This is the second time that I have tried to come to Star nails to get my nails done. They always have the sign saying Walk-ins welcome they're always posting that they welcome walk-ins but then say they don't have no time to come back another day.

Very happy with my nails. I ended up chipping my nails and came here as a walk in. They squeezed me in immediately and I love the result. The color is exactly what I wanted. I will definitely come back again.

Me and my mother went there about a week ago. We just moved down here from Florida and it's only 3-5 minutes away from my house,so we decided to go. The people are very nice and all but the only things about it were 1, they didn't clean between my mother, me, and the girl we were rotating with. And on top of that, me and my mother got a fill in and I'm pretty sure it's just the brand that they use, the nail polish brand but anytime in the shower or when our hands are wet... the nail polish will start to peal off and all it does is gets worse becaus since you dry your hands or do something involving your hands, the polish peels. The picture is only my thumb because the rest of my fingers I clipped down because I'm getting them removed.

The best part for me was the cleanliness of this place. They have a huge autoclave (tool cleaner) in plain sight and the tools they use come individually wrapped . . . perfect for someone as OCD as myself :) They also serve you water or soda as you sit and relax. Great place!

I experienced a terrible nail job with "dip gel". I wanted regular gel but the tech couldn't understand me. It had been awhile since I'd had a manicure and frankly needed some guidance but that's not possible with someone who doesn't understand you. Only days later my "dip gel" polish cracked apart on a couple of nails. I came in to get it repaired and the tech and owner sure didn't seem happy about being held accountable. And of course blamed the cracking on me. The owner is another can of worms. His staff sadly seemed afraid of him. He comes off phony and seems to love money more than anything else. read more

I went to this place with my friends, we walked in and got started on pretty quickly we asked for regular polish 3 TIMES and they STILL gave us gel me not knowing the difference I said they looked good. the nails did come out good but not like the pictures we showed them. dont recommend. this has happened to me multiple times not at this specific place but nail techs like to mess up on purpose to get more coin if you do go here be very clear!!! read more

The nail tech ripped my acrylic nails off to redo them, honestly destroying my nail bed in the process. I even asked her if she was going to do that for every single nail and she just shrugged and kept going. I've never had that experience at any salon I've ever been too. My nails HURT and STILL hurt hours after leaving the salon. read more

I had heard good things about Michael and wanted to get my nails done while visiting my sister in Clovis. Made an appointment but the receptionist was SO RUDE that I decided to cancel my appointment. She claimed that Michael could complete my gel polish change in 15 minutes and when I said my nails have never been done that quickly, she said "I'll just put you down for 9am and Michael can "deal with it" when he gets here". How is this person employed? This is the first person you deal with when bringing the salon business and she is driving people away with her disgusting attitude. Maybe she shouldn't work there if she's so unhappy. Will gladly get my nails done elsewhere. Her attitude was so horrible it's actually almost funny. read more

Best nail place in Clovis hands down. First french tips I have been happy with since I got to Clovis a year ago. MC star has better prices, availability, quality, and techs who will actually take their time to make sure you are satisfied. I paid less for a soak off and full set here than I do for a fill at USA. And with the soak off here, they don't leave you sitting in the acetone for 30 mins, much better for your nails. At MC Star, I can afford to do my nails AND toes again. Me and my mother went there about a week ago. We just moved down here from Florida and it's only 3-5 minutes away from my house,so we decided to go. The people are very nice and all but the only things about it were 1, they didn't clean between my mother, me, and the girl we were rotating with. From the moment I walked in, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I scheduled a last minute appointment and they were kind enough to squeeze me in. I have been here a couple of times and I am from Portales, the workers are very sweet and they do such a great job. Unfortunately the owners are very rude to their employees, especially the guy who does acrylics. Not that long ago I had gotten a full set and he talked very poorly about his employees and it made me very upset because I have been here a couple of times and the girls have done great but that not only makes the employees look bad but that also makes him look way worse for talking about them to customers. I believe that if you're a owner and have employees you should treat them right in front of customers and not talk bad about them regardless if they are doing something wrong. That man is very unprofessional. I will not be coming back. read more

I am from out of town and I called to make an appointment and they got me in same day. They were super nice and I got way more than I was expecting for a good price. Super basic pedicure is $25, regular pedicure is $45 and a gel pedicure is $65. read more

I don't do fake nails, so I have no experience with those services. This is a review for a mani/pedi. Really nice experience compared to other Clovis nail salons. Nail techs are really sweet. I never feel like I am getting conned into a more expensive treatment or rushed out like at other nail salons. I like that it is a small place, never overcrowded, and they don't chat it up too much, allowing for a quiet relaxing experience. More than one option for gel polish too, like French or Shellac. Best nail treatment for the price. Even the basic $35 mani-pedi (my usual choice) comes with a really nice hot stone leg/foot and hand massage and choice of color. Polish options were good and polish/paint job was the best I have had in a while. It lasted a whole month. Probably would have lasted longer but my nail growth was showing so I removed it. If you pay cash they will do 10% off for military. read more

Highly recommend, after receiving a botched job at one of the larger salons in town I came to Star Nails to have it fixed and they were more than accommodating and willing to help me. The salon is very clean, the staff is very friendly and both my pedicure and manicure were excellent. They took the time to make sure the job is done right. From my understanding walk ins are a go, but a man in there told me he couldn't do me or my mother because he was "busy". There was hardly anyone there that day. They closed at five... They fix my nail and it's been 13 hours and 30 minutes when I had my nails done by appointment the previous day. The lady at the front desk tells me "if my nail chips again and they will charge me. I am NEVER EVER going back to Oasis Nail and Spa! It's not worth your gas money and I spent a whole day going back and forth to get my nails fixed all day Thursday. Now my other thumb nail is peeling and I am not going back to get it fixed!

With the help of some photo examples, the stylist understood exactly what I wanted and gave me a wonderful trim with proper layers. My hair feels so healthy. The dead weight and dry ends are gone. I am thrilled that my hair wasn't chopped too short. My hair looks great no matter how I style it. The salon is very cute and the owner is really nice and provides a lovely experience.

I came here because i was in urgent need of full set and it was the only place open. price not too…read morebad (30 dollars for full set acrylics). BUT.. the lady doing my nails filed my cuticle with the e-file and made me bleed!! she then put glue over the cut which is completely unsanitary. she also filed my natural nail down so thin and put primer right after which stung so badly. the staff was nice, although i waited about 20 minutes while at least 5 people were standing around doing nothing. my nails all came out different shapes but not too bad. wouldnt come back though

I'm from out of town visiting family and decided to stop by to get pedi and my nails done. During my stay at Star nails I had a great experience. This was my first time getting my nails dipped and they came out amazing. All in all, the staff made me feel comfortable and they were awesome. I will definitely return when I come back to Clovis. read more
