Then, Lukas, Angel and Ricky confirmed exactly what they were going to do, as this was a large job. It included pressure washing/soft washing the entire house, gutters, windows, solar panels, patio, walkways, and our dock. They were very friendly, professional, polite, thorough and were very careful with all the patio furniture, plants, landscaping and any fixtures around the house. The results were truly amazing! Our house looks like it was freshly painted. The windows, gutters, patio and solar panels are sparkling clean and our 18-year-old dock looks like new. Beautiful job! Everything came out spotless and squeaky clean! We would highly recommend Marin Exterior Cleaning for ANY of your outdoor cleaning needs.

It took the crew merely 2 days strip the roof down and install the new roofs with ridges and skylights. My house was not a small project either: two stories with skylights, and solar panels (not replaced) which had to be torn off. Patrick Newbold, the Regional Sales executive presented me with the contract, and guided me through all the options that were available. One of the most important features that NPR has over the other roofers is the excellence of their product - for me besides the absolute "nice price" of the entailed work was "the shingles". They are of very exceptional high-quality. Check with Patrick on this and you will understand completely I assure you. The entire crew, Armando, Francisco, Rodrigo and the entire team performed the prep work, demolition and final cleanup with an almost surgical precision and efficiency... No exaggeration! The owner and company CEO Barry Murrin stopped by and evaluated the project, and helped me with the procurement of the solar skylights, which I thought was a nice reassuring hands on approach to be sure. Please check out the pictures: the high quality of the product is readily apparent.

This was truly the worst, most unprofessional hack job I have EVER experienced. Despite many correspondence requesting to make it right, I was ignored and left with this nightmare. Neither Kyle nor Ken ever even bothered to come see what sort of job the two flunkies did which so poorly represents their business and reflects upon their reputation. I even could have such a better job myself with NO experience whatsoever. It felt as though this job was to be an example of everything NOT to do and how to do everything horribly and perfectly wrong. This business has absolutely NO integrity, accountability, takes no pride in their work and treats their customers like dirt with no respect whatsoever. I've learned that they did this same thing to one of my neighbors who also received NO resolution and had to hire another company to do their entire gutter job over also. Shameful. See photos.

A couple of weeks ago someone from Bright Side Marin rang my doorbell to see if I was interested in…read morewindow washing or power washing. My initial reaction was "no" but with houseguests on the way I quickly changed course. My windows needed washing actually, quite badly. A price was agreed to verbally and in the week ahead, via text and phone, we set a date and time for the process. I had read of Bright Side Marin on Next Door. It was started by a recent graduate of the local high school and employs other folks of that age. I I like the idea of supporting a local, young entrepreneur but want to provide a couple observations/caveats that may matter to others: * I have had my windows cleaned professionally in the past. Though the windows are equally clean, this cleaning took far longer than any previous cleaning. This wasn't a deal-breaker but good to know if you're the type who prefers workers who get the job done quickly. * The job began with 2 people but someone else had the necessary tall ladder and they weren't here at the agreed upon start time. The work could still begin and it did, even without the ladder. Later, one of the workers left before he'd completed what he was supposed to and he'd failed to do wash some of the windows for which he was responsible. This all then became the responsibility of the remaining worker, who diligently dealt with it all until 2 additional workers (including the owner, Lucas) showed up. I was left with the impression that some of Bright Side's staff are more diligent than others and was happy for the hard work of Jameson and the follow-up by Lucas. Bright Side Marin felt pretty much how I'd expect a business run by and with young adults to operate. It was less professional than more seasoned businesses with long-time staff but my windows are very clean for what I thought a fair price and in the end, that's what matters most to me.

I've waited many months to leave this review in the hope that it wouldn't be necessary. Our family…read morehas worked with Peter and his wife and business partner Kimi in the past. We connected with their son Chad last summer after he took over the family business. Chad and his team came through and did a bunch of work for us over eight days, and for the most part they did it well. The tree removal work was really excellent (and they did a lot of that). The pruning was more aggressive than I would have liked - they stripped my oaks pretty bare, not in a way that did long term harm but in a way that other arborists have commented on negatively and that have left the oaks much less beautiful than they were. Also, and even more importantly, Chad bailed out before completing the project and stopped returning our calls, texts, and emails once he had his check. The work had two phases - the main phase, on our property, and the smaller but most important phase - the light pruning of a neighbor's towering oak, which over 15 years has now almost completely obscured our once-stunning view of Mt. Tam. We made clear to Chad up front that the view restoration was the main reason for the job and the goal that most of the other work was pointing towards. We connected Chad with the neighbors and, though his follow-through was slow, he told us that he'd had positive communications with the neighbors and that they seemed open to the pruning. When the on-site work was finished, it became impossible to reach Chad. We called, texted, and emailed him many times about the view issue and got no reply until 4 months later, when he sent us the final bill for the job. Having had experience with his lack of follow-through, we said we'd prefer to hold off on payment until the view restoration was completed. Chad replied that it would be "silly" to hold up payment over what would be no more than "a couple hours" of work. He said he would comp the work in order to be paid sooner. We should've trusted our gut. You can probably guess the rest of the story. Months of calls, texts, emails, and NADA. Like a bad boyfriend, Chad GHOSTED entirely, leaving our bank account many thousands smaller and our home a room with no view. We really liked Chad personally and gave him so many chances to make things right, and he just dropped the ball and stopped communicating entirely. Chad and his his parents (Peter and Kimi) are kind and lovely people, and it makes me sad to have to write this review, but people should learn from our mistake and not confuse friendliness with professionalism. While on the job, Chad was friendly, ingratiating, and attentive, but once he was off site, he was gone. My advice is be sure he completes EVERYTHING you agree to before you pay your final bill. I hope that he will grow into this job and learn to do better. I really believed that he had that capacity.
