When visiting McCall, I had a hard time not pumping some serious iron. Thanks to Yelp, I was able…read moreto track down what I found to be the only gym in town. Visiting fees at Rudy's were a bit excessive in my mind ($16 a day!) for what you get. And although the gym was next to completely dead when I was working out, the price seemed nominal compared to the peace and ability to get a good workout in made up for it. Most of the equipment/machines were not state of the art or anything fancy, but I found that there was more than enough equipment to get a good workout in. They have a standard set of dumbbells up to 105+lbs, a cable stack machine, some weight benches, a bench press, a Smith machine, and from what I could tell, a complete set of machines. Cardio seemed a bit lacking, but if it is always as quiet as I experienced, it wouldn't make sense to add on to their collection of a couple treadmills and ellipticals. Also, upstairs in their group fitness studio, they had some TRX's and a bunch of spin bikes. If the gym stayed as dead as it was when I was there, it would be a true gem. The space is pretty small and I could see how it could feel cramped extremely fast with only a handful of people. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating and I'm thankful I was able to at least find a place to workout in.
