Gentleman's Barber will set you up right. Located right across the street from Green acres Park and…read moreneighbors with Fouzhou's. You can literally catch some dinner literally and if you don't, then grab some Chinese food and get a clean cut all in the same area. Parking wise this place shares a parking lot with Fouzhou's but this place sticks out like. With it's graffiti art exterior with Clovis legends etched on the outside, this place reminds of the shops on the west coast. It even has the classic blue red and white barber pole. Once inside your greeted by a clean interior with lots of heart. They have a small selection of pay for drinks and a TV while you wait. It's a bit modern and retro. The interior is newly renovated but it has soul and personality. Service wise Joe is top notch and he takes his time and genuinely cares about your hair. He's the owner and also the main barber. He can keep a decent conversation and if you're the type to just enjoy a cut and not say anything he can do that too. You can usually tell how much a barber cares by their clippers and Joe rocks the classic maroon Oster but with a modern twist. You only need one swipe with these bad boys and Joe takes his time. He'll make sure your fade has a smooth gradient and isn't choppy like most other places. Also he can go as low as a 0000 so all the military dudes or ladies can go hog wild. He also does some scissor work for those with thinner hair. Cost wise this place is a nice medium. You get a quality cut that isn't overpriced. For $15 dollars its a good deal. There are places in town that may be more expensive but you get the same quality at a much more affordable price. Call it a $20 with tip and your good to go. At some places when you get your cut and the barber is finally done you kinda have to Grease the wheels a bit. But joe's cuts are the bees knees. Great for a casual work cut or a steamy hot date this place can do both. *walk ins are welcome just as I did, so no need to sweat it and make an appointment in advance but expect a small wait when it gets busy.

Locker room cuts, isnt some super supplement you can take to get some pure gainz with some bro…read morescience. Its a Clovis version of sports cuts or your typical men's sport haircut place providing patrons sports, shampoo and a haircut on the side. Ambience: here is clean and with a purpose. I came here after work and traffic was light. When you enter you find a decent sized place to sit down while they take your name. Overall it's nice and modern but not over the top. You see lots of sports themed memorabilia from the yard markings in the shampoo room, to the baseball pictures and basketball references in each of the haircut stations. Service: Was nice and straight forward. Got my name in and got to take a seat in one of their station. I got the champ which is all the fixings (shampoo, head massage and haricut) they seemed overall friendly which is nice with a place being just freshly opened. Small talk: I feel like it's a super important point when it comes to getting your hair done. Sure some people like to just sit and get their hair trimmed. But I get my hair cut on a bi-monthly basis so I enjoy getting to know the person cutting my hair and like knowing they can keep a conversation that's not forced but genuine to a point. My barber was able to keep up a decent conversation. It didn't seem forced and made the experience enjoyable. The cut: the cut literally makes or breaks a place. Ive received cheap 10 dollar cuts that would cost up to 30-50 dollars at a fancy stylist and I've gotten 60-80 dollar cuts that may have been priced in the low teens to mid twenties. The person who cut my hair did a decent job. Nice fade work and took the time to blend it. Additionally requested a bit off the top and saw some scissor work as well. Overall experience was maybe 20-25 minutes worth. The cut in the end looked decent. NOTE : you can really tell the experience level of a barber by the type of clippers they use in their art form. From fancy multi trimmers to just the basics. That is not to say a good cut can't be done with some entry level clippers. I consider the basics a good ole Oster with the removable blade levels as the standard for a decent clipper. It shows that they take what they do seriously or at least want to seem like it. It removes even the toughest of hair in one swipe and is clean and does the job. Additonally they have a very distinct doing that whines like an old school barber. The lowest this business can clip your hair is a 0 . But if you want that baby's butt feel on your head you'll have to finish it off yourself at home. Most mom and pop places offer a 0, 00, or 000. Also this place does not offer straight razor line ups which is something more of a lost art form. If your lucky you'll find a mom and pop shop that will do it all for a decent price. Price: wise it's about the same as a sports clips. Getting the shampoo is always good. Did not recognize if they used the good Paul Mitchell tea tree oil minty stuff that most sports clips places use to cleanse your hair. But it's priced decently. You can expect high teens for a regular cut and mid to high twenties for a shampoo and tip. Overall, this place fills a spot for men's cuts in Clovis. It provides the customer availability which sometimes is hard in a town where shops close on Sunday and trims hair at a decent price. This place has some bells and whistles but not the whole shebang. They give you a decent cut and the small talk is good. But do wish they could offer a straight razor with a fresh razor and the aftershave. But that in itself would take some time to get used to. If you want to treat yourself this is definitely a good place to go. It's almost the male equivalent of a spa but doesn't cost you an arm and a leg and you can be in and out in 30mins if traffic is light. Oh yah and with your visit at last for the champ it comes with a drink!!

Excellent Service every time I go. Friendly atmosphere. Speedy service. No long wait timeread more

They just brought on a new guy and he seems to be pretty good with a set of clippers as well. Their prices are reasonable for the different age groups, what you're having done (normal cut, beard, shape up, razor to hair washing). The atmosphere is comfortable and the crowd that comes in is diverse (from babies to mature, service and non-service people) They are attentive to the customer in the seat, holding conversation and making sure you get the hair cut you desire. And if you don't like to wait, call them up and make an appointment, they are good at not double booking or going more then a 10 minutes past your scheduled seat time. If you're ever looking for a place to get a haircut I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you get a cut from one of the three individuals at Urban Style Cuts.
