McAlister's is one of my favorite places to dine and especially for carryout. My favorite sandwich at McAlister's is the Turkey Bacon Avocado, and I always add extra avocado because it is always going to be fresh. Today some co-workers and I had carryout. The service is always courteous and professional. The atmosphere is conducive for dining in solo , or a date night and it's always kid friendly. The staff here is absolutely phenomenal. We live 45 minutes away and we drive here instead of the ones of the coast (which are not good at all). This locations food is top tier and has always been consistent every single time we have came. I couldn't recommend a better place to eat than here. The inside is also very clean and the restrooms are as well. All around 10/10 read more

The French dip here was phenomenal!! It's so hard to find a French dip in the first place so I was so pleased that it was cooked to perfection!! The roast beef was savory and comforting. The roll it was on had a light crunch. The au jus was just perfect. The staff was also very friendly and the atmosphere is casual and clean. Will be back!! read more

Update: You still have to check your order when picking up at the window, ask for pickles even though they were on the order, and the new thing is getting salad in the wrong container (has happened last 2 visits). Food is still good though. read more

Just opened in town, and so of course it's been busy! But they do a great job of getting your food out fast and it was well prepared! I had the turkey jalapeño crunch sandwich which was delicious. I've also tried the Mac and cheese, loaded potato and chicken salad! All were delicious! Great addition to Lucedale! read more

Lucedale, Mississippi location. There were 3 diners in the restaurant. At least 6 employees that I saw. No one at the register, we waited for at least 2 minutes. The girl in the kitchen saw us but did not greet us. Finally, a young girl came out and did not apologize for our wait. Forgot something in our order. A man that was waiting in the drive through came in and said they needed a bell because he waited for so long. The same girl who took our order told him she saw him and hoped he would come inside. She was friendly but they were not really caring about their job. Train your employees better McAlister's. The place also smelled of dirty wet towels. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. After a 15 minute wait in line to place our order, we waited another 35 minutes for food. The sandwiches were good, but hardly worth almost an hour wait. Terribly understaffed. If they had enough folks working,it would probably be an awesome spot. read more

The staff here are really friendly. Service is good. They have the best lemonades. Blueberry is definitely my favorite. The location is good as well as the parking. I recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through or just looking to have lunch with family/friends. read more

I will never eat here again!! We went around 2 after lunch rush just me my husband and two kids... first my husband got his food about 10 minutes later my son... Little later my daughter... I waited 30 minutes for mine only to find out it was just sitting on the counter they literally had 5 customers yet a group of the workers friends came in and they had their food immediately!! Wow!! I normally order from here every two weeks, I LOVE there salads but today I guess their phone lines were down and they posted it on their Facebook page so no big deal.. well, I pulled up to the window and I sat there for a good 7-8 minutes and literally so nobody. I drove back around the parking lot and came back to the window and still so nobody until aome people walked in. When the young lady came to take me order she asked what can she get for me so I told her then she asked for me to hold on so I said okay In a confused tone. The girl walks up the the other girl working there and they was laughing for a good 3-4 minutes so I just pulled off because I found it strange that she did that!? NOTHING like any McAlisters I've ever been too:( I would urge anyone thinking of dining at this location to WAIT for either new management or until they "get it together" with the crew they have. I ordered to go and THANKFULLY didn't drive all of the way home without checking my order. I ordered two complete meals and received two boxes- each with only a sandwich!! And the sandwiches weren't even made as ordered. No pickle, No Chips, No Potato Salad, No Au Jus, No additional Au Jus..... literally just the sandwiches. When I brought it back, the manager basically smirked and said they were out of all of those things- and that since I ordered online there was no way they could let me know. So, they actually charged me EXTRA for items they didn't even have and never thought maybe they should adjust my order or even let me know??‍ So, yes, not only did they sell me A French Dip with NO Au Jus- ‍ they charged me extra for ADDITIONAL Au Jus and allowed me to pay for it and drive away with NO MENTION WHATSOEVER about them being out of it Had the "manager" acted in any way concerned, I may have chalked it up as just poor service and hoped it was a fluke. Tonight I used the app to order my take-out salad. Once again I was totally disappointed. They messed up my order.... Again! Here's the problem... they gave me salad with nuts on it.... AGAIN. Am I allergic? No. However, I could be or my child could be. I can understand mistakes. Tonight was my 5th app order and my second time to get the wrong food. Once home I realized that the salad was for someone else so I started trying to call and let them know. After trying numerous times I gave up and ate the meat off of the salad but there was some kind of cheese on it that was less than desirable. I decided to try one more time to call and finally got someone to answer. I requested a refund but won't know for a few days if this promise to refund will be fulfilled. I realize people make mistakes and I am ok with letting a restaurant make it right. Tonight I tried to do just that but to no avail.
