I loved my experience here and my nails look gorgeous. I am new to Clovis and had a very bad experience with Star Nails on Prince. Going to VIP was such a relief and restored my confidence that things are going to be ok here. It's stressful being in a new town. The manager guy was so patient answering all my questions. There was a good vibe inside. I love that they are open far later than other places. My nail lady was nice, relaxed, efficient and quietly confident. Tips I can give you are that they are on Main St across from Dairy Queen and next to Little Caesars. The signs in that complex are hard to see day or night. I love old kitschy places and this strip mall is quite unique lol. read more

I've been going to VIP nails for about 2 years every time I go I get the same service done and the price is always different but this is the worst service I've had. I asked for a full set with french tips and a gel basic pedicure. They didn't push back or cut my cuticles and there wasn't a foot massage. The full set is probably the worst i've received, each nail is a different shape and length. The french tips are all different thicknesses, some are smudged and line aren't even. I was passed around between 3 different techs and everyone seems like they were in a huge hurry and didn't pay attention to detail. I've looked forward to my trips to Clovis just to visit VIP Nails ... I wasn't thrilled with a recent visit but thought it may have just been an off day BUT on July 15 2023, I asked for the most expensive pedicure offered and it was preformed in a speed record time. The technician "female" spent so little time trimming my cuticles that I had to request that she work additionally on 3 separate toes. The wax treatment was so rushed it didn't even set up properly. Basically I sure didn't get the 60.00 pedicure I requested.. There were so few patrons in there and my technician sloppily applied polish and immediately got on her phone ... she had the audacity to question her "tip" To many places in Clovis NM to pay for services that the facility doesn't care to provide. read more

My first experience here was great, I had gotten a fill and a new gel design and it was beautiful and lasted three weeks. The most recent time I came in here was the 15th of July. I asked for a complete new set, as my natural nails were too grown out. She began by removing my old acrylics with a nail tip, picking at the lifted areas and sliding the tip in between my natural nail and the acrylic to pop it off. This was painful and very damaging to my nails. But whatever right, everyone has their own way. So she starts the new set, no cuticle prep, the nails are different lengths, and the tips are too big and stabbing my fingers. She does the design pretty well but started too low on the pointer and ring finger and it looks like my nails are already grown out. It's now the 22nd and all of my nails are lifting towards the cuticle. Not to mention they charged me $81 after tax. read more

For the prices you pay the quality is not worth it. And the worst part is you get surprise charges once they're ringing you up.

They like to charge you for every little thing and will not tell you what you are being charged for. Paid $75 for some nails that looked nothing like the picture. Went to USA and was charged $60 for a new set, including the manicure. Paid $25 just for some paint on my toes at VIP and my friend paid $25 for a whole pedicure at USA. Make it make sense. VIP is trash and has terrible service. read more

So I have been here before and came during the week and had super fast but amazing service, I got my toes and nails done while I was getting a pedicure I was given water and little gummy snack which was so cute I've never been somewhere that has done that I thought it was so cool but haven't got a pedicure in awhile so I don't know if they still do that, my nails came out amazing. Well I went back today after like months and it was busy but I knew it would be because it's Sunday, my nails came out so nice and super beautiful, I did have to wait but it happens sometimes but it was definitely worth the wait and the price wasn't that bad since I got a full set of acrylics gel polish and 3 designs on hand I think it was $55 with tax. First thing to start, this place is dirty ASF! We got a pandemic going on, and they did not clean any part of the station between the person before me and after. No tools were cleaned, no chairs, not the table, NOTHING. There was white nail powder filings all over the tools. And they had the audacity to check my temperature when I arrived (which doesn't bother me) but like you gonna check my temperature and be telling people to put masks on like we're gonna be the one spreading germs when you can't even clean your tools or station? So the guy doing my nails starts putting the tips on filing and what not and I'm like alright this isn't too bad but then when it comes time to put the acrylic on he pulls out this jar of GREEN LIQUID. I was like "why is that green?" And he's like "oh it's because I mix different colors like pink and yellow" and I'm thinking what does that mean. And then he says "don't worry it's fresh" BOY. I just saw him pull that jar out like he just pulled out some lake water. I was internally screaming and I wanted to leave so bad but like he already put my tips on. That liquid was NOT new or anywhere near fresh. Part of me just stayed bc he said these nails were gonna be $65 and I was like alright these better be the best nails I've ever gotten. I was dead wrong. Also the "fresh" liquid he used that he got all over my fingers made my fingers feel sticky and gooey. Besides all this, my nails look awful. He didn't know how to ombré, he didn't bring the acrylic even close to my cuticle so my nails already look a week grown out. He asked me one time if I liked them which was after he did my first pinky nail that I could barely see behind the glass they had put up between us and it looked fine at that point since he had just started and I didn't think that was gonna be the finished product. I guess I'm too nice or I didn't inspect my nails enough when I was there bc I had to file off the acrylic that had dried on the sides of my fingers when I got home. I've been to great nail salons where I used to live and got a fantastic ombré for $45. VIP Nails is out of their minds if they think an ombré like this is worth $70 after tax after seeing how bad this was I told them I didn't want my toes done anymore. No way I was gonna let them touch my toes if they're not cleaning their tools. If I can find somewhere to report this place for how dirty they were, I'm gonna do it. Thankfully I took a picture of the dirty acrylic liquid. I'm in shock that this place was one of the better rated salons in Clovis. read more

This would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for Kathy who did my pedicure. I will give this place another chance since the manager was super on track with customer service. He checked on me multiple times, made sure the water temperature was still adequate while I was waiting, gave me and my husband drinks and asked for feedback at the end. The lady who did my nails was very good too and nice. Kathy on the other hand, was extremely rude and didn't cut my nails properly and didn't bother filing some of my toe nails either. She barely scraped my sole for 10seconds and when I asked her about the calluses removal which was included in the deluxe pedicure she got upset got another tool and scrapped the bottom of my feet for another 10seconds then was done. The 15mn massage consisted of hot stones for again another 10secs then lotion for 5mn. Just don't book with her she's horrible and doesn't seem like she likes her job very much. read more

Nice people. My nails are beautiful. But it took four whole hours. I've never taken that long at a nail shop before. And it was pricey. We did get a $15 gift certificate for it taking so long, but we are only in town visiting and it took a whole day from us. Maybe if you're under staffed, instead of taking people on and getting them going, set appropriate time expectations with your customers first. We would have waited until tomorrow or went somewhere else. read more

I went yesterday a lot of people had problem with their nails so it wasn't just me. It was so dirty and they didn't clean after themselves. My nails have streaks and lumps and it was not worth what I paid for my nails. I will never go back there and having to get my nails fixed at another nail salon. read more

I love VIP Nails!! It's the only place I know in Clovis I know that does gel nails. Not just gel polish but UV gel nails. (Same idea as acrylic but instead of powder and liquid it's a jelly like product use to build the nail) it's always really quiet, NEVER packed. Forever customer. read more

The owner and or manager I think his name is Allen is very rude to the girls that worked there. very bossy even in front of customers I find him to be very unprofessional. The young lady doing my nails(I think her name was ellen or Iva)was very professional and I was shocked that she didn't even roll her eyes at him. My two daughters and I had our nails done and they came out awesome, the staff is very polite, and the prices are competitive, also my youngest daughter had her eyebrows waxed for the first time and the were right next to perfect! The service is fast and we'll continue to go there! read more

I have been to this location twice and will never go back. I'm not sure what I was thinking even going a second time. While getting a full acrylic set done they caused my fingers to bleed and burn (it felt as if they were actually on fire) and in the end my nails looked like they had blobs on top of them. The best place I have ever been to! They are so friendly and the place is so clean. They take their time while doing your nails and no other place I've been to did that. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. I went there to have my nails done, the next day I had polish start to peel off of one of my nails. After they fixed it they charged me for fixing it!!! Really??? Three days later the same nail along with two others started peeling off again and once again they charged me. They were rude and acted as if they had more important things to do besides take care of customers who HAD to pay for the mistakes they had obviously made.
