Made an online order via https://www.lovingblooms.com/ for my aunt's birthday, I live in California and placed it at 3pm EST. I called and a wonderful bilingual gentleman, by the name of Carlos, personally ensured me he would deliver by 7pm in the Bay Ridge area. Great customer service during a pandemic. Very satisfying to hear. If all goes well I will be calling for more deliveries! read more

I placed an late night online order for a standing floral spray. I called the next afternoon just to confirm and the gentleman Lazarus who answered had confirm it was completed and already delivered! I was so happy because the transaction was convenient, the price was very affordable & the service exceeded my expectation. The floral arrangement FYI was for a funeral that I was unable to attend so I was very anxious about it being delivered. Also my friend sent a photo and it looked exactly like the picture online. read more

I absolutely LOVED the flowers you al created for our wedding on Saturday, June 27th!! I had originally intended to do my own bouquets and boutonnieres but about two weeks before he wedding I was getting nervous and drove into Brooklyn to look for a florist.... McAteer was right by the church we were getting married in so I thought I'd check them out and i'm sooooo glad I did!! They created EXACTLY the flower bouquets and boutonnieres that I had imagined for the big day. Thanks again for a wonderful job and for making our special day perfect!!! read more

Called frazzled & ordered an arrangement for my Stepfather's memorial service. Requested red, white, & blue flowers because my Stepfather is a Military Veteran who fought in the Vietnam war. I was upset for my Mom & siblings. I could barely speak or think straight. This wasn't a problem because Lazarus was patient, kind, & accommodating. He helped me with the entire process, calmed me down, & advised exactly what should be sent to honor my family. A beautiful, perfect, & lovely arrangement was delivered earlier than expected with a handwritten note. They went above & beyond during a difficult time. Kindness is rare nowadays & sincerely appreciated. This florist will be my first call the next time I need to send flowers in Brooklyn again. read more

Lame. A complete rip off. They sold my partner a bouquet of baby's breath for $40. God bless their heart for not knowing any better. But never again. I feel like they took advantage. You can find better arrangements making your own at Trader Joes, Costco or even the bodega for the same price. Smh. read more

McAteer Florist is the best! The bouquets are always beautiful and I love the "burlap" they use to wrap around the flowers. It really dresses the arrangement up! This is a very professional and creative florist and look forward to workjng with them a read more

I've been coming to this business for almost 4 years. It's absolutely the best florist in the Bay Ridge areas. Prices are on point compared to other places in the area and the staff is very attentive to my needs. I hope they stay in business for a long time! read more

Hands down some of the coolest designs I've had done were at McAteer Florists, they can do ANYTHING. This side of South Brooklyn, they are the way to go for all your floral needs large and small, they seriously can do it all. They're brilliant. I've brought them some super high end designs and they can manage it with alternative flowers and do some unique arrangements that I've NEVER been disappointed with. They also accommodate any request I've had (and I have had some weird ones). My mother in law is a floral designer who worked at my beloved Belle Fleur in Manhattan, but alas she lives in LI so if I need a design quickly I need a local shop. I cannot recommend the team at McAteer Florists more highly; I have super-high expectations and standards and they exceed them every single time. Also worth noting is their creative and beautiful window designs that they rotate frequently sometimes with live birds, woodland creatures and delights that you really have to stand and look at to see. read more

I'm not sure where to start. It was not my wedding and maybe I had different expectations of this place but I'll just tell you the facts. The bridesmaid flowers were loosely (poorly) wrapped with the ribbon. There was plastic sticking out of the wrapped ribbon! Not sure why there was plastic wrapper. Maybe a "florist trick", but at least they could have wrapped it neater to hide it. The bridesmaids bouquet was made with Fresh white roses with fake silk leaves. This was my first experience with fake and real being in the same bouquet. And the roses on the sides were snapping off even before we started handling them. Wish I had taken pictures to show proof of the "messiness" Again, it wasn't my wedding, but at least McAteer could have done a better job with the presentation whether the flowers were fake or not. Thats all I have to say about this. Aside from the bouquets, the centerpieces and sweetheart table arrangements were very well done. So, I give this place a solid 3 stars. read more

I recently planned a retirement party for a coworker and three other coworkers were honored at this same party. (4 total) I called McAteer explaining there was a budget to follow and needed table centerpieces and three bouquets along with a dozen roses arranged in a vase for the occasion. Lazarus took my order over the phone with just a brief description of what I wanted. Everything was delivered to the restaurant before I arrived and I was blown away with the bouquets, arrangements and roses. They did a magnificent job. The arrangements far exceeded my expectations. For artistic design, price and amazing service they can't be beat. I highly recommend McAteer Florist. read more

Mcateer Florist - Beautiful! - Florists Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I really like this florist. Clean with a nice variety of Seasonal flowers and Non-seasonal flowers. Years ago he put together a nice arrangement shaped in a golf bag for my deceased landlord who loved playing golf. It was one of the best arrangements arrangements there. Just recently I just ordered a nice arrangement for my wife's birthday and they told me it would be there in less than two hours and it was. Thank you guyfor that read more

We recently ordered flowers from McAteer for my Mom's 85th Birthday Party that was being held at a nearby restaurant. This is the first time that I have used this florist...honestly out of convenience. We ordered small and medium table arrangements made of purple roses and white hydrangeas. The flowers were so fresh and alive, really nicely done...I am impressed with the workmanship and artistry that went into all the work. The flowers arrived with more than enough time to spare, set up lovely on all the tables...Everyone at the party commented on the beautiful work that was done...I will happily continue to use McAteer for my future events. read more

Been going here for years. Flowers are always fresh and arrangements are always lovely. Currently moved abroad but still order flowers from mcateers for my mother who lives close by. I was highly disappointed with whoever answered my call today who made me feel rushed and unappreciated. If you don't feel like dealing with people and you're having a bad, perhaps hand the phone over to your colleague? So rude. read more

While staying with a friend during Hurricane Sandy, I wanted to purchase something special for her apartment. McAteer Florist was full of fresh, beautiful flowers and plants. Lazarus is great to work with. He worked with our budget and created beautiful arrangements that were the crowning jewels of the reception. The centerpieces were arrangements of hydrangeas and roses, the flower headband with garden roses, and the bouquet was lush with peonies and roses. I've been here three times and haven't been let down yet. Great both for mother's day and prom. Close to the train and a great family run business. read more

Really awesome manager and customer service. When I went back to see if they could fix some of the flowers I had picket up from them on mother's day, the manager was waiting outside to greet me even though they were just about to close shop. No one gave me a hard time about the purchase. The manager personally fixed up a bunch of fresh flowers and set everything right. My wife loves their arrangements and would go back there again. read more

Lazarus was extremely helpful! I was able to come visit the flower shop a few times to go over design, colors, and pricing. Everything was very affordable and he was accommodating so that I could use my own vases and mirrors for the centerpieces (I did not want to rent them because I knew my guests would walk off with all of them and I would have none to return to Mcateer). He let me customize the type of flowers to use for bouquets, corsages, and buttonholes, as well as the colors. Highly recommend this place! read more

I ordered some flowers online to be delivered to a friend in Bay Ridge. I wanted to pick a place that was close to where my friend lives and also had good reviews. My research paid off. My friend was extremely happy with the arrangement (High Style Blooms Arrangement). It was delivered promptly and in excellent condition. My only complaint is that some places don't charge for delivery, and this one charges $15, which seems a little high. But paying the extra price was worth it because they did a really nice job. read more

Dishonest! The guy working today pocketed $5 bucks from me. $5 does not mean much but the principle. If he wanted a tip for opening a refrigerator door he could've asked for it. Count your change before leaving this place. read more

I'm really surprised by the good reviews about this florist shop. I had such a bad experience here. This was my first time coming here. When I walked in, nobody greeted me. Mind you, there was nobody in there. The guy who I think was the owner literally looked at me and didn't say anything. Like hello? I'm looking to buy flowers for a cake. Then one of his employees comes out from the cashier area and looks at me. Is there something on my face? I wonder if it's because I am Asian. I hope they weren't discriminating because that would be so wrong. So I say hi and tell him what I'm looking for and he seems like he doesn't want to work or help me. I ask him questions about the flowers and he doesn't even seem like he wants to answer. I was going to buy some flowers but then I looked more closely at him and the owner and I realized they weren't wearing face masks. The guy was even rubbing his nose with his fingers/hands and those fingers/hand touches the flowers!! Oh my god!! Once I saw that, I was like ok I don't want these flowers from here anymore if you can't even wear a face mask when you're handling my flowers. So disgusting. I went and found another florist in the area and they were so kind and welcoming. They also wore their face masks, which was important to me, especially during these times! Take your business elsewhere for flowers. There are much nicer vendors with prettier selections. read more
