, and his prices are "old" prices, when contractors used to be honest and did the job without all the 'marketing' and 'price inflating' that has, unfortunately, become a norm. He was great and bought samples of the colors I selected, and when he painted them on a small area, I realized on color was too bright and one too dark. So, he got additional samples of similar colors, painted on until I found the colors that were prefect for me. His men were prompt, quick and neat. The price was very competitive. Although…read morewe were referred to Larry by a high-end builder here in the Bay Area and trusted his recommendation, we still got several estimates from other painters for comparison purposes. That said Larry definitely stood out from the pack. He understood the scope of our project best and his suggestions/guidance was very helpful. Him and his team were very professional and patient and took the time to explain every step which helped us better understand the timeline, amount of work, and materials needed to complete the job and therefore the costs. It's clear he has very particular and demanding clients and he kept us at ease with his commitment to customer service. Larry and his team definitely demonstrated their skill and we truly appreciated their attention to detail and attitude towards perfection. Our project had a tremendous amount of finish work and after they left we couldn't find one drip, splatter, missing hardware (they had all of the doors off their hinges, window cranks and latches were removed, etc.), unclean window, or overspray. They used the garage to stage their equipment and store paint and left it perfectly neat, organized, and clean. Larry started and more importantly finished on time (we had a time crunch with movers) and was very responsive to phone calls and texts throughout the project. He even came back AFTER our move to touch up dings and smudges left behind by the movers. Consumer beware: I…read morehired Joubert for a fence rebuild, possible fence repair. Initially I was impressed with his quick response to my call for an estimate. His price seemed very reasonable and he agreed to do the work within a couple of days of my call. Our issues with his service came the day of the work. He said I didn't need a fence rebuild, rather, a repair was all that was needed. He quoted a different price for the repair. I had requested the day before multiple times through a phone call and also through text that he write down the costs(so I'd have it in writing and for reference to discuss with my spouse). He never followed through! That should've been my first clue. I agreed to the new price, the workers performed the fence repair. Joubert stayed briefly but said the guys were knowledgeable and have built plenty of fences before and knew what to do. After the work was finished the two workers left. I went to examine the work. My first complaint was sawdust from their work was all over the patio and side walkway where they worked. Upon closer inspection nails, about 10 were found tossed in my yard in the dirt. I called Joubert and told him that the workers left a mess. He stated that they probably were expecting him to come clean the job site(nice quick witty response although unlikely true). I further discussed with him how I was wondering how the price changed so drastically from a couple days ago. He stated because he hired the two workers and the cost of the repair was the reason. (Again, this should've been explained and costs should've been in writing!) Then to further add insult to the job performed, come to find out about 5 days later when the sprinkler system was programmed to water the landscape we discovered a river of water from damage to a main water pipe from their shoddy work. We immediately told Joubert and he wanted to send his workers to fix the issue. We were adamant that we did not want him to return to fix the pipe due to poor customer service and workmanship. Up to this point he has not provided any invoice or reference for the work he did. In fact, on a phone call the day of the work he stated, "Just send the money and I'll send the invoice". Many of you who may read this review may say you're willing to take a chance on his company because of his great reviews. In fact, that's why I did. But don't say I didn't warn you. And also, learn from me. Get things put in writing and save yourself some grief even if it's just a handyman you're hiring. One of the reasons we hired Joubert was to fix our fence gate which was out of line and wouldn't close. His workers used a metal bracket and what look like drywall anchors to realign and hold the fence by securing to our house. We just noticed that the anchors are coming loose and the gate is starting to come out of alignment again causing the gate to rub against the fence. I would attribute this to what looks like a hack job in general. Plus, you can now see the two big holes in our stucco where the anchors were secured.
