I'm from Albuquerque, but I'm currently on a temporary assignment in Clovis. I had done my own nails with regular polish before leaving because I did not have time to go to the salon before I left. It didn't take long for my nails to begin to break and become tacky-looking. I was doing damage control, clip off a nail piece there, file a tear here, etc., when my thumbnail broke off below the quick. I went on like this for a few days, and I kept catching the nail on things, making it worse. I decided I couldn't wait any longer because I would end up tearing the nail off, and it would be painful and bloody. Being in a new city, I went on yelp and looked up nail salons. TJ Nails and Spa did not have a huge number of reviews, but they were all positive. What won me over, though, was all the beautiful pictures of nails. I called, and they had openings for later the same day. I made an appointment for 4 pm. When I got there, the outside of the building didn't look like much, but it was the cutest place when I walked in. I got a warm and cozy vibe. After I signed in, I was directed to Paige's station right away. She was sweet and patient with all my prattling. She asked me what I was looking for at each step of the manicure. How did I want my nails shaped, did I want my cuticles cleaned up, and which nail did I want as an accent. She was careful of the torn nail and glued it so that it wouldn't tear off. She did an excellent job! I will definitely be back before I go home.

Both services were great and the customer service was amazing. Also, the salon is very cute and clean. They also offer you a beverage when you check in. I love my nails! I know some styles can get really complicated especially my request for ombre French tips but they NAILED (pun intended) it. The vibe is nice inside, everyone was very friendly, and they are very talented nail techs. They are also very military friendly. I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time and especially not in Clovis so I was nervous at first but this was the best nails I've ever gotten done!

To all the men out there that think this kind of thing is just for the ladies, I have news for you...they've been keeping this a secret!!! You need a pedicure, that's all there is to it...and TJ's will take care of you! Tammy (not sure how your name is spelled, so sorry :-|) was wonderfully meticulous and careful with my ugly feet, Marie was cheerful and genuine, and Cody was very considerate and kind. The experience was liking visiting family and of course their work left me knowing I will return soon. It was my first time getting a pedicure/manicure and I wish I had done this many years ago. I scheduled an appointment the day prior and they saw us on time. Marie was engaging and it's obvious they love their clientele! Definitely will be seeing you all again soon and I'm looking forward to it! read more

Came here with my husband, two girl friends and one 5 year old. My girlfriends really enjoyed their pedi and the techs were awesome with the kiddo. My husband was unimpressed and the tech nicked his skin pretty bad. I was also very unimpressed, I think my girl was new because she lacked confidence and gave the lamest massage I've had. She also didn't really groom my toes very well. But I'm writing this review because I removed my polish today after 1 month since the pedi and this is what my nails looked like. I've never had nails so severely damaged after a regular polish pedicure. Not really sure what happened but we'll not be returning and I would hate for someone else to have the same bad experience. read more

Moved here a little over a year ago and was nervous to have to find a new nail salon. I was super impressed with all the nail techs at TJ nails and spa. Such a wonderful atmosphere when you walk in, everyone is so welcoming and sweet. They also now have availability to do hair cuts, and I was needing one really bad. Megan did an awesome job on my hair and eyebrows. I highly recommend this salon for all your pampering needs. read more

I moved from Washington State 4 years ago. I have been searching for a quality salon the entire time. Cody is now my permanent nail technician. He is very experienced and talented. I have tried most salons in Clovis and many in Amarillo. No one compares to Cody. The salon is beautiful, clean and well ventilated. The staff are friendly and competent. Cody's nails last 3 weeks easily. I have received compliments on my nails everywhere. I would give Cody 6 stars if I could. Highly recommend. read more
